- The diplodocus.... One of the most underused tames in all of ark! This thing is an absolute monster! It has such a high health base that it is not even funny!!!! We are talking 100,000 plus early on in the game!!! They are awesome for soaking and for raiding!!!
This video is part of my soaker a day series which is going to be testing the different under powered and over powered soakers of ark! This is meant to educate people on some the things they could be using to soak but are not, or how to properly use the tames they might have. At the end of this mini series I will rate the soakers in one final video, showing which ones are the most powerful!!!!!

Morellotops have a little bit of damage reduction I believe around their hump. Also the the lymantria can do a little bit of sky turret soaking.
I'm a huge fan and I wanted to know if you would raid a tek base for me and I'll PayPal u 50 if u could wipe these guys I'm in small tribes

Not a bad video but if you’re gonna do a series like this you need more info. Different level saddles, how much ammo it drains from just a tek wall or just a heavy wall or both and you used aberrant dinos which have less health I think so using normal dinos would make more sense IMO. Also whether you can get shot off the Dino due to turrets being placed high up etc etc
Yeah, bring a lvl 2323 Diplo and that'll solve all your soaking problems

Hey Teach, have been watching you for a bit now I'm loving the content and information after playing Ark for a couple years now I'm learning even more so thank you. With these videos it might be a bit of work but if you could try to do a comparison with mate boost imprint and maybe a base 100 armor saddle and see how reduces you can get the damage would be good info to know. Thanks

I don't think that they're the best but are for sure a good suicide dino for turrets
they clog turret line of sight and disrupt the velos with knock back
Can you test a Doedicurus?
I think if you do an imprinted one with like an ascendant 60 armor saddle you can pretty much soak that wall for about 5 times longer.
Yo, I just got the craziest idea. What if you have the Diplodocus and rider+ like 10 passengers, all with fairly good shields to help in blocking turret fire?
The theoretical max health for diplos is 88060.1 pre imprint and levels and 522231.4 after levels, this would have 254 wild-lvls and 73 domestic lvls making it a stat capped health diplo. this also makes it the highest health tame out of all the breedable land based dinos in ark ( to my knowledge) they are one of the most underrated soakers currently
you can easily find quality saddle bps for them, they get a 37.5% tek turret dmg reduction, and soaking player only turrets is easy with the side mounted passenger seats, just place your team mates on the side and yeet in with the other side facing the turrets
I believe Aberrant dinos actually have less health but higher damage than their non-aberrant versions.
Id personally make taller towers, I think it makes a difference with tames you cant put a platform saddle on and protect the rider with..this is just my personal opinion.

I believe teks do less damage to all dinos apart from armoured foes.
Elementals, magmasaurs, dunkles etc, all get shredded by teks, yet can soak comfortably with heavies.

you should change turret targeting to player only most people dont leave their turrets on tames
and players

I'd most likely Say Overall The Paracer is the Best Soaker and for Heavies the Gasbag would take Number 1 and for Tek Turrets the Trike this is Opinion though
Its a series where I will have a bunch of dinos
there is no one soaker, its all situational. We were raiding a pack cave tossed out a diplo. Diplo knocked the mesh bite giga out from behind the wall and we railed it with velos. No other dino couldve soaked the wall and done that.
For the spam that blocks the path too the turrets we used turtles 110k hp turtles(1 day raise) with c4 on their tails . either they let us soak or we blow up more and more stuff for free.
stego- for the wall we road stegos with rocket launchers and were able to shoot off the back on top of the turrets.
And a prim saddle
My question is, how would you level up a diplo? I thought all they do is push things.

Well if u breed them i think about 80k is still max 😂 but im not 100% sure

You can't kill dinos to level them up, so it's nearly impossible to level them

You can tank 10x more with just a simple trike bro diplos are the worst soakers in the current meta

i think brontos on official don't even have 100k yet will take ages since the bronto nerf way back plz rebuff them
This is inaccurate. The average diplodocus perfect tame with 73 domestic levels has 60k hp. If you breed them extensively and imprint 100k is possible. Anything above 110k is nigh impossible.
And yeah, a bronto can hit 65-70k hp which you might say diplo is 1.5x as much. However you cannot get sniped off a bronto. Furthermore, for tames you can be sniped off, such as trikes, you can breed 22k hp with 85% damage reduction to face, which is equivalent to 146k raw hp. Quite better than a 100k diplo.
Diplo might have use as a bad soaker, particularly as an inferior trike that is fast but easier to get shot off. But the 150 dying in 0.2 seconds is very real. Spawning in a lvl 2200 and saying 1 million health is great is pure misinformation. A 2200 trike or bronto would be far better.

For a wild tame with no imprint and a prim saddle it’s pretty decent. Most of the tanks used at the moment have loads of mutations and insane saddles

You are a very unrealistic teacher when are you ever going to raid someone with a Dino with 1mil hp
