- Our first round of IVF from start to finish with clips from my phone.
This was a difficult one to share. I wasn't sure if I was ever going to post this because it's so emotional and frankly it was difficult to even edit. I truly hope this helps anyone going through the IVF process. I know watching videos of other women's experience helped me get through hard days and either scared the crap out of me (made me cry) or gave me hope! I love talking about IVF and I am so in awe of the science behind it. After 2 rounds I feel like an expert on it even though I know I am nowhere near one.
Good news is after the ERA it showed my window of implantation was a day later. The 2nd round of IVF worked and I am due with our Miracle Baby June 10, 2018! I said casually to my husband yesterday "the three of us" then screamed "oh my gosh soon it will be the three of us". 3 more months until it is the 3 of us!

About Me
My name is Laura Laws and I started this channel because I wanted to get the word out about the ERA test (I thought it would be weird to put it on my Real estate channel). The ERA test is a biopsy they do in the IVF process to see when you are receptive to implantation. It is new and I wouldn’t be pregnant without it! My husband Phil and I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We have 3 ragdoll cats and we are due June 10, 2018 with our first baby girl! You are not alone same thing happened to me I failed my first ivf . everything was fine but from day 8 I felt sick and nauseous vomiting I called repromed end I told my symptom’s they said you should come and do blood test for pregnancy and it wasn’t positive I had hope this will work for me but no

Omg!! I just found this- thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! My first round of IVF failed implantation- I’m on my second round- I did Neupogen and a endometrial scratch this time- I’m also doing acupuncture- the first time- they said everything looked great- but still a fail- hope this second one works!!! I’m 50- and did PGS testing on my 13 embryos and they all tested great except one- so I have 12 total now- one failed embryo so now I have 11 more and we are about to transfer again! That's amazing that you have 11 embryos. What age did you do your retrieval? Take hgh? What's your AMH?
That's awesome I am 39 I got 9 eggs only and 3 made to day 6 and only 1 came back normal we transferred 1 embryo and i am 6 day post transfer

OMG! Thank you so much for posting this! I'm going through the same exact situation at the moment. Your video gives me hope. My husband and I had a great quality embryo with PGS BUT failed implantation. My doctor suggested the same test for biopsy. I'm waiting for my cycle to start the process. I’m glad it helped! A lot of times women don’t share they are doing ivf so it is lonely. Also I just assumed ivf would work. It doesn’t always. Sorry it didn’t work for you but hopefully you get the answers for why. Mine was the ERA test.
I’m going through the exact same thing right now. I’m 8dp5dt (after 12 where I live) and I haven’t gotten a positive test yet. But I still have cramping, swollen breast and frequenter urinating. I think it’s bcuz of the PIO shots. Beta is Monday and I can’t wait to finally get some clarity. I’m glad it worked out for you in the end. This video was very comforting.

I had a fresh transfer 6 yrs ago and was successful.. I was then blessed with two natural pregnancies. I am definitely blessed.. We have decided for t try IVF. We recently had our transfer and have no idea what to expect this time.. How long before you tested at home and what systems did you notice??

Thank you for sharing. We are in the same situation. It was hard seeing a lot of happy stories out there. We only had 3 embryos, none were aa rated either but we tried anyway and all three failed. Here's to hoping our tries work in the future and so glad you have your baby.
Sorry to hear that and thank you for sharing! I hope you have your miracle baby! The ratings on the embryos didn't correspond to the chromosome abnormalities that were detected through pgs with us. Maybe look into pgs if you haven't! Sending luck and love!

So sad and heartbreaking failures happen to us..The first person we turn to when IVF cycle fails is a doctor. She is the person who performed everything from the ovarian stimulation to the embryo transfer. She is the one who advised to do IVF. And yes, she reassures that you have a good chance of succeeding. Patients naturally think that their doctor should have an answer for the most important question that haunts them ‘Why did my cycle fail?’ There are patients who are naive about the IVF process, and who get angry with their doctor when she cannot offer a satisfactory answer for the failure. They start imagining the worst - that their doctor did not perform the procedure well, or that the clinic is not competent, which is why the cycle failed..Well we all draw conclusions and move further.

I had 2 miscarriages and due to my age we moved to iui and then quickly to ivf once we knew the problem was poor egg quality due to my age. I'm glad this helped you!

I’m going through it now, negative tests on 7dp5dt with 3bc Euploid. I’m devastated, have one more but she is 3cc so really nervous.
Thank you for sharing! I also got an ERA test done after two failed embryo transfer. I just did another transfer using the ERA results to time for implantation. I’ve been in bed resting for a couple of days now with light cramping (which I experienced on the last two transfers) & just hoping for good vibes. My doctors in Abington have been wonderful! Fingers crossed!

I just recalled reading up on my research about ERA stating that it could be earlier or later for some women.
Oh yeah! Her husband is a pretty guy too! Understanding and supportive. You really need that support your hormones are taking you every which way. In the end it’s sure is worth it. A tiny, adorable new life.

I'm sorry to hear this. But when an IVF cycle fails unfortunately no one has an answer. Not even your doctor! You might have had a perfect cycle - lots of eggs, good fertilization rate, good quality embryos, excellent endometrium, easy embryo transfer - But no positive pregnancy test! On the other hand your friend might have had a very poor IVF cycle (with few eggs and poor quality embryos) and they might end up getting pregnant! IVF is like a gamble - which involves not only your money, but also your fragile baby dreams! The sad truth is that there is no logical explanation for the outcome of an IVF cycle. Be it a success or a failure. Once the embryo is transferred to the uterus, no one knows what happens to it after this..Be strong, luv, I'm praying for your following cycle to be successful.

Hi Laura , got this video recommended on RUclips today and I m glad it did because I can associate our story so well with yours . My wife was 5 weeks pregnant and then miscarriage happened in IVF , my wife got gestational diabetes and now on insulin shots 3 times a day, I will also follow your diet tips on the same in your other videos , started to watch them now , also wanted to check did you get your IVF success in 2 nd cycle ? And what all things you did better on 2 nd cycle , we r planning on doing genetic testing of embryo before we get our 2 nd cycle started in august now , we had a good quality BB embryo and got 11 embryos , my wife got a good reading in hcg test too 3485 we were so happy until a week back when early miscarriage happened and with bleeding we lost it all 😑😑 watching your videos is giving us some motivation for sure , thanks Namaste and hello from India 🙏
Hi Kris and Namaste from USA! I'm sorry for your struggles. We did have success in our 2nd round and we have our miracle baby girl who just turned 3. I did a video with tips for IVF success but our issue was we are older and my eggs were not good quality so testing them was key. Also, we discovered the reason for the first IVF not working was my window of implantation was later which we figured out from the ERA test. Sounds like genetic testing may give you more answers. Good luck to you and I hope it all works out for your family. Now that we have our daughter all that heartbreak and struggle is far behind us and I hope the same for you!

Feeling happy to let you know that we took our 2 nd IVF cycle in September 2021 after 1 st failed as miscarriage and by gods grace even though had little hiccups on the way . Our son was born at 37 weeks and 5 days via da section 🙂🙂😇 finally after 8.9 years we got blessed with a baby boy on May 21 st 2022 👼🏻❤️❤️ thought of sharing this with you . I'm 40 yrs old too and had a fresh embryo transfer on day 5 with 2 embryos implanted out of the 6. So now I'm going crazy...I'm on day 10 after my embryos transfer and noticed some light pinkish/brown spotting. I cried and am wondering how is this happening all of a sudden? Right now I should be on my period so it's scaring the sh*t out of me. I even argue with my husband bcz I'm blaming myself whether it was something i did? I'm terrified right now but I'm praying that my spotting doesn't get worse or I'll be devastated.
I remember how stressful it is. Try to relax and be kind to yourself! There’s a lot of reasons why ivf doesn’t work. Some are explained and a lot you’ll never know why. Good luck. I’m sending you lots of love and luck!

How many cycles of IVF did you end up doing?
I did 2. I did pgs. Era. And we have our beautiful 3 yr old daughter from ivf. I have an ivf playlist if you want more details on any of that!
I’m pretty sure this round (my first FET, first IVF Cycle) has failed. I’m heartbroken, but I know my feelings are justified watching other amazing ladies going through the process, and the feelings the same as me.
I’m so sorry. It is heartbreaking. I remember. I had to grieve what could have been and then had to hope and look to the future to fight for our little miracle.

Hi! I’m so glad it helped. I had miscarriages so likely my eggs were causing it from my age so PGS was a must for me. Only 1 out of 7 & 1 out of 6 of my embryos were normal on my 2 rounds of ivf.

I failed all three treatments. They want to do an insemination next, but my husband and I have finances to pay for. Even though my insurance covers most of the process, it’s still a little bit much for us right now. I do feel like the treatments did help in some way since my issues is more of hormonal imbalance. A few times I had cysts, which resulted in having to skip the appointment until they ruptured on their own. The next few months, my egg was a good size and I did the injection. In the end, I got negative results. At this point, I’m not sure if I can get pregnant. To be honest, I think my body is killing the sperm. They said everything else looks normal. My eggs just won’t fertilize.
I’m confused on why you stopped your meds?
I got a negative but apparently the embryo was still trying to implant.

I didn't have any to freeze. Both rounds I only had one normal embryo that we transferred.
How much weight did you gain if any for each cycle
I didn't track it but it was a little. The hormones are tough on your body!
I just came across your channel! I am 41, just had my first IVF cycle failed. I have very low AMH and DOR. We had 7 eggs retrieved; 2 fertilized... (1 - 4 cell and 1 - 8 cell), did a 3 day fresh transfer for both embabies. Sadly we lost them, however I did have multiple positive pregnancy tests in the tww... unfortunately my first beta resulted in HCG levels 3. Thank you for sharing your story!

I'm so sorry. I know how hard it is so I can't imagine 6 times! Hang in there. It's worth it for your miracle baby. My AMH was high for my age. I can't remember exactly what the dr said. My problem was my egg quality was poor.

I faced ivf failures too. And know what? We all react differently. Some of us might blame themselves, because they start thinking that their body is not conducive for achieving a pregnancy. Or that their uterus is not good enough to accept the embryo. Or that they are not fit to carry a baby. Some believe that their body is defective or that it “rejected” the embryo. Many start obsessing about all the ‘mistakes’ they did during the 2ww. Starting from not taking enough rest to eating certain so called forbidden foods. Many patients start blaming themselves for the IVF failure and might even think that it is a punishment from God! But a well informed, IVF literate patient understands that an IVF failure is nobody’s fault ad that there are too many reasons for bfp not happening..This is a sad truth..

I had been on ivf journey from 2020 tik 2023 n till now i have not conceived.
I had a 3mths miscarriage
I had a 2 n a half months twins chemical pregnancy n recently i had a 6weeks miscarriage too
Now i am on my final journey before i give up forever

What is grade of ur blastocysts
I believe I talked about it in one of my videos but it's been so long I can't remember. I found that the grade did not make a difference because my issue was the quality of the eggs. So I had high grade embryos that were abnormal chromosomally.
I lost my baby after premature birth 10days...i know the pain.. It's nvr goes.. Alwys stays in it.. Whtvr v do.. I'm trying for 2nd..

What's your embryo quality
Due to my age the quality was not good so that is why I pgs tested for chromosome abmoralities.
I am 27 and for genetic reasons we decided to try IVF. We only had one normal embryo to implant and it failed : (

It's Harder then most people can even know going through this because you want the baby sooo much. I lost my first after 7 weeks. And second fet no implantation. 1 more try. Tbh I think that I might have to harvest again seeing as it's a ca grade.

@@magicalmomlaura yeah i just assumed so too. I didn't know that it is actually very hard for many women. Not sure if it would have been better knowing or not knowing how difficult. And i have to go through so much emotional work to get through this.
It is a lot to get through emotionally but you will get through it! And be stronger for it!
@@magicalmomlaura had my last 2 embryos transferred and it didn't take. I just can't decide where to go from there. Do I take a month break from it all to destress or do I just carry on. And a month break obviously delays getting a baby as December is closer. And you have to take a extra cycle rest from harvest. Does stress have enough of an effect on egg harvest quality.... feels like so much hanging on this harvest
@@gracelingirl5087 I'm so so so sorry. I remember the heartbreak and stress when my IVF failed. It's devastating and I had to take time to grieve. So listen to your body and do what's best. When I felt the grief pass then I was ready to go again. Did you watch my ERA test video? Did you rule that out?
I have 19 follicles, I am 43 years old, retrived 14 eggs , 9 matured eggs, 8 become embryos , only one is normal after PGS :(, it started from 14 eggs become one only.
That is what happened to me. I had 2 rounds and one normal on each after PGS. But now I have a beautiful baby girl so it does only take one! Be sure to check out my ERA video before your transfer.
I'm 41 and my 1st round I had 15 retrieved, all fertilized, 7 made it to blast, only 1 pgs normal. Last Friday I had my 2nd retrieval 28 retrieved, 21 fertilized and 6 made it to blast (still have 13 that "might" come around). Will send for PGS testing tomorrow with any additional that make it. I'm hoping and praying for at least a couple normal. It's such an emotional process. These videos really help. Thank you for sharing.

Mine didn’t work either, and as a nursing assistant i stopped my own meds the day before official test date. Because I knew my own body.

@@genie121 My implantation window was found to be different than standard. We did the ERA test and that was the reason for my failed IVF. I have an IVF playlist with a video on ERA! Hope it helps!

Noor Parveen I’m so sorry. I know the pain of it not working. I just tried to keep hope that it would happen and it did. I definitely went through the grieving process and then focused on the next steps to take.
