Thank you for this interesting video! My understanding is that different clinics (and countries) all use a different grading system. My embryos were all C grade but I'm finally pregnant with my daughter! Don't lose faith if you have a lower grade embryo!

@@InfertilityTV hi Doc thank you for the information, I had a previous failed icsi cycle, now doing the second cycle on day 9 today, I did a home pregnancy test with negative results but having alot of lower abdominal cramping, I know only after 14days I was asked to do bloods but out of curiosity I did home test, does this mean it ddnt work again??

I would like to hear your specialized opinion about the use of antidepressants and female fertility. I have read several articles pointing out to effects on the pituitary-hypothalamus axis on females affecting FSH levels, and even on heart malformations in the fetus during pregnancy. What day is a 6 day blastocyst transferred back into the uterus in a natural trigger shot frozen transfer?
I just did a transfer of a 4 days embryo i was so surprised when they called me they told me he is développing quickly and reached the blastocyst already. As far as i know his still a morula .

Hello Dr, I have underwent 3 IVF cycles. All of them failed. Te last cycle I had 5AA blastocyst transfer, it got implanted,got bhcg result 22.58 on day 14 blood test after transfer but on day 18th the result became negative. I did chromosomal genetic testing and it was a normal blastocyst with no complication. May I know the reason for this failure

Do Day 5 vs Day 6 blasts matter for pregnancy rates? I’ve seen conflicting info on that.
I had rounds 4 IVF total of 5 transfers. The first 2 were normal per PGT but it didn't result to pregnancy. 3rd and 4th no PGT neither pregnancy but on the 5th a 4BB grade embryo without PGT resulted to pregnancy but miscarried at 8 weeks - blighted ovum.

I got three normal 1BC, Dr. suggest me do not transfer these embryos because it’s not developed. Is that correct? Should I continue another cycle to collect eggs?

I am 36 and had 13 eggs retrieved from almost 30 follicles.. meaning many were empty.. do you know why this may be? 9 were fertilized with IMSI and now we are waiting to know how many survive.. they are being frozen because I my LH started rising before the medication to stop it was given. Also worth noting, my E2 was super high a day or two before the retrieval.

Hi Doctor, 12 oocytes picked up. Out of 12 only 2 reached blastocyst stage. I am already having girl child. Iam looking for male child for family Balancing. How much chance we have for male child as it reached blastocyst stage. My age is 34. Husband age is 36. Very very interesting topic!! It’s so true that grading is just so subjective!! Also, I had 3 embryos that made it to blastocyst/freeze and they were biopsied before freeze. Guess what? I had a 4AA, 4AA, and a 3AB embryos. The Normal ones?? 1 of the 4AA’s and the 3AB!! One of my 4AA’s had chromosomal abnormalities! I thought for sure the 3AB wouldn’t be “Normal” in its chromosomal structures. Well, I was wrong and just goes to show even the “prettiest embryos” aren’t always the best! I’m currently 13w6d pregnant from my PGS normal 4AA embryo and have my other little one, the 3AB waiting for me for transfer sometime in the future 🥰

Doctor my wife had conceived via IVF . After 2 months anencephaly neural tube defect was detected and pregnancy was terminated. She was taking 12mg of progynova estrogen supplement, along with Sustene progesterone supplement, 300 micro gram of folic acid and other doctor suggested medications. I want to know is progesterone and estrogen supplements may caused neural tube defect ? are they safe during pregnancy ? please help

Just underwent egg retrieval yesterday and today (after 1 day) the embryologist told us that out of the 7 eggs that were retrieved, 5 were inseminated.
My question is, can the other 2 that have not yet been inseminated still catch up or are they lost by now?

I had a successfull transfer of 2 embryoes: Bb and Bc. They were from 2 different egg donors. Only one attached and im pregnant. We are courious which donor that was, doctors think its more chance that its the bb embryo. How probably it could be its the opposite?

I have PCOS and I took both. I had more success with letrozole. I never ovulated on clomid but I did one time on three cycles of letrozole.

I did mind on 28th of July! 7th day is still little early. Try to do it another one on your 10th or 11th day. Last cycle I was negative on the 7th then positive on the 10th. Good luck

I just had my first IVF cycle and I was able to get 28 blasts to freeze. On day 5 I 10 blasts- 4 of AA quality the rest AB and BA. However the expansion rate for all was only 3. The next day, day 6 I had 18 more make it to blasts 10 of which were AA all expanded to 4 or more. However I didn’t test my day 6 embryos and I am kicking myself. I realized that the reason the embryos were growing slower is because I asked the lab to specifically try to produce girls and studies show that girls develop slower than boys most times right? So I guess my question is would you prefer to use a Day 5 3AA or a day 6 4AA? I was told the day matters more too

The lab can't specifically produce girls. They can only guess which sperms are female and which are male, there's no way to tell before PGA testing of the blastocyst (at which point sex is already determined).
My egg retrieval was done on Tuesday with 6 eggs only... I have PCOD( endometriosis cysts) in both ovaries..so my doctor said that they will do frozen embryo transfer... So, doctor what are my chances as they retrieved only 6 eggs?

How did you get on? Did you have the transfer? 4bc I read the chances of pregnancy is 33% and live birth 25%.

And same for PGD or any other testing... all we can do is increase chances of birth, hair and eye colour, and gender, but there's no way to select a healthier, stronger etc. baby?
There is no relationship between the appearance of an embryo under a microscope and whether a subsequent child will be stronger or healthier
@@InfertilityTV It seems to me there's no way to really select for health, other than taking prenatal vitamins, parents being healthy, then just mono-genetic testing... but there's no way I can somehow have a healthier child using IVF, right?

This is not about egg quality it's about maturity. M2 our eggs that can have a sperm added to attempt fertilization. M1 eggs are immature and therefore cannot be fertilized unless they mature further
