Yea finally a video that shows the settings for fl compressor on drum bus thanks alot other video skim through it to fast but this shows just what I've been looking for
I bought all your courses . It's the best thing that i do Really i learned a lot a lot in a short time About mixing . Music theory . Hard trap .... Thanks a lot ♥️
@@reznov2310 No, if I set my music to -14 LUFS integrated I'll get a very low sound. If set it to -7 LUFS or something like that it will be squashed and reduced in volume, but it will still sound louder than a -14 LUFS track (perceived loudness). But this volume reduction never happens with industry musicians or any famous artist, and if you check their songs they always get like -5 LUFS integrated, Travis Scott is a good example. They always sound loud and their audio is never normalized.
@@nallibeats its ALL about the mix brother. If things doesnt work out in the master session ist becuz there is an issue in your mix. hard pill to swallow but it is what it is. Also Travis Scott engineers dont use magic. If you really have trouble to get a decent master i offer you my help. maybe we can check whats wrong.
@@reznov2310 It feels like there's something wrong in the mastering, not in the mix, but actually when I master my songs it sounds loud af, as loud as any music out there, the problem is the volume reduction when it is UPLOADED to youtube, and I tried many things, like setting it to -14 lufs integrated, and it actually made my music sound quieter, I really can't understand. Feels like I'm in the middle of the loudness war, but now I can't even compete.
Max you are doing great job I learn a lot from you and pml courses please make more content for fl studio daw as you guys do for albton live . pml is great platform for music production courses
Is it always safe to use the Dry-Wet Knob on the Mixer Slots? I read somewhere that it might bring phase issues. I haven't used it since then. Would only use a plugin's inbuilt Dry-Wet Mix knob when I need to dial in the balance between the two.
I want to get better at this but this all sounds the same to me (other than that open hat being too loud). Is there some way to improve the "hearing" ,so to say, as mixing makes no sense when the differences are miniscule to my ear?
Side chain the kick channel to the bass channel to allow room For both to co exist, click kick channel and then right click the bass channel and “sidechain to this track” then on the bass channel add a limiter and select compression mode.
I'm needing some help using my Florida Studio bought the package have had it for over 2 and 1/2 years and still have not been able to set up music the way I think it should be my main problem is how to use FPC that's the main program that I would like to use any help would be greatly appreciated
I have an issue where i set a peak controller for a delay with reverb in a vocal ( to fill up gaps between phrases and the transition between the hook and the verse ) but fruity peak controller kicks in too quick so it doesn't let the reverb play for a few milliseconds or so and you can hear how it shut down the reverb volume completely when the vocal plays, Any ideas how to fix this? is there a setting like ''Attack'' for the peak controller?
Im still learning so please dont judge me for asking this but was he judging the loudness by comparing the green bar limit on the mixer? signifying if one bar is higher than the other its louder? i just never honestly thought to do that and i am judging the f*ck out of myself. :(
I have another problem. When only drums and bass are playing that time kick sounds too good and tight and punchy but when I add other instrument like piano chords or pluck or pads than kick not sound punchy and tight. What to do sir. Please help me.
It's proven that hitting the *Like Button* makes your drums hit 4x times harder!
Abe sale🤣

Liaaaarrrr
Funny 😂😂😂😂
Actually the best free mixing tips on RUclips thanks for making the content 🤝
about the side chain thing he didn't told u he got a cymbal to make it harder
Short and straight to the point I love this.
0:34 volume
1:27 eq
2:17 parallel comp
These are great tips, but I would say the very first thing is sound choice! Picking high quality samples is vital
Best tips always

My friend: *** Mixing ***

My friend: what's that.
Also me: 😎 yes.

did you side chain the whole drum buzz to the melody buzz?

You will be fine with stock VST :) I wouldn't use EQ mixer knob though!
Yeah, don't use it on Maximus either.
Does the 808 count as drums?
I want to get better at this but this all sounds the same to me (other than that open hat being too loud). Is there some way to improve the "hearing" ,so to say, as mixing makes no sense when the differences are miniscule to my ear?
Listen on headphones maybe
You are the best
Who need every week new video like here
Oh yes
Can you make uplifting trance drum mixing pls
A video about watching other videos great
Everytime I side chain my crumbs it sounds too hollow…. Any tips ?
what do you mean with sidechain everthying ? Kick and 808 Sidechain on the master?
Check our other video :)
More stuff
So at the end i have to route the drum bus to the sidechain bus?
I would use saturation on the drum bus, not distortion, but good tutorial btw
Your opinion. People distortion and it works
Show meeeee moooreeee for Harder and louder, Agressive beat?
I am confused here what should we sideshain to what?
Side chain the kick channel to the bass channel to allow room
For both to co exist, click kick channel and then right click the bass channel and “sidechain to this track” then on the bass channel add a limiter and select compression mode.
My drums getting harder but snare sounds squash after parallel compression why?
And why your snare not getting squash?
Your snare is in stereo?
Nice
regarding to the kick should i always turn the mono on? or is it not necessary
kick and bass frequiencies below 250 hz should be always in mono
ye they should be in mono but somehow you can be creative but it will mess up the mix a little and also it will cause heavy phasing issues.
most kick samples are already mono, you can check if they are using ozone imager which is free :)
nice,..
more more moooooooreeeeeeeee!!!!!

Do you put the 808 into the drum mixbus as well???
No! :)
@@theMixElite wasn’t sure. Thanks!
when i set the compressor to the 1/3 as you showed, it makes weird chorus-ish sound. so doesn't work for me

What about melody’s
turning down the mix level on Fruity Compressor makes it sound like I put a flanger on.. any idea why?
(1) Route to this track (2) Route to this track only ???!!!! Which option you used!????
¿Tus cursos están en audio español?
Can you do a tutorial on how to avoid beatblock ? sometimes I don't feel inspired or motivated to make beats please help🙏
Start messing around with synths (serum or what ever you have) maybe you make a cool sound and get inspired.
do u teach online

Try adjusting the tension knob.. I know it's a late reply but if it helps then I'm happy

Most likely your not eqing the sound and the low end of the sounds is conflicting with the drums. Or your doing this step wrong
@@DETERMINOLOGY yes I'm doing the equing. Cutting the low frequency to make space for the kick and bass.
@@NoobdaProducer has to be how you got the master set up then my guess
MAKE MASTERING COURSE ALSO MAXX IN PML
Outro song?
