Respect the hustle. My rides a 2 door ‘11 rubicon with automatic sitting up with a RK X factor Jku kit that sets me about 3.5” on 33” nitto trail grapplers. Looks like it skipped leg day so I wanted to do the same mods as far as axles and 40’s. Motor is probably going to be a LT 5.3 w/8l90.
The drag link goes on the inner hole on the high steer arm and the tie rod goes on the outer. The Jk steering box has less throw than the super duty so they don't connect in the same place .
Your right but since at the time of this vid I didn't have hydro assist yet I put it on the outer hole for a little extra leverage at the sacrifice of some steering travel
What track bar do you have? Just completed same swap on my jk and track bar hits the drag link on left turns. Also, did you have any issue with your traction control firing on turns?
I have the rock krawler track bar but really the proper way to do it is have one bent for your jeep. I just disabled all that stuff on mine since it's a manual
what did you use for that upper control arm for the 3 link in the rear? could i use an aftermarket upper control arm with heims for the stock axle and put it there?
The while rear suspension is all rock krawler stuff. I know they have a 3 link conversion kit with just the upper link stuff if you want to keep your current lowers
There's a ton of variables to this like what you want to spend, type of wheeling, size tire, etc. I will say though. The price of a crate 44 and building the rear to match is not terrible far off from building ju kyard tone
If u find a take out bolt in axle from a rubicon at a decent price and u don’t plan on running a tire to much bigger than a 37” than that’s probably bettter but he’s right there is a ton of factors involved
@@SoFloJeeping that’s what i thought but i read that the 550 housings are wider than 250’s. thank you though, i know fusion sells the kit fairly priced.

@@SoFloJeeping i think they're the dream axels for everyone lol. your rig is awesome id love to see more about the stretch ive been thinking about a 6 inch on mine.
@@Thejeepcalledyeti thanks! If you go to my channel I actually have an entire video on just the stretch called "this is the best thing I've done to my jeep" lol

Learn so much from your videos, really appreciate the knowledge you are putting down for us noobs.
No problem! I'm a noob too I'm just a noob that is forced to learn by going way in over my head 😂
I run 5” backspaced 17s on my 04 d60 with Artec steering. About 3/16” clearance. I also run stock 05+ 20 inch wheels with like 6.5” backspace.
Do you have a parts list break down with links? Artec is good stuff!

Nice! One day I'd love to do a 5.3 or 6.0 with a standalone in mine but the 3.6 still has too much life left in it to yank it lol
thank you for always replying, one more question why not 3 link the front?
Money lol. It's coming eventually I just haven't got around to it

Nice video. Thanks. Did you solve the front track bar bracket issue? Think there are better options than Barnes?
If I were to do it again I'd go tmr
@@SoFloJeeping Thanks for the quick response!

Why not dana 70 in rear? That away taller gear....
do you know if a 10.5" from an 08 will work? I can get one for cheaper than junkyard and dont want to run into any snags going into it
I don't think it will

does it ride any better or worse on the street/highway? i have a 2 door as well
It does ride a little worse since there's more unsprung weight but it's not terrible
For a 2 door jk with a Dana 30 in the front, would it be better to get 1 tons or get a front Dana 44?

what year ford 550 do you get the 1550 shafts from the junkyard?
I bought mine new online for like $300. I don't remember the exact year but I assume just any 05+

Haven't destroyed them yet so they can't be that bad 🤷♂️
Hey bro just wondering what fenders you have
Jcr offroad mauler narrows
Have you looked into Portal axels?
Unfortunately whenever I look into portal axles I look into my pockets and realize they aren't deep enough 😂

How's your steering box/ components holding up with the 40s? Hydro assist in the future?
Hydro assist will definitely come but honestly with the extra leverage of the high steer arms its not bad at all
is your steering 1.5”?
1.75
Thanks
What all can you use from the junkyard axles ?
If the axles are in good condition you can reuse the unit bearings and brakes. Axles shafts are reused and you weld off the stock knuckles
You didn’t have any issues not having rear ABS sensors hooked up? What year is your Jeep?
2015 but it's a manual
torq locker gang gang

It eats jettas
step 1 save up $12k for parts
After selling all my stock stuff I only ended up about 5k out of pocket
Great video
