I almost liked Kennedy until he said that. Never voting for someone who believes late term abortion is OK.
He literally said it’s NOT ok but that it’s not for the government to legislate when a woman may end her pregnancy.
We’ve seen what happens in states that banned abortion. Even women who miscarried or had a non viable pregnancy were forced to continue to carry it. And women who miscarried were accused of murder and had to prove they didn’t miscarry on purpose. That’s exactly the problem with putting pregnancy under the jurisdiction of the state.

That's how it is done. If the baby dies it cannot be born vaginally. Otherwise it's adoption.

You need to listen to his full comments. "Every abortion is a tragedy." He said we should do everything to help a woman bring a baby...and full-term abortions are very rare with "extenuating circumstances".
Wouldn't matter what he believes about abortion; a President will not be able to overturn the Supreme Court's pushing it back to the states.
The Dobbs decision places the abortion issue with the states, does it not? We can now let the the state legislatures and their governors deal with it. Abortion is now about as relevant to the presidential campaign as is the number of chickens I'm allowed to house in my back yard.
That's 98% true, but it isn't going stop people from using it as a reason to cast their presidential vote. It's easier for them than to rethink their political views.

The Democrats are trying to take it back away from the states and make it a federal law to give women the right to an abortion up to birth all across the country. They are not satisfied that late term abortions are only allowed in some states and not others.
I really like RFK and would vote for him. But he’s continuously not trained for media and doesn’t give clear answers. That can be corrected.

I didn’t believe him when he fought to get his convicted cousin out of jail for the murder of a 15 year old girl who was in his cousin’s circle of friends. All the evidence showed he murdered her back in the mid 1970s. Now he is free thanks to that asshole Kennedy. The rich get away with almost everything. No more Kennedys. Thank God his horrible disgusting uncle Ted is finally in hell for murdering the young woman who was helping his run his campaign for president at the time, by letting her drown when he drove his car off the bridge. He got away with it too.

I’m familiar with the problem RFK Jr. - actually it’s cysticerosis which is more common especially in So. America - was dealing with. It was misdiagnosed initially. His doctors thought it was possibly a tumor . It seldom has any longterm effects , but as this is politically oriented maybe “ affects “ would be a better term. It does NOT eat part of one’s brain, if indeed that’s where the infection was. neurocysticicercosis is not a rarity on a global scale , even in the USA approximately 4000 people a year are diagnosed with the condition,and many are asymptomatic. Full disclosure, I support RFK II. With that said. The way Bobby reported his medical history could not have been worse . Why in hell he would claim “ A worm ate part of my brain “ That just opened up a “ Can of worms “ to be misconstrued by 99% of the voting public . On topic. I too don’t understand how Nicole, and Bobby could not have been in sync in respect to abortion guidelines. He should have given a much more nuanced answer to Sage’s question. It would be easy enough to explain conditions wherein late term abortions would be appropriate eg. Death of mother or child, severe birth defects that would endanger the child’s life , incest,rape. Megyn your panel are hacks taking cheap shots at someone they obviously don’t support ,and know nothing about medical conditions. I agree with Megyn about what appeared to be a lack of communication between Bobby, and Nicole. Sage Steel is great ! She was not one of these “ I gotcha “ faux journalists. I work in birth and found her question perplexing. I know exactly where he stands.There is technically no late term abortion, that was Sage's lack of information.

Abortion is nowhere near the top of the priority list for most Americans. This issue is brought up every few years to keep us divided. At the end of the day do we want the government telling us what to do with our bodies? Do you all support vaccine mandates too? Both parties are disingenuous when they cry about bodily autonomy. They really only care about it, when it aligns with their parties agenda.
To admit being wrong for a politician is respectful. Not too common if ever!

Unfortunately, neurocysticercosis can be acquired by eating undercooked pork. Eating on the street and not deworming every 6 months can also be a risk factor. So it may be more common than we think.

The problem with banning 8 month abortions is sometimes the fetus is dead, and a danger to the mother and while technically an abortion no 'baby' dies from saving the mother's life. Viability must be a factor in this decision, a decision the parents make not the government or some busy body.
No deceased baby has ever posed a risk to the mother.

He did meant that. And since then, he has been shown statistics of purely elective late term abortions. RFK posted his adjusted views on X given this new information to him, very eloquently and thoughtfully, but this panel chose to ignore it so they could talk nonsense geared to the lowest common denominator viewer.
RFK has the most thoughtful position on abortion. Trump was Pro Choice until 2015 & to win the evangelical right has made a sudden turn. I prefer a candidate with an open heart to the issue than someone who politicizes it for votes.

We've got a real problem in this culture where we are not raised with a serious understanding of the implications of what the sex act is. It is intended for procreation. If it were not for contraception that would be its only purpose. But unfortunately, we've changed it to be this amazing thing we're supposed use it to bond with a person we love. There's the animalistic instinct to reproduce, and it's a painful thing, because giving into that instinct when you are not prepared to accept the consequences is dire. It means either caring for a new person or killing him or her. The simplest solution is not to have sex unless you are willing to accept the consequences of conceiving a child as a result.

The reason why rfk supported late term abortion is because he thought no one was getting them. When people showed him studies that he was wrong he changed his opinion. There are cases where something goes wrong late term and the baby cant survive if born. RFK thinking this is the only reason women have late term abortion is super ignorant and naive.
RFK has posted on X that he was wrong. He said he listened to people who came up to him after his bodily autonomy comment and was apparently shown data about elective late term abortions of viable babies.
It’s not the only reason but it’s a thing to consider when writing law. That’s why it’s best to err on the side of liberty than tyranny. He doesn’t trust the government with this decision.

With no deference to the subject at hand, it’s nice to see a potential VP make clarifications to her Presidential running mate. To me this should have been a closed door discussion, but it also shows a willingness to express her opinions, and ideas which could possibly sway minds, and be obtainable. She spoke up, gave her understanding, even if it was not exactly mutually shared, and you knew it would be immediately addressed. No giving cover, no back peddling no shiny object to distract, Nobody knows everything, sometimes not even partially correct on anything. A VP to me is that sounding board that doesn’t agree with everything but responds or debates in a coherent fact driven rebound of ideas and opinion. Needs more political savvy ? That is not RFK's position on abortion. I am sure about that. Look at him. The man is absolutely exhausted. It's his fault for saying it, of course. But the man is solid as a rock. He just misspoke because of exhaustion. He doesn't like the idea of abortions but he supports a woman's right to decide. He got himself confused and he misspoke. There was a time when a reporter would table that question when something like this happens and not put it over the airwaves. But nowadays that's not the case. I promise you, anyone who is willing to dig for it could find many examples of the most respected, moral and loved people the world has ever known committing gaffes like this. You can turn it into a very damaging thing by showing it to people or in a case like this where that reporter knows better, she could simply speak to him after the show or something to clarify. She opted to damage him with it. She should do a video/phone hookup with him to clear this up.
