Overview
To keep a firm hold on new-vehicle shoppers, compact crossovers such as the Kia Sportage make space their number-one priority. The two-row Sportage is spacious and is offered with a 187-hp four-cylinder engine that lacks significant kick. The more powerful Sportage Hybrid and PHEV, reviewed separately, mostly fix that gripe. Up against the likes of the Mazda CX-5 and Honda CR-V, the Sportage uses a bevy of standard features and equipment, with an affordable starting price to sweeten the temptation. Front-wheel drive is standard on most trims, but all-wheel drive is available. The Sportage’s distracting design keeps it from being mistaken for another crossover, but it does share much of its DNA with its corporate sibling, the Hyundai Tucson.
What's New for 2024?
After a major overhaul last year, the Kia Sportage sees some less dramatic changes for 2024. Kia fits airbags to the second-row seats and LED projector headlights as standard equipment on all Sportage models. They've also dropped the all-wheel-drive SX trim for 2024.

The midrange EX appears to offer the most value here, adding desirable features such as the larger 12.3-inch infotainment screen, wireless smartphone charging, and heated front seats.
Engine, Transmission, and Performance
The Sportage's default powertrain is a 187-hp 2.5-liter four-cylinder that mates to an eight-speed automatic transmission and either front- or all-wheel drive. We sampled both the base four-cylinder and the hybrid powertrain during our initial test drive and were more satisfied with the latter than the former. At our test track, the nonhybrid Sportage needed 8.6 seconds to hit 60 mph versus only 7.4 seconds for the hybrid. The Sportage rides on a new platform with a longer wheelbase than the previous generation, and ride comfort is improved as a result. The introduction of rugged-looking trims such as the X-Line gives the compact ute an off-road vibe, but the X-Pro actually has some equipment to help tackle the rough stuff. It rides on black 17-inch rims and all-terrain tires and features a selection of drive modes.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
Inside, the Sportage makes an impression with a snazzy design highlighted by a huge digital display on the dashboard and other various eye-catching details. The interior is available in an attractive two-tone color scheme as an option, but if you prefer an all-black cabin that's available too. The center console boasts a rotary shift knob, a push-to-start button, and a myriad of other controls that blend into the piano-black bezel. Thanks to bigger dimensions overall as well as a longer wheelbase, the Sportage has more rear-seat legroom and 40 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seat. There's also a dual-level cargo floor for even more versatility.

Работаю на сервисе КИА. Каждый рабочий день, обслуживая разные модели данной марки хочу выделить именно Спортэйдж последнего поколения. Да, дизайн спорный, но в остальном машина очень удачная. Надёжная, удобная, комфортная. Всё сделано по уму. Прекраная машина!

Мне оч понравилась. Я купил . В максимальной комплектации черная лонг версия на рыжей коже , оч красиво смотрится . Могу фотки показать увидите сами что именно моя машина очень красива .Сбоку топ. Сзади топ . Спереди да , на любителя. Но таких любителей хай тека щас полно. На дворе уже почти 2024г такие решения щас актуальны и смотрятся нормально. Вот лет так 5 назад да . Люди бы засрали ее из-за фар . Типа вместо норм фар бумеранги а фары как известно глаза машины . Получается это или безглазый инопланетянин или чисто кореец ) . Хочу сказать,
что спортейж этого поколения по
эргономике и качеству материалов уже не
уступает немцам и обошёл японцев.
Подвеска настроена отлично, она не
табуреточная как у немцев и не вальяжная
как у американцев. Самый большой плюс,
что в этой машине чистый
гидротрансформаторный автомат и в
связке с простым атмосферным
двигателем даёт длительный ресурс этим
узлам, а от задиров в цилиндрах, уже как
пару лет назад, избавились с появлением
двигателей семейства смартстрим
- Минусов как токовых нет, надо понимать,
что тут простые атмосферные двигатели
без турбины, которые не обладают резким
ускорением. ЛКП тонкое, поэтому
желательно затягивать в бронепленку.

Если учитывать цену, то я бы не сказал, что это в принципе интересный авто. Тот-же tiggо 7 PRO MAX с учетом рассрочки намного привлекательней и современней, комфортней и безопасней. Да и обслужить сейчас китайцев в России проще и дешевле всего

Beautiful in the showroom, but unfortunately all these shiny black lacquered interior coatings, fender contours, front and rear shields, it's a real misery, two or three washes and we will see all the scratches on the bottom... This car is not made for the meticulous!

My golf 1.6 tdi has less fuel consumption than the 1.6 gdi hybrid kia. If you don't care about this aspect, then go for the Kia.
You cannot compare a 1.6 TDI with a 1.6 GDI. Also your golf with the 1.5 TSI will consume more fuel.
The real comparison is with the CRDI.
@@Layne9471 what I want to say is that this "hybrid= benzin + elektron" is a bad joke. No fuel consumption economy compared to diesel. So why shall I pay 30k more, for the same results? I will let others ....
@@ciurdarandrei6311 where I live diesel car cannot circulate anymore in the city center. It’s not everything about fuel consumption. If they decide to block diesel cars you have to deal with it.

В живую смотрится хуже.Через неделю внешний вид машины стал не привлекательным и даже раздражающим.Что-то не то с дизайном.

Das Auto ist nicht schön, einfach zu verspielt.
Deshalb sieht man es auch kaum auf der Straße. Der Vorgänger hat mir deutlich besser gefallen.
