Stinson 1 quad drone unplanned rapid crash landing

Somehow, it seems voltage dropped rather quickly as I was bringing Stinson 1 closer to my location after a long flight.
luckily, I noticed a softer flight response and heard the voltage read out to bring it away from the trees into the landing area quickly with what power was left.
Attempted to max throttle just before landing for a little cushion, but there was nothing left.
