The thing you missed about the bronto is that its dead body blocks turrets. So you go up, die and then you can walk through it to the turrets only getting hit on the other side. You can block an entire wall.

@@VitoVaram It is though? Soaking doesn't necessarily imply it has to be alive. It just has to soak up bullets.
@@Beanpolri believe soaking is drying the turrets of their bullets so in that regard bronto=useless... They nerfed him so badly to oblivion like what were they thinking
When I first started I didn't realize how good the stego was or how pvp it was. I made alot people uneasy cause I was always going out taming stegos cause I like the dino lol
Stego got updated wasnt always this good
Before the TLC that touched up stegos they were only marginally useful

A few weeks ago I'd just started on an official server and only had a steggo and 2 argies, logged on to find my base destroyed and all dinos missing. Found my argies first started searching for steggo, eventually found him being slowly killed by someone on a 260 wyvern, flew over and the moment I got there my steggo just grabbed it and drained it's energy, ended up killing the wyvern and surviving the attack from the much stronger player all because of my steggo
You made no one uneasy.
Diplos are good if used correctly, 2 diplo and 4 turtles whistled at a wall will give you plenty of time to run in with a stego and take out turrets, using diplos in this manner can protect the steggo rider from player only tek turrets giving them the opportunity to take them out in no time
something you dont measure tho, not all bases are built on flat land. trikes with skiffs an gasbags are notorious raid powerhouses. trikes fit into tinier crevices, important if you intend to raid cave bases (the current pvp building meta) or ratholes. a gasbags in the lunar biome on genesis becomes incredibly potent too, but they have the ability to get places most tames cant without a skiff and this is an INVALUABLE thing when raiding high up bases.

Megatherium w/ bug buff is pretty great - early game soaker especially since you can get high armor premade saddles super easy

You forgot the water soakers the Basilosaurus, Tuso, and Megachalon. Rock elementals also can be used underwater so that gives them added utility.

Hmmm nice list but missing there Forest titan (titans in general), what about Megachelon or Paracer (both have ability to build on them) or quetzal. Feeling like this can be decen soakers or utility dinos by siege. What do you think?
racers are s tier as well for sure, gachas probably could be added to C tier as well because they can be good for online raids in specific situations against people with flyers mainly
what do gachas have against flyers?
Trike and Pachyrhinosaurus ( you forget this one) are easy to tame and fast and easy to breed. If you bring them in pair, mate boosted, imprinted, and you bring also a yuty to roar at them all the time, they take a very low dmg from front . so dont forget, imprint, mate boosted and buffed by yuty.

Personally I'd say the achatina is ATLEAST B teir, since they became breedable they've been a saving grace against rat holes, a few you've missed tho, megachelon, paracer, pachyrhino, stryder, astrocetus, and magmasaur (probably a few I've missed too ngl 😂 I've just listed dinos I've soaked with)
I mean I soaked a base with a snow owl one time 😂 but cant believe he forgot paracers
Actually Reaper's tank ability is not that good compared to other well-breed and high-saddled dino, because Reaper's natural damage resistant is just equal to 100 armour saddle when facing against turrets (both regular and tek). I would put Reaper on B or C tier.
i would prob but up carbo 1 and rock golem, and reaper and titan 1down, dont get me wrong titan can soak, but who actually tames it

Idk why, but when the doedicurus he is in his shell, the damage turrets deal against him will increase. So doedi is one of the worst soaker ever.

Something I've looked for but never did find is, turn on damage numbers then show the exact difference between imprinted to you, imprinted to someone else and non imprinted. Also the difference between a max and prim saddle.... I've seen a few videos of this but none had damage numbers on
I just raided a base today with some number i had a 150 trike saddle imprinted tek did 4 and heavy 5 dmg with yuti buff it because 3 tek and 4 heavy without inprint it because 12 and 13 with yuti buf and 14 and 16 without buff

It's 35% less for 100% imprint
If you get lucky with reaper king, it can have 150 max hp with official settings (except imprint - 2x when I tested that) and full imprint

This has nothing to do with tier list but I was wondering if you could test out an idea I got for fighting pvp flyers. Tame a Gigantopithecus and a micro raptor and you can ride the Gigantopithecus and use it to pick up the micro raptor and throw it way up in the air and make it knock off/stun the rider and finish them on foot?

Carbonemys can be riden with a saddle that increases the dmg reduction along with you being able to ride them
I have on average a dozen wild stegos around my base at all times and have tamed 20 max levels and 13 over max tek stegos. Ever since I saw them unintentionally protect my base from arthros and rexes, I keep their population high and am working on breeding super stegos. Thanks for the video, I can use it to convince my basemate I'm being smart instead of suffering from a stego addiction.

At least on gen2 with the wild reaper kings, they can enrage an unimprinted giga with just about 10 hits or so.
Damage output dino tier list? (There would probably need to be multiple parts because there's different ways to categorize damage output)

tek rex could honestly be A or S tier because of how good it is against tek walls with a tek saddle with racers or stego riders ahead of it just to clear tek turrets, doorframes, and even break into the gen boxes and break those too

I was playing a very boosted server on rag doing a raid with my friends and we didn't have many soakers left so I sent in a Diplo without a saddle and there were so many bullets flying at that thing the sever crashed and when we got back on there were no bullets in any turret
Hey now!! I once used all my dead brontos as cover while raiding Carno island, they have turret towers all over the island but we were able to maneuver through the field of dead brontos and secure the win, so they’re definitely not useless😂
5 mouths later and think's to the Desmodus craft sanguine elixir adding 30% imprinting to creature's that can't be breed yet like the basilisk making them just that much better
My Tek rexes have 120k health, I like soaking while ripping enemy tames apart, also dang op for bosses
Wow, I'm relatively new to Ark, but I would've expected the Bronto to be slightly better than useless, lol I've been playing Ark for a couple years, but there's still so much to learn, and I personally haven't ever tamed a Bronto, just because I haven't really needed to and Sauropods take up so much space. I know they're definitely not a good utility dino, but what makes them a worse damage sponge than, say, a Paraceratherium? Is it the hit box size, lack of mobility, no reduced damage, or-?? I'm assuming it's a combination of reasons, but I do want to know
theres a lot of ways paracer can be built into a box to soak or basically take no damage at all, but yes , breeding requires a lot of space so kinda pain
you forgot the giant bee. load it up with stone and whistle attack. the drones will infinitely soak

Paracers are s tier plus if you build on the platform saddle right you can use it to blow up walls.
Now it would be funny to see someone rush a base with a bright yellow diplo and have it named the magic school bus
Any tips on raiding ice cave on island? These guys are major griefers and most of the server is together against em, but we keep dying. Too small for stegos to walk in, maybe we just cryo in stegos, but even then they die pretty quick. Should I just keep popping stegos to run them out of ammo?
you forgot the gods of water raiding, basil, and megachelon, automatic s tier, the megachelon allowing you to place 6 stegos on its back and another 10 or so below and just infinitely tank turrets from all directions, and the basil for getiting into those under water pesky ratholes
U should do racers they are the best on official PvP and definitely deserve s tier
@teachers Game Too, your Diplo is broken. Please check your imprint settings bevor you make a video and state them in the Description or set them to vanilla because a Diplo can get max too 123K with the same stats as yours shown.
for pvp i would use reapers, high damage resistance, jump over walls, high damage and health pool with an aoe attack

Stegos op that’s all you really need to know
Parcers should be A Tier. Rock ele is great soaker should be in A instead of B. Switch reaper to B there not great for tanking do to being very easy to counter. There more of an all around Dino for pvp.
Rock should be c it's only usefull for day 1 of the wipe
Best part about the reaper tho is rarely will you get shot off head on no matter how high turrets are

Pure positive
Brontosaurus dead body can also block turrets so is decent in raids
Stego easily is the best it fits almost everywhere and you can barely be shot off
rexes should be ranked higher you can shoot the turrets with the tek saddle with a good range and they can soak for awhile

Racers should move into this Tier list. When they have their heads up and a Box, they are pretty good. I am missing Megachelons too. Like you mentioned multiple times, it depends on the situation. You always have to keep in mind, that turrets shoot you off the mount. Or Bloodstalkers reel you in. So a Diplo is only good without Riders. Reaper Kings are more like a B Tier Dino. You can counter them with Light and you sit up very high on them. Also worth a mention, but not high Tier are pachyrhinos. As long as they havent been nerfed. And I am a bit confused that you made a Video about the Amargasaurs being a good soaker but now they are missing. They are similair to Diplos. What about Quetzals? Or Basilos for underwater Action? I think tactics are better to blow up towers/bases than purely soaking every bullet. I would simply say that the Video needs an upgrade combined with some testing :)

I disagree with the karki bcuz it takes less or same damage then a rock elemental cuz the rock elemental is not breedable and it can pick up things wich the rock ele cant, karki can soak underwater too and u can throw ur tribe m8 on a stego into a base, plus the rex cant even soak its just that it has a saddle thats why its good

also reapers are very very very stupid easily countered, using them as soakers is a lil too risky to rank them that high when a skiff makes alot of these and many other dinos better soakers

Only charge light. Daytime is irrelevant to Reapers, but a bulbdog or Plant Species Z fruit is their bane.

This list is sound. The only thing that would have made it better is if he talked about the net gun or better yet. Tested it on each Dino so we could see what is affected against it. I was doing a raid and the net gun basically made my stenosis useless 😒

How does anky rank? it used to be a tank dino due to high HP and it is also easy to breed in rathole bases due to tiny size.
Has to be below carbos. Lacking the damage reduction and a lower health is pretty meaningful.

Diplos are useless, you get shot off and trikes with all buffs have the highest s resistance in the game by FAR. Like it’s not even close, 2 yuty buffed golems is about equal to one fully buffed trike, mate boost, alpha buff wyvern milk, veggie cakes, yuty buff on the trike it doesn’t take dmg
