    Thank you Dr. Lora. I am 32 years old and today, I just had my 5th embryo transfer after 4 previous failed attempts. Thank you for telling us not to feel guilty. Each time I got that negative pregnancy test, I went back and wondered all the things I could have done wrong. For example, maybe I walked too much, maybe I went to the restroom too much. This video definitely gives me ease for these next 2 weeks of waiting. So thank you!

    I’m a doctor (oncology) but have never had cancer myself.
    The fact that you as RE have had IVF yourself, I know it shouldn’t matter, but it makes you and your content much more respectable or commendable. Or relatable.

      Last year I had two in vitro fertilizations and neither of them worked. At the time I blamed everyone, myself, my husband, the medical team, the lack of psychological support, everything, and it was a really bad time in my life, a huge pain that served as trauma, and my relationship almost didn't survive. We stopped for 1 year, we both took care of ourselves, had a better diet, went to the gym and traveled a lot to manage our stress, and finally gained the courage to schedule an appointment to transfer our only frozen embryo. I hope this time we can do it… Best wishes to all the women who are going through or have gone through this, we are strong and there is nothing wrong with us. We will make it 💪🏻❤

    Thank you so much for these videos! :) It's nice to have an easy and reliable source of information.
    Fun fact: Where I come from, pineapple is one fruit that we're asked to avoid completely during early pregnancy. Apparently pineapple contains something that causes contractions in the uterus and helps loosen the cervix, so women are made to eat pineapple only as their due date approaches. That's the folklore I've heard :)

      @drlorashahine interesting in europe its 400 of folic acid. I have been getting my supplements from there due to my folate levels both serum and rbc being really high and some studies showing a link to autism with high folic acid. All the supplements here have such high doses and then additionally its fortified in food

      Never eat pineapple. My mom almost lost me because of that, she got severe aches soon after eating. In my country we never eat pineapple, it leads to miscarriage at the later stage, grapes and raw papayas along with sushi or some cheese Sortiments are not advisable. Also avoid salami and so on.

      The reason people say that about pineapple because the bromlain can be like an enzyme which can “eat at” you, much like a papaya--papayas are great for you but for pregnancy is discourage because of the enzymes in it.

    I do believe that embryo can’t fall out but how come it’s possible for some people who to get ectopic pregnancy after embryo transfer. It shouldn’t happen right unlike natural conception , what’s the explanation behind that . Can you please clarify

    • @drlorashahine
      @drlorashahine  11 месяцев назад

      I know this is so confusing but it can happen. The embryo doesn’t ‘stick’ in the exact place it was put at the time of transfer - it can move with uterine contractions and fluids and sometimes implant in the wrong place 😞
