I did need to do the genetic testing with my IVF, I have had 5 losses, and was able to confirm the last one was due to abnormal embryo. I am glad I did, only one of my embryos was normal, and really high quality. Transfer day was this week, I’m waiting for my bloodwork, and I am SO nervous. Having had so many losses, I’m so so worried, but also so so excited!
We are so grateful for pgta testing! Without this testing we would have never gotten answers on our "unexplained infertility" diagnosis. We had an extremely high rate of abnormal embryos, wide variety of conditions that were not compatible with life. Also possibly explained our chemical pregnancies.
I love your videos! They are so informative and helpful as I’m going through IVF. Can you do a video on modified natural vs fully medicated transfer protocols? And any research around it?
Hi Lora! My husband and I are in the process of IVF and using a gestational carrier that we have already matched with. I am on my period and start my treatment today for the start of my egg retrieval procedure. I am 36 years old but my doctor told me that my AMH and ovarian reserves are similar to a 32 year old. I have 17 total follicles 10 in right and 7 in left. I am so nervous. What are the success rates for embryo transfer to gestational carrier? Have you done a video on this? Any advice for me? Thank you doctor! You are amazing and so informative!
I think it should be the parents' right to decide whether to tranfer an "abnormal" embryo or not, as those still have chances to implant and produce a healthy happy baby. I don't like when people's biologic material is seized, especially based on uncertain findings. In Poland it is btw. illegal to destroy embryos or use them for science, the MUST be donated if not used by their parents. But I don't get it - if there are C-rated, abnormal tested embryos from a 40-year old couple left over, is it ethical to force them on desperate couples who pay a lot for fertiliy treatment with embryo donation? And if those leftover embryos are not donated, then do they have to be stored forever, taking up energy and space that should better be used for embryos with good chances?? And is it ethical to force parents to give their unborn to adoption, forever worrying if their children somewhere are ok? I guess it is legal to transfer the embryos over the border to have other countries dispose of them. But this happens if lawmakers have no idea what they're doing.
Hi mam , i am pregnant for 5 weeks and 5 days, but I am having brown spotting, and my beta HCG on 5 weeks 1 day it was 302 , again tested beta HCG on 5 weeks 4 days level is 536.9, y my baby is not growing, i have 4 years baby, 4 months back I had a miscarriage in 4 weeks.

Thank you for this video!! I was surprised you didn't mention mosaics at all. I hope you will do a video on this topic!
Great suggestion!
@@drlorashahineI would love a video on mosaics as well! I have two HLM :)

I did this a few weeks ago - check it out!
Thank you. This was such an informative video.
Glad it was helpful!
Great video, thank you! (Just to clarify, a P value below 0.05 is statistically significant, not 0.5
Thank you!

Thank you for sharing that I was not aware of Poland’s policy
So what does that mean if the woman is over 40? Like close to mid-40s??
As eggs age, higher percentage of abnormal embryos
@drlorashahine ahh, I see. That's unfortunate 😬
