Luv Vida we did 2 rounds of Ivf. Both rounds we got one normal pgs tested embryo. The first round the embryo didn’t implant. Our baby girl was our 2nd round. Implantation worked after we did the era test and transferred a day later.
Fruitful: My Fertility Journey thanks! I would do the ERA. It is so difficult to get one embryo so this is another assurance before you transfer. We did egg retrieval first then did ERA on our 2nd round. Good luck. I’ll check out your videos.

Alexandra, I feel your pain. I have done Two rounds of IVF first one did not take, 2 nd one ended up in miscarriage at 7 weeks. I am heart broken not sure if I want to continue
You weren’t offered because it ensures you’ll be back to try again and spend more money- this is how they make their money- I’m almost wondering if you were pregnant the first time and when they told you to stop the medication? Is the endometrial scratch the same thing as the ERA testing? I’m happy for you results! 💜
endometrial scratch is not the same as ERA. Since you had a failed implantation I would ask your doctor about it. I trusted my doctor. With my window of implantation a day later it makes sense it was trying to implant but couldn't.
Laura Laws so I asked my doctor. And she said that it’s the exact procedure as the scratch. ( the ERA ) so she said I won’t need a scratch. Do you think I should insist on the scratch anyway? My ERA is scheduled on Monday. So I won’t transfer until late April. What do you think? It seems like doctors have difference in opinions about the scratch or being like the ERA test!
Lilith’s Silver Moon I’ve been looking into this test and it’s safe to say the ERA is like an embryo scratch; BUT an embryo scratch is NOT an ERA. So your doctor is right. If you do a transfer in the next cycle after the ERA, then your uterus essentially already got a ‘scratch’ as part of the ERA biopsy. However if you take several months to do the transfer, then the effect of the scratch is gone and you might therefore need to do a scratch separately. Hope that helps and good luck on your transfer 🧡
Thank you for this video. One thing I’m confused on is...did you have to go through a cycle of stims to perform the ERA test? Then the following month would be the FET. I’ve heard it referred to as a mock cycle.
Yes, They give you the same drugs like you are doing a FET. For me that was progesterone and delestrogen but you only inject for a couple of weeks. It's not the following month because the results take awhile (I think it was 2 weeks) and then you have to get your period to start the drugs for the FET. Hope that helps!
Laura Laws thank you! I’m going to start IVF in Jan after 2 failed IUIs I’m trying to set myself up for success (obviously :)) My RE has yet to mention this test but I want to address it with her. She did say I should do PGS which I agree with. Thx again and your daughter is so beautiful! It’s not an easy journey but so worthwhile 💕
jen m that’s exactly what happened to me 2 years ago. 2 failed iuis then I started ivf in January. My dr didn’t offer it on my first round but if you are older or some other issue causes you to have a small amount of pgs tested embryos you don’t want to waste them if you are in that 25% where your implantation window is a day later. Its a huge roller coaster. It’s so worth it.
Hello! Currently researching this test. Sounds like a no brainer. Was this a paid ERA test ad review? I ask because you said some links you get paid on (get it girl!) but I want to make sure I properly asses everything. Thanks!
No it was not paid for. Completely unbiased review. We paid for this ourselves on recommendation of our dr. I really wanted to share because we most likely would not have had a child without it.
Unfortunately, I have the worst memory. I'm not sure what the difference is any more. I have an IVF playlist with all of my videos on IVF. It must be in there!
I'm so sorry. I can't remember. I did pgs testing so we were looking for chromosomally abnormalities. The grading didn't seem to work because some were rated high but failed pgs testing. Hope that helps.

I'm so sorry to hear that. I understand the heartbreak. The ERA test could be the answer and it doesn't cost that much! Good luck! Sending you lots of love and luck!!!
hi Laura, I was just wondering, from the start of your injections to the results of the era test, how long of a time frame was that? and then how long did you have to wait to have your FET? thanks!
I started shots for the egg retrieval on 6/1 then 6/21 was the egg retrieval. Then I started Del Estrogen for the ERA on 7/15 (I think but I will check) and then the biopsies were on 8/2 & 8/4. The results from the ERA took 2 weeks (I think) then I started birth control on 8/14 and began Del Estrogen for my transfer sometime the first week of September. My transfer was 9/22. It does delay your transfer quite a bit getting the ERA done but I think it is essential to anyone doing IVF. I'll double check my dates and edit this if it is different. Hope that helps. I'm sending you luck and lots of love in your IVF journey!
I haven't had that test done but I did have experience with servical biopsy and endoscratch. The endoscratch for me personally felt very uncomfortable but the pain was pretty much gone 3-5 minutes after the procedure.
