I’m currently in my first IVF cycle I’m 38 years old I had 11 eggs taken out. 9 were mature. 4 embryos were made. 3 embryos made it to day 5. Only 2 embryos came out chromosomal normal after PGT-A Testing and June 5th is my transfer day.
This was such an informative video. The ease of grasping the info was awesome. Not everyone is able to break things down like you perfectly did. I just subscribed. Thank you for helping families out there.
I did ivf last month. I got 13 eggs and after 1 day the doctor announced that 6 embryos had been created. I was very happy but on days 6 I received notification that there were no embryos. I was shocked and cried a lot. I want to have children but I have no money left
❤❤ have you considered working at Starbucks as a part time job ... I think they give benefits if work for 20 hours per week after 8 months or 12 months ... don't know all the details ❤❤❤
This is heartbreaking 😔 my heart truly brake reading this comment because I know exactly how you feel 😔 I’m currently in my first IVF cycle I’m 38 years old I had 11 eggs taken out. 9 were mature. 4 embryos were made. 3 embryos made it to day 5. Could you please make a video explaining each of the different possible medications that might be used during the egg freezing process and why each of them would be chosen to use? That would be so incredibly helpful ❤ thank you so much for the really clear explanations of things
@@drlorashahine thank you! can't wait to see it! i've seen so many names of medications being thrown around. it would be so helpful to hear about all of them before going for consultation so i can understand exactly what's being suggested and what results it's likely to produce because i've heard different clinics suggest different approaches and have no idea how to compare them. i think lots of people will find that information useful i haven't seen anyone go through them all together in a video and all the drug names i'm unfamiliar with make it sound so complicated and mysterious. it's so much easier to digest information when someone is explaining it clearly than seeing it written down! ❤
Very well explained, thank you so much! My husband and I lost our son in the Nicu 2 days after being born. His autopsy showed neonatal homochromatosis due to GALD so we got genetic screening done on us and turned out we both carry the gene of NH. We are planning on doing IVF with pgta testing hoping we can have a successful birth.
Wouldn’t PGT-A already cover PGT-SR since it is already looking for the correct genetic coding and arrangement? Or would you have to do both tests on the embryos if one parent does come back with the SR Gene?
My husband and I lost our 16 month old son in March to Waardenburg syndrome (13q deletion - severe case). We did testing on ourselves and it turns out my husband also has it (mild case). Our only option now is to do IVF because we don’t want to pass it on again. What’s the best route to go? And what happens to the embryos that DO have chromosomal defects?
I got one Euploid, 1 mosaic, and 1 with no dna. We want 2. I'm so nervous to transfer the mosaic embryo bc I was told we don't know how the baby will develop
Hi. I have a robertsonian balanced translocation 13, 14 and i am 32 years old. I had no issues with conception, from the first try i got pregnant. Unfortunately it ended up with down syndrome and me and my husband decided to go for abortion. My question is should i try naturally again, or should i go IVF with PGT? What are the chances of having a healthy baby if i choose to go the natural way?
Which genetic testing should you advise us, if one of us has a balanced reciprocal translocation? My fertility center decide to do Pgt-A. But I am not sure, maybe we need Pgt-SR. By the way there is no genetic disease in our family.
thank you so much! Would the carrier screening include the structure rearrangement, the second type you mentioned? Or I need to do another separated blood test to find out if either of us has the balanced translocation? Thank you!
This is so interesting it’s blowing my mind 🤯🤯 reproduction is amazing. Would a balanced translocation if you dont have a miscarriage pass down genetically to the child? And if you find it can you correct that embryo? Or you just don’t put that one in and wait for one that doesn’t have it?
Some people with eggs do not identify as women and some people with sperm do not identify as men. I do say men and women for time to time but trying to be inclusive, respectful.

Thank you for your videos. So helpful. Can you do a video on embryo grading?

Do they test for allergies?
We have 3 kids with no allergies
And 3 kids with severe allergies as: Dairy, peanut, tree nuts and sesame
If baby had trisomy 1, can that be rectified by genetic testing in next ivf??
Which genetic testing can also tell you the sex of the embryo?
PGT-A or chromosomal screening of the embryo can tell if the embryo is XX or XY. Thank you for watching!
can u choose the sex of the embryo you want transferred? when can you request chromosomal screening?
Im so glad there is PGT-M, that is our only choice to have a healthy baby.
I was in doubt you have it clear now. Thank you
I'm so glad to hear that! Thank you for watching 😊
What would be recommended for a “No Result” “ Quality Insufficient for Interpretation” for PGT-A result?
Is there any testing possible to separate x & y chromosome sperms before fertilizing the eggs 20:00 ?
How a euploid embryo test can not develop after an embryo transfer its show pregnant is a pregnancy but with out embryo
Hi, Hi ,…., could you please advise us if we should continue with pregnancy if we have Trisomy 20 in the PGT-A. Ur advise will be really appreciated.
Did she cover something explaining what ptg-A?

Parents can pass balanced translocations on to children - remember it increases risk of miscarriage but doesn’t mean all pregnancies affected❤️
Thank you for giving awareness and informative.
My pleasure. Thank you for watching!
Are there any particular brands of genetic hereditary disease/DNA testing that you would recommend?
My clinic currently uses Horizon by Natera but there are many good options
Thank you for explaining this!
My pleasure! Thank you so much for watching!
Thank you, it’s very clear ❤
Thank you so much for watching ❤️🤞🍍
Can you talk more about low mosaic embryos I found out I have 2 low mosaic embryos can those be transferred ? Thank you
Thank you for the topic suggestion Samantha. I'll discuss it in a future post.
Thank you for this video so much!!!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching!
Nicely discussed
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching ❤️
Can we screen for ASD ?
No
Why do u say the person with the egg or person with the sperm?? It's a man or a woman.
