I like to PvP, and PvE. Usually wearing an Exo Suit nowadays. Unlocking it is easy with no cheats needed anymore, and usually on a server, official or unofficial, I'm not fussed. Single Player is great though, certainly with a guide for any platform be it xbox, ps4, ps5, pc, it's great. Sometimes play MTS, and usually post patch/update. But a survival game needs some community news and that's what I do, giving you the latest on events, small tribes, maybe even fast flyers and primitive plus, usually covering all maps from Island to Genesis Part 2. And one day. ARK 2!

The Basilisk is easily one of my favourite Aberration tames. The first time I met one, I got destroyed instantly, and from that point I made it my mission to tame it. Since I didn't know that you needed drake eggs to do that, you can immagine how many tranqs I wasted on my first playthrough.
Now I would agree with that statement, IF I COULD FIND A BASILISK

The Rock Drake didn’t win by as much as the Wyvern on Scorched did, but that’s not because the Drake is worse. It’s cause there’s so many awesome choices on Ab!
If there is no Skiff , the drake will probably everyone number 1 choice for moving around Abe .

My favorite map, even though I've played other maps way more, I keep coming back to Aberration. It has the best lighting and those nice ambient droning sounds are so peaceful to me. As soon as I finish with Fjordur I'm going back
The frog (beelzebufo) is top notch on this map. Taking it around to harvest the glow bugs gets you a steady supply of cementing paste. It's an easy early tame and can outrun almost everything on the map. Which is ideal when considering how many basalisks and ravagers spawn.
Just for the people that don't know, you can cryo a baby reaper to make it chill out. That and use a cage for the birthing so it stays still.
Mine burst out my chest and ran off. I had to hunt it down with my Karkinos and just held it hostage in its claws

@@jakob3713 awful progression, garbage terrain, extremely limiting mechanics, earthquakes, impossible start ups, the list goes on. Its by a colossal margin the worst map in the game
@@jakob3713 also extinction has better creatures, SE has a few better, both genesises have all better creatures
I love the top 10’s you do they are so detailed and very descriptive for those new beginners like how I use to be, I also love the background music and I must ask where you get this stuff at?

That's the first time I've ever seen the Basislisk swim animation. I also did not know it had no oxygen use. Learn something new everyday.
Using a featherlight to get a drake egg is a trick I've never heard before! Very clever! 🕊
Very nice to know as always. Soon I'll be taking some of my original Ark group through. We are soon going to kill Alpha Overseer and with Manticore done already will be going after Rockwell next. They haven't played in a bit so it's been interesting for them to see all the differences.

This never fails giving great tame selections. Also youtube knows, my searches of Aberration (having recently *Finally* decided to play it) have borne fruit!
Just what i needed ^-^
Important to note that aberrant variants do have slight differences other than aesthetics. They receive a 6% increase to damage, at the cost of 3% less health, when compared to their non-aberrant counterparts
4% less health, x/r make the -3%/+5% trade, ab is -4/+6
Abberation is by far one of my favorite maps

The Rock Drake is a game changer in that map imo, kinda like how the Argie was a game changer on Island or Ragnarok, but the difference is that you need to have a good base to hatch the RD egg unlike the Arg.
I remember when aberration was new to me. I remember wanting to tame a karkinos so I loaded shot it with so many tranqs and finally learned they have to be tamed with a catapult
Shinehorn is my light pet of choice for ultimate cuteness. But seriously this was no contest as if anything could best the Rock Drake 😏
Shinehorn was busted when abberation came out. You could use it like a transmitter and upload things out of the map.
It quite literally was the OG stryder.
Ravagers are my favorite by far. Cuts all materials weight in half and having a pack bonus makes them great. I've killed a many basilisk with my squad.
almost did not watch this because its easy to tell what no1 was always going to be, not a fan of the tame but have to appreciate the content and do the youtubes things and stuff. another solid top ten

The shinehorn is easily one of my favorite tames in ark aberration, they are useful and very cute
Aberration was the first dlc I bought and it was a tough break from the mostly peaceful island 😅 still loved it though 👍
I'm personally playing on abberation for my first full run and I'm only fixing to head into the blue zone after a number of hours of prep. My goal is to get a bunch of spinos and karkinos to power level for when I head to the rock drake den. That way I can just show up, grab an egg, and slaughter anything that comes near me. If I've got the stuff I might just hatch the drake there to flex on the magnitude of power that prep gives.
Aberration is my favorite map with Fjordur in second place for me, I would say with tames, the Ravagers are easily my favorite tames for Aberration along with Rock Drakes, even on Fjordur, Rock Drakes are my go to tame along with the Andrewsarchus
I just got aberration. That’s why I’m watching the first seen the Ravager I called a weird dog with rabies.😂
My favorite mount on aberration isn't even native to it....but with some mushroom brew against radiation, its ability to swing itself forward, up or simply float down....I prefer the bloodstalker in aberration myself. Whats not to like when you can literary hang in the roof above the rock drake trench as long as your mount is fed the mushroom brew and then grapple itself down onto the next egg of your choice to grab eggs before jumping back up and grappling the roof again in safety.

A spino is usually recommended if you wanna travel through the map while fighting many ugly creatures there.
Love your list!!! Megalosaurus' we're how I got my first drake egg. They don't take rad dmg, plus the carry ability is a wonderful bonus.

The reaper will impregnate you while your on a drake too. Never needed to use a trap unless you want to block a high level from disappearing

Me and my friend where taming spinos and two raptors came outta no where on the last feed and brought the taming effectiveness down 7 levels😕 ig it ain’t that bad
C'mon Ras, fact check info from the wiki. An 80% damage reduction is the same as a 400 armor saddle ONLY if you're talking about explosives and Alphas. When talking about creatures and bullets, 80% is the same as a 100% saddle. Meaning that it's not THAT hard get other creatures with better armor reduction.

I'm very curious. Are you doing this for non canonical maps as well? (The center all the way to fjordur) it would be interesting to see. But obviously extinction and both parts of genesis to do first so I won't rush it.

I'm guessing RockDrake will be number one. I haven't watched it yet btw. (I didn't say it, but I guessed that the top 3 and 2 would be the Megalosaur and Reaper)
I played lost island before aberration and didn't really like the maewing all that much. Then I went to fjordur and got some rock drakes and bred them up...and didn't really like them that much.
But I took my best girl to aberration and played thru and that drake and I saw some shit together and now I absolutely love them, and as a bonus can fly a maewing a lot better also.

Aberration, beautiful but yet the most difficult map
I swear if the Managarmer is on the Extinction list I’m our. That thing is good for movement, yes, but it is so buggy. That and the Bloodstalker are just the most painful creatures to drive, especially on console
You can get a wired keyboard and wired mouse, then plug it into the console and play using the keyboard and mouse, that's what I do. I play on PlayStation, but use a keyboard and mouse

Aberrant creatures don't just glow Raas they actually have different stats to their base game counterparts.
Aberrant Creatures have 4% less health, deal 6% more damage and glow in the dark.
Thats why they can't breed with vanilla, tek or X-R variant dinos
No Shinehorns? F. 1/10 list this time xD Shinehorns are my favorite creature. They're just the cutest. I can't even get myself to swap back to an otter when I need insulation. I'll find another way to get it. Shinehorn stays. xD
Karkinos... Taming this with 99-100% effectiveness is one of the biggest pains in the game to me. My goodness what a nightmare those crabs are to 100% tame.
I think crab is best just bc it’s so crucial for farming whereas most of the other ones aren’t, as well as I just being multi purpose

Super excited for extinction can't wait to see what's put at number one cause I will be genuinely surprised let's go managmar also just seen you say but not mention basilisk is very easy to tame if you put a foundation on top of a lightpet and just throw eggs on top of foundation makes it a breeze
Number 1 for extinction will probably be the mek, if not the snow owl or the gasbags.

Karkinos is a underrated take in my opinion it’s the safest way to go to surface and red zone early and to get the rock Drake

I'm still confused why they switched the spawns for Bulbdog and Shinehorn before launch. Not only would they fit better, but the Shinehorn is the generalist light pet, when the Bulbdog is specialised in capacity.
