    So much respect for the time put into cutting and grinding. I went UD60’s on deal I could not pass up but this is the route I was going. Great job.

      Thank you! It’s a good bit of work but I’d say it’s worth doing in the end

    That's on my one day list.
    I'm planning on beefing up the D30 on our '99 XJ, since we don't do extreme offroading in north Florida. We only run 35's but thinking of going up to 37's..
    Might consider your route, seems it'll take the same amount of work. Just more expensive.
    Looking forward to the next episode....

      My brother runs 35’s on his HP 30 with stock shafts and a lunchbox and it has held up great

    The whole time watching this, I’m thinking about how questionable those axle stands looked. And then the blooper just gave it away 😂

      It was either super solid and felt great or it wanted to fall. There was no in between haha

    I have the same axle and want to get the same truss. How big of a welder do you need to burn in the truss? I’ve done some Dana 44’s before, they came out great but I’m not a welder. I just don’t want this thing coming apart 😅

    • @trailtrash9717
      @trailtrash9717  Год назад +1

      You’ll want to use a 220 welder for sure. It would be hard to get it hot enough with a 110 and even with the 220 you need to head the cast parts

      @@trailtrash9717 I have a 220 Lincoln 180 do you think that will be good? It definitely gets hot

      @@mrbrettdimarco I used a 220 volt Lincoln 180. It worked fine.
