- If you are wondering how good the stegosaurus is as a soaker then make sure to check out this video! This will show you why the stego is one of those tames that you have to have as a raiding tool! They are really useful in many different situations!!!!
This video is part of my soaker a day series which is going to be testing the different under powered and over powered soakers of ark! This is meant to educate people on some the things they could be using to soak but are not, or how to properly use the tames they might have. At the end of this mini series I will rate the soakers in one final video, showing which ones are the most powerful!!!!!

Just wondering if your going to revamp the stego vid for this particular series......
Unofficial player here. I will say without s+ turrets the stego does kinda loss its purpose, but in unofficial it is still absolutely mandatory next to the rock golem. For 2 reasons. S+ turrets built high enough set to player only will shoot the player on a trike and carb. Also the turtle throwing is an amazing strat but turrets can be swapped to players and mounted tames to counter it. Then the second big reason for a stego is fab sniping. Alot of online raids have gun play with the fab snipe which makes the trike and carb no good there. Golem is another option, but if there is tek turrets the golem will get trashed where the stego will take close to the same damage from heavies and teks. The trick for the stego to remain relevant is a decent saddle, imprinting, mutations, veggie cakes, and mate boost and if possible yuty roar for that extra damage reduction.

Also do you know if you get a paracer platform saddle and if you covers it’s body completely does it take damage I’ve never tried it with turrets and I haven’t been able to test it for multiple reasons

@@GreenMolon i don't think he made them look bad tbh i think all the soakers are worth it just depends on the situations. I've tribed with Teach and we breed all these soakers and have used them all. ^^ but every one has their favourites. ^^
Stegos are one of the worst soakers after they got nerfed. The only reason people still use them is as you said cause you can rocket off the back. That also very situational cause a well built tower you won't be able to run up on.
Stegos are the best imo for getting people out of cave fobs. Then you don't have to worry about turrets being up high and a rocket will basically destroy anything cause of cave damage.

I just tried playing PvP. Did the steht got changed recently?! Because when I try soaking, I always get shot and die…
I did my first raid and it took 4 turrets a few shots and it killed my 250 level stego lol I was on a magmasaur 114 and that got almost killed fast lol
So how do I protect my base? Have defenses only kill players?
