@@anthonyfuentes6090 they're good multi terrain mounts with berry and meat weight reduction that helps babies grow and can destroy rocks and trees if you get stuck by jumping.

I also agree and I would have it in my top 3. However this is Raas’ list and nothing deserves to be on it unless he thinks it does, and noting his past experiences with them I wasn’t surprised to not see it on here.
I was hoping they'd be in the list too. They're my favorite creature in ark and I love everything about them from their taming method (though difficult and annoying its still a cool concept) to their visuals and sounds as well as abilities. I find them way more fun than a basic rex or giga since I don't like creatures that all you do is just bite and bite and bite and bite, but instead of a variety of abilities like the shadowmane
For some reason I’ve always loved the astrodelphis, and while it is quite difficult to get your hands on and ride (Saddle unlocks at 120) I think it’s just such a fun mount, basically turning a space dolphin into a fighter jet. It will always be my #1 favorite traveling mount.
I would have swapped Giga with the Theri - just love the power and gathering of those tickle chickens. Yuti might have got an honourable mention for its boosts and fear and melee
Can't believe the moschops didn't even get an honorable mention, how are you supposed to get prime meat early on? Unless you set up a kibble farm before taming anything these are a must, so underrated. They're also great for organic polymer
get a icthiyornis if you drop them off your shoulder while facing a dodo or sometime small they can pick them up and kill them and bring them to you and a dodo can give about 2 or higher prime
Argy and therizino definitely need to be on this list. I would take a therizino over a Rex any day. I could use it to gather resources to build an entire base in a hurry and then use it to defend said base as well. Argy is a flying smithy with awesome weight carrying ability
1. Rock Drake (high damage, high health, you can jump distances very quickly, dive (if you don't want to fight underwater he can still turn invisible), crawling on walls) 2. Argentavis (they have a -50% carry multipliers to Stone, Metal, Metalbars, Obsidian, Crystal, Wood, can carry up to 2 dinos at the same time) 3. Combi of Argentavis & Ankylo (If you play always alone, these are the best way to farm metal (you'll never have enough)) 4. Aberrant Spino or Rex for Boss Fights (I prefer aberrant Spino, immunity against radioactivity, movement speed, attack speed and the ability to dive) ∟Warning: you can enter the Tek-Cave only with a trick (for Spino-user) 5. Therizino (We all know why) 6. Combi of Doedicurus and Basilisk (Stone carry multiplier on Basilisk and a good protector) 7. Shadowmane or Thya 4 schnetzeling :D 8. Combi of Yutyrannus and Megatherium (goodbye, apex Broodmother) (9.) Featherlight 10. Magmasaur (goodbye lethal dmg of the dragonbreath)
I was originally going to say probably because they're big Dino's but i then remembered that Aberrant Spino's Exist so idk how they're are no Aberrant Rexes

You're entitled to your opinion of what you believe are the best tames. Best is a difficult word to narrow down into a list since a lot of stuff can be considered best. My list is for most useful. #10 Mana (pre nerf) #9 Quetz, mobile base beast #8 Maewing, all around solid mount #7 Snow Owl, travels well and heals #6 Yuty, courage roar #5 Rex, makes boss battles easy #4 Baryonyx, best cave mount before cryopods were added and the best underwater mount #3 Thyla, awesome travel mount and gathers well #2 Megatherium, great gatherer can fight and chitin beast #1 Theri, it gathers nearly everything and can fight
I really think the only missing point here is the Argentavis. Easy to Use, Easy to Find, Easy to Tame, and while not the fastest mount at all, it's great when teamed up with other resource-gathering Dinos (Anky, Doedy, Thorny Dragon, etc). While I don't think it necessarily deserves to be Top 5 or anything, I just feel like it's a disservice to not include it at all, with how universally useful it is on every map but Aberration and Gen 1.
@Eternal Flame I use the argy on every map, especially when I'm going somewhere long distance because of its Smith saddle and I can repair my Armour or long neck if they happen to brake while I'm away from home. The argy has a very wide variety of uses
@@lolomendoza1946 on any map apart from the island i cannot see anyone using this as their main mount, you can easily steal a wyvern egg with a pt and just skip the argy or just tame a griffin/snow owl/desmodus or literally anything better instead all of the mentioned are faster and better in combat anyways. Why would anyone ever repair armor or longneck on this thing anyways, if its low dura then just repair it before you leave
Theri definetly deserves a top 3 placement. Best hide/wood gatherer and can litterally 2 tap a giga into raging/killing players off their mount in PvP. My tribe leader once ignored 5 heavy turrets + 3 tek turrets to kill 2 players and an exo-mek before going down when we were getting fobbed on with just one Theri that wasn´t even that mutated. Just being able to add harvesting levels for better gathering is chefs kiss.
I always have one levelled to 2k weight and it gathers thousands of woods extremly fast also with veggies cakes they are in my opinion very comparable if not even a bit better in boss fights than rexes also theris are much easier to control than the rex. and the theri is much much better at gathering hide with the C attack it gathers a crazy amount of scrap metal from tek dinos and hide from creatures much more than what the rex gathers. they also fit in many caves with cryopods ... the theri doesn't get reduced damage from the dragon fire breath. they still lose 20 percent same as other creatures but its just because they heal 10 percent with veggies cakes. so if after 5 min for example the dragon use the fire breath 4 times. they will only lose 40 percent health instead of 80 percent (from the fire breath)
@@nikolajkvistpedersen5151 for me it takes a lot of levelling to get it from around 800 after tame to 2k weight but since I have fast breeding rates I can get the weight much higher than that when I stack mutations, I usually just stack health and damage and weight mutations on Theri , hp and dmg for theri boss fighters and another line of theri with weight or weight and DMG just for "Gatherer Theris" and they are amazing
I guess you didn't include some creatures from DLCs that don't appear as much since I personally think many DLC creatures are just awesome as tames for different purposes if not, just look at the Maewing
Oh nice list. Deinonychus is defo on my wishlist and so is Desmodus. I've been to about 5 maps now, but spent the most time on Gen2 so far. Since yesterday, I can finally say I have captured every single tamable creature and variant that is available on the Gen2 map, Ark Additions mod included, at max level (boosted rates, single player, so it's different from official I admit). Also learned something I wish I had realised sooner: that the cyan kibble can be used in place of other kibbles.
Thats wild man, im just now getting back to ark after months. My daily used to always be a managarmr but now it is a maewing. No matter what flyers i go through l, i always come back to the maewing. I always jump from map to map, in search of tames or resources and really nothing gets you around and leta your enjoy the scenic views in a fast but comfortable speed like a maewing. The weight is insane. The underwater swimming. The speed it has in gen 2 space. Everything about it is so amazing
Raas: These are my personal favorites and recommend tames, my own top ten in a sense. Everyone: Oh that’s cool, glad to hear your thoughts. You’re always asking the community what they think so it’s nice that you get to…wait…oh so you thought we wouldn’t find out? You think we’re just a bunch of idiots don’t you? Raas: What? Everyone: THIS LIST DOESNT HAVE THE DODO IN THE TOP 3!
Baryonix in my opinion has to be top 3. It's easy to tame, good on land, good on water, good in cave, jumping, decent weight carrying, easy to find, small body structure and overall powerful.
The Baryonyx is my absolute favorite dinosaur, I have drawing of one hanging above my bed. I was supposed to meet the guy who drew during my Make A Wish trip in Utah but his wife had a baby that day so he sent it to me in the mail
i'm missing the spino which i really prefer to the rex. i mean the rex has more hp, but the spino has much faster attack speed, hitbox on its attack and knockback as well, making it a MUCH better fighter than the rex - apart from boss fights where these knockbacks don't really matter of course
My only issue with wyverns is getting them too early kind of breaks the game. High levels are extremly powerful and you will face almost no challenge except for other players if on PvP and bosses
The maewing deserved to be number 1 on the list! I'm just sad that my boy spino was not in the top 10 list. It had Quadrupeadle mode and bipedal mode! It also had a temporary buff when touching water
My Top 5 are (only the island) 1.Allosaurus(light, very storng fast, but stamina is bad) 2.Baryonyx(very decent on land and strong and very fast in water and land and also has a stun attack in water) 3.Argentavis(fast,strong and very good burd can pick up more creatures and stamina is amazing) 4.Thayceoleo(a very very good creature for caving saddle lvl 51 and very strong and fast) 5.Raptor(very decent early game and very fast and strong if got on lvl 130+)
I would say maybe specific, desmo would be first Strongest tame supporter without traps (easy lay on walls or shoot from him with the best movement in the air while being a small creature easy shoots) has decent dmg while getting healed makes him quite unkillable can fly in caves is a big factor depending on the map you are in but anyway is the best artifact farmer in most caves. Decent flying speed and as mentioned his air movement is insane, the pot from him is just broken relative easy tame but takes a bit of time to get the blood required but if you got one getting a better one is super easy. And stealth sonar and stealth on walls life leech while transport animals makes his overall use quite broken tbh.
I feel like you put the baryonyx in due to nostalgia. The shadow mane as you already know does everything better. Bary still one of my favorites tho. Great on gen1
You can have your rexes and gigas. I'm out here doing resource runs on a mate boosted pair of deer. Riding the weight and speed leveled female to zip around and outpace while the health&melee male bashes heads in as needed. Also the Equus. Who needs tranqs when you can get a good health and stam horse kicking things in the face? Wanna be cheeky, put some levels into speed too, so you can chase things down or escape a sticky situation. Can shoot from both options, too.
Maewing is the 2nd best traveling creature in the game, Astrodelphis holds #1. But Maewing definitely beginner friendly and very cheap. If I had to pick 1 for traveling it definitely would be the Maewing. It has so many benefits of owning a Maewing than a Astrodelphis. I 100% agree Maewing belongs on the top of the list.
I think dire wolves are actually very useful PVP or not, their sniff ability is good for farming meat, if you use them right they're good for farming stealthily, pick a nice spot ride your dire Wolf around to bring back meat, and you're set for a while, and they are even better assisted by a maewing, if you breed a few you can even use them for more offensive capabilities like after a while of selective breeding and leveling you'll be able to bring them to raids and win 75% of the time or more.
Man, Ark really mixed up the Meta with these new creatures added post Extinction. Great list, shame no water mounts though - says it all about Wildcards apathy regarding aquatic content really don't it lol
hay rass should do a test on the hawk now thay nurfed it can u use a hawk and change hawks once u respawn for the timer or does it affect all.? i still love the hawk over the sino but there both got great uses. love your vids keep em up. ♥
Personally I can't see any top 10 list (with 3 honourable mentions) that doesn't include the spino. Sure it can be a pain to tame, but once you do it offers you as much safety as a rex (outside of boss fights) with more regen, DPS and speed, especially when in/near water. Definitely my go-to ground mount for general exploration since the TLC.
I’m a lil bit salty that the Managarmr isn’t on the list I’m a little bit biased as it’s my favorite tame, and after mutating them to unimaginable strength wyverns and even gigas barely give me any trouble plus their breathe attack is insanely useful as a support in boss fights, my tribe mate was the main attacker while I was freezing and killing any minions that got in our way
Shadowmane should have been on this list they are very good for getting around they can do the damage of a giga if you mutate them right and they have a whole long list of op abilities it would take me too long to name. Also megatherium should have been of honorable mentions instead of theri
I play with my friends on valguero and we have 7 ice wyverns and 2 fire wyverns and theyre amazing. We also have about 5 deinonychus and they die pretty quick compared to the damage they do. Great before getting things like the wyvern and carcha
Personally, I don't agree with the fact that stego nor fjordhawk aren't in the top 10 but its your opinion and your list so gotta respect that and also besides that I agree with everything
I decided to replay Ark. After a three day install on Xbox I load into a solo virgin island on the south side and literally the first thing I see is a unicorn chilling on the beach. As I try and level without it spooking off into the jungle it walks into my half built house and I don't have the stuff to trap it in before it wanders out again. I find a rock carrot seed and grind out levels to get a crop plot and in the meantime a 160 tek parasaur wanders by and a 135 pteradon lands in my front yard and won't leave. Currently it's day 6, the unicorn got stuck on a tree and I've built a corral around him so nothing eats him while I wait for my carrots to grow. I forgot how much fun this game is.
My top 10 (I only play on the island) 10. Brontosaurus 9. Trike 8. T rex 7. Yutytrannis 6. Raptor 5. Therizinosaur 4. Quetzal 3. Thylacoleo 2. Argentavis 1. Baryonyx
Make sure to tame a shadow mane and breed them you can sell them and have a incredible mount in my opinion I like to the female making creatures around it invisible but the male does a pack leader boost increasing damage temporarily
Can someone please explain: I have never once used kibble to tame a creature. Is it THAT much better? I mean, it’s okay that the animal takes all night to tame because we have someone on at all times. Is this the reason people REALLY want kibble?
I think the Argentavis really deserved a spot on the list

The maewing deserved to be number 1 on the list! I'm just sad that my boy spino was not in the top 10 list. It had Quadrupeadle mode and bipedal mode! It also had a temporary buff when touching water
the thing about rexes spawning on all maps at 7:10 is incorrect, rexes are not found on all maps, they do not spawn anywhere on abb
Great list! I agree with most of these too!
Raas, quick question.. Can you get fungal wood on the island map?
Cheers for the content, love your work 💙❤
Sadly not mate
@@Raasclark ah ok, cheers
@@MrLinkinJason cheat gfi FungalWood 1 1 0 if you wanna spawn it in
@@buddivinder9097 yeah I know, but thank you
If you play on pc and can mod it, the S+ grinder let's you grind fungal wood from rare mushrooms and wood
My Top 5 are (only the island)
1.Allosaurus(light, very storng fast, but stamina is bad)
2.Baryonyx(very decent on land and strong and very fast in water and land and also has a stun attack in water)
3.Argentavis(fast,strong and very good burd can pick up more creatures and stamina is amazing)
4.Thayceoleo(a very very good creature for caving saddle lvl 51 and very strong and fast)
5.Raptor(very decent early game and very fast and strong if got on lvl 130+)
Maewing saddle is not lvl 43 but 19 so they are even better
Looks like the Crystal Isles are in my future, thanks.
I would say maybe specific, desmo would be first
Strongest tame supporter without traps (easy lay on walls or shoot from him with the best movement in the air while being a small creature easy shoots) has decent dmg while getting healed makes him quite unkillable can fly in caves is a big factor depending on the map you are in but anyway is the best artifact farmer in most caves.
Wyvern recommended... nice... especially during fear evolved when you can permanently keep the zombie wyverns lol
7:09 correct me if I am wrong but they aren't on abb are they?
Correct mate
Shadowmane definitely deserves to be on this list. Maewing and Shadowmane are my top 2.
Dire wolves help me find nasty purlovia
@@yutiarkyuopt5961 man that jerk knocked me off my Rockdrake in the snow while I was looking for a good level yutyrannus.
@@LuciferMufin lol I use my crystal wyvern to go to the snow and any pulovia spot
My top ten is similar. Stego, sarco, Argent, desmodus, thyla, theri, maewing, sino, snow owl, reaper king.
wait why is the stego so good again
@@mistypikku bc one of his options is defense type so it takes less dmg
@@mistypikku Also from my experience the stego can kill just about anything if not everything.
@@yutiarkyuopt5961isn't the therizino just better in most ways though
@@mistypikku can it do bleed while holding small creatures in place?
I like how you showed the crystal isles map instead of lost island for the sinomacrops 😂
Should I use a spino as my travel mount on ab after I set up my main base
I think a later ranking you can do is on the creatures that had been done dirty in ARK
Anyway, great top as always!!!
I had added the Rockdrake, theyre are my Favoriten creature
Just one thing tho.... If your a pvp player then this list will be adjusted good amount but pve yes it will work for you
Personally, I don't agree with the fact that stego nor fjordhawk aren't in the top 10 but its your opinion and your list so gotta respect that and also besides that I agree with everything
My top 10 (I only play on the island)
10. Brontosaurus
9. Trike
8. T rex
7. Yutytrannis
6. Raptor
5. Therizinosaur
4. Quetzal
3. Thylacoleo
2. Argentavis
1. Baryonyx
iwas waiting for this video
I have like 3 clones of the same pteranodon because my game kept crashing when I tried to put it in the obelisk thing
Surprised not seeing the Basilosaurus in that list
7:09 LIES, THERES NO REXES IN ABERRATION
Would have love to see yuti on list, great for boss fights as well as makes best kibble, but otherwise great list
Basilosaurus had to be in the list, when you tame a lv150 you literally have no worries when exploring the sea
I think can get through most of ARK with just desmodus, theri, sinomacrops, and basilo. Aberration will need something more specific for it.
Also agree with the maewing! Best early to late game tame! Also, don't you learn it's saddle at level 19?
Make sure to tame a shadow mane and breed them you can sell them and have a incredible mount in my opinion I like to the female making creatures around it invisible but the male does a pack leader boost increasing damage temporarily
when i first played i went through a thylacoleo and got mauled. didnt go back to the red woods for a while
Shag rug is meta, best way to spice up a base
How about your top ten worst to tame😁
Can someone please explain: I have never once used kibble to tame a creature. Is it THAT much better? I mean, it’s okay that the animal takes all night to tame because we have someone on at all times. Is this the reason people REALLY want kibble?
What is the song used in the video? Shazam isnt really helping me out here..
Fun fact the you can dismount the Griffen in the air and it will regain stam to keep flying 😉
