      Yup. He could've said, "Ok then, how do I get it (reparations) through Congress?" That's what HE'S thinking about. He wants to make reparations both successful AND feasible. The black guys want slavery/racism front and center re: reparations and who cares what anybody thinks about it? But the President HAS to think about it or guess what? It becomes yet another empty promise. He's thought about HOW to do it, so that everybody (all the votes he will need) consider it fair and beneficial. It's the difference between an ordinary citizen and a leader. But he didn't say any of this! He just listened. That's another essential feature of a leader.

      He speak great, but can he act on what he is saying. My only issue is that he stated he would give it Reparations in a from of loans as well as other ways. The loan idea is not it, you giving a loan that has to be paid back to people family that were forced to work for 400yrs. Giving a loan is putting them into financial slavery. So it should be grants, scholarships or free admission into any university they want to attend, massive amounts of land, business grants, free health and dental care, and etc. In today market in some area 1 acre of land is worth 1.5 million dollars. If black family kept the land and had 40 acres that is close to a value of 60million dollars. If they used it for farming, building communities, distribution centers, entertainment center such as sports arenas, and etc black families would have been one of the wealthiest groups in America.
      Reparations after slavery has been given to the following people by america (Jewish communities for the holocaust, Japanese and Chinese communities due to WW1 and 2, Native American communities due to them stealing land and country from them, now they are giving many illegal immigrants a new form of reparations when they arrive in america) all of these communities are now thriving financially while black are are declining financially.

We have many barriers to overcome and we have the strength and determination to build ourselves out of this mess. From work to the cafeteria. - the gym. - To my neighbor after work. We have a neighborhood garden everyone pitches in and it’s 1/3 each race I speak with while tending to the garden. But I live in a desegregated Red city/state. I will say I lived in a blue city and the statement you made reminded me of the segregation I saw. The problem is when that’s all you know you have no idea the world that exist out side of that. -- the most important thing to realize is in the real world white, black, Hispanic, Etc are United everyday in most areas. The sad part is a small portion of the population are segregated and they are the most vocal. They have no idea the world that exist outside of there environment. -- I don’t blame them, I blame the manipulative politicians that intentional keep them divided for voter suppression purposes. If they were desegregated then they would know all humans just want love and acceptance. They would know racism is taught and not natural. Then the politicians wouldn’t be able to scream racism for votes. -- 1912 election of Woodrow Wilson (D) that campaign literally used the same techniques we saw them use in 2020. 1865-1908 99% of black people voted Republican being the Republican Party was created to end slavery and polygamy. The Dems then couldn’t win elections so they created Jim Crow and racism as we know it today. Unfortunately blm and antifa were activated to destabilize and destroy black communities all while they scream “it’s the republicans” to do a reverse psychology voter suppression. But the most important thing to understand is the democrats did this 1904-1912 in order to win the 1912 election. So it’s been done multiple times.

    Glad to see Bigga back in the building, glad he's feeling better.
    Now, to Mecca's point... The whole idea of pursuing a form of reparations that everybody could get behind and which won't lead to polarization is this: If you can't get everyone on board with the effort from the jump, then you'll never have the votes to get the proposals and bills through congress and approved. If it's too much of a lightning rod from the beginning, it'll never get off the ground. The argument goes if you make the plan for reparations "politically acceptable" from the beginning, it'll be more likely to succeed and make it through congress and written into law. And according to RFK Jr's position, a reparations bill which focuses on funding and supporting black-owned businesses will be easier to push through an already polarized congress.. Because, let's face it, Republicans will never allow trillions of dollars in cash payments to be disbursed to black families. but if you present that support in the form of loan programs and business grants and tax incentives for business investment, etc etc, then it'll be far more likely to gain that critical GOP support in congress.

However, the dem's will PROMISE you that, as a means of securing your vote. Both parties pander to gain support. Neither party is for the people. This is simply an idea they use to manipulate the people, because if they keep us fighting amongst ourselves, then we can't focus on the real bullshit they are doing, which is usurping all the power they can, all the while stripping the rights of we the people. His main point was that, as long as there is a pushback against reparations, the conversation will never move towards any real action. Actual change happens when ordinary people on all sides come together and force the government against its own interest. The State/ elites know this, so it keeps the working class divided and against each other on these issues.

  • @neslyleonvil606
    @neslyleonvil606 Год назад +4

    One of the key issues with cash reparations lies in the fact that the funds tend to disperse outside of the community, which is a straightforward observation. Despite possessing trillions of dollars in spending power, we regrettably allocate these resources elsewhere instead of keeping them within our own community. The conversation should be how do we better educate each other as a whole and not give us money because of slavery and etc. We have to get out the dead end mindset if we want ,we want and instead ,we have and this is what we need to do as a collective to keep the money inside while still being able to help others.
