For anyone who's curious, the square box contains the jewel Yasakani-no-Magatama and the long box contains the sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, two of the Three Sacred Treasures which the new emperor is taking formal possession of after they were relinquished by his father the day before. Possessing a majority of these treasures is all that is necessary to distinguish a descendent of Amaterasu as emperor, and thus he is displaying them here before the government ministers. The objects have a front and a back, hence they are rotated so that the minsters can properly 'see' them. The two small pouches contain the Privy Seal and Great Seal of Japan, which are man-made objects that represent the Emperor's political power and reflect his role as earthly leader, as opposed to the Treasures which are divinely-crafted artifacts that represent the Emperor's divine providence and reflect his role as leader of the Shinto religion. Hence he just buggered off without the seals at the end, because the Emperor does not exercise political power but rather leaves that to his government ministers (indeed, the Emperor is constitutionally forbidden from any political speech or involvement other than that which is required by the Constitution or permitted by it for the Government to demand of him). The other Treasure is the mirror Yata-no-Kagami, the most holy of the three, which will be ritually presented to the Emperor along with the other two during his Enthronement Ceremony later this year. This is not the Emperor's enthronement, contrary to what the video title suggests, it's merely his accession. All three Treasures will also be concealed at the Enthronement Ceremony, and if anyone gets to see them at all, it will only be the Emperor and maybe a priest. This is unlikely, however, as the Emperor Emeritus has previously mentioned that he has never seen the sword, so exposure of the Treasures is presumably not part of the Enthronement Ceremony.

Regarding the sacred items, is already explained by someone below. And the ceremony on this video is rather a political part based on the constitution of Japan, and the traditional part is going to be very meaningful for Japanese people and nation. Historically speaking, our Emperor have being holding not only the power (sometimes lost "actual power" manipulated by a Shogun government) but also holding the highest authority for Shinto (Japan's indigenous religion -> please check Japanese mythology if interested). In the past, our Emperor(s) was sometimes a puppet sometimes a leader depends on Eras, however was always like the "greatest brand". That is why none of Samurai leaders/Shoguns (≒ Kings, they had their own territories/countries and castles) had never tried to defeat the Emperor, instead used (abused) the Imperial Authority (and the "Emperor's certificate") to rule Japan. It was more clever and gentle approach than defeating the Emperor, invoking hatred by commoners, leading to an unstable government. And here I wouldn't mention the importance/unimportance of tradition since it's not necessarily related to Japan, and every person has different opinions.
The emporer’s presence is so gentle and reassuring. Sometimes when I experience anxiety I like to watch him on RUclips and somehow feel I will be ok when I see the emporers soothing presence in a room.

The square box contains the jewel Yasakani-no-Magatama and the long box contains the sword Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi, two of the Three Sacred Treasures which the new emperor is taking formal possession of after they were relinquished by his father the day before. Possessing a majority of these treasures is all that is necessary to distinguish a descendent of Amaterasu as emperor. The two small pouches contain the Privy Seal and Great Seal of Japan, which are simply man-made objects rather than divinely-crafted religious artifacts, hence the Emperor just buggered off without them at the end.
