Looks like the part between door and fender takes way more coat but looks also it doesn't affect the final result. Is that correct?

Any tips or tricks for us Ford Mustang aluminum hood folks? I’ve had 3 mustangs with the aluminum hood and everyone has bubbled with corrosion even stored in winter. You would get a ton of views on that repair.

I ordered a base coat that is a urethane. I’m going to do a spot repair. I’m wondering if the metallics in urethane base coats react the same as waterborne metallic paints. Would you recommend a wet bed?

Hello, I have a question, how good is the sata jet 5000 rp 1.3 to leave the same clear coat texture on my gmc sierra truck. I will use the clear coat ppg global D894 high solids. I hope you could advise me a little if it is the right gun or not! Thancks!
Jimmo, would work to first take the first coats of base out as far as you want then keep subsequent coats within that area? A reverse blend?
You could, but with the mid coat you’d have to start past the basecoat.
Would you mind sharing the name of the clear you used I think it looks good ! I would like to try it for some of the jobs that I can’t use the high dollar stuff on . Thank you for the video .

I'm surprised you split the second stage up between the door to the fender .. u don't ever have it go dark on the overlap?
I’ve seen it once on a candy green, but the overlap was caused from trying to cut in the jambs at the same time. Otherwise, I haven’t had an issue doing it this way.

I agree, they are critical for anyone spraying daily. I wear one anytime they're available to me.
What is with you guys that can’t walk the panels.... are your arms to short.... way more consistent finish to spray it all together..... don’t believe me.... try it both ways and take a mil gauge to both jobs..... your routing is awkward looking.....
