One thing I’m disappointed with when it comes to Sportage packaging is that their adaptive cruise STILL isn’t available until you get up to the SX trim level and above. That’s a misstep, IMO, since most others in the class have this as standard.
Recently purchased a 2025 Sportage EX and am still learning all there is to know about it and how it handles. Really roomy inside and great MPG. Did not get or want Sun Roof or 4WD. 95% don't need or know how/or when to use 4WD. Great vehicle (so far). 9th Kia in our extended family.
My dad has the 2024 Kia sportage, it’s good and fast, it’s up to 30k dollars in uk, and paid 350 dollars for 4 seat mats, I think it’s worth the price, it even took 1-2 weeks to collect!
Kia Sportage X-Line PHEV is highly rated by consumer reports with a strong score of 87 with a recommendation to buy. Very good value when compared to the Toyota Rav 4 Prime.
Since you were smart enough and took time to give actual dimensions of the cargo area, it would be great if you would add the width between wheel wells to future reviews. Not a fan of gloss black finishes inside the vehicle as they will look awful covered in fingerprints. Thanks for always covering everything in your reviews. Great that you always take sound level measurements. THANKS!!!
I'm not really an SUV guy but due to unforeseen circumstances I somehow ended up with the SX PHEV version of this vehicle. (Canadian trim.) I rmjoy the sophisticated austerity of the interior, even with the piano black (I keep a microfibre cloth in the centre console.) I'm impressed that the battery covers all of my daily commute (and then some.) I'm a fan of exterior styling, although the flank wings that they've welded on to the bottom of the doors to hide the battery is kind of comical. The infotainment screen is fully integrated with the driver console and the sound system is ok as far as these things go. It has blind spot cameras that appear directly in front of the driver which is frigging amazing. Sadly, this vehicle does NOT have wireless autoplay, which is hilarious given that my sister's base model Soul from last year does. WTF were they thinking??
Ive always been weird about this brand but that thing looks SICK! Drove the base and it was blah but very comfy and handled pretty good. I need to try the Hybrid turbo one
Way too much gloss black. I personally don’t think it will age well. I’m not a fan of the infotainment, either. The rest of the interior is really nice and the space is good. It has a spare which is a big plus.
I have the 2023 EX. I love it. I hate that they have too many variations. My EX should have remote parking assist and other little things like cooling seats and heated steering wheel. But I still love her. I drove a Kia E niro prior to buying the sportage. Loved it, just couldn’t go all electric. Just wish I could’ve afforded the hybrid.
I’d say the x line trim of the sportage is the trim hats packed with the best value because you get the parking sensors, heated seats, the bigger infotainment and an optional panoramic sunroof
Thank for clarifying bc I was about to say Mason either got some cosmetic work done or someone has replaced him. I couldn’t even concentrate at first bc I needed answers 😂😩
Boring MY for the Sportage since facelift is out next year. Currently, Tucson is the better buy due to the new interior and infotainment. I'm hoping the Sportage will also get the steering stalk gear selector instead of the rotary one. The storage space in the Tucson has massively improved post-facelift.
At the trim line I wanted ex vs the 2025 Tucson equivalent preferred with trend in Canada, the hyundai edged it out for me. Both great looking cars inside and out. Hyundai brought in the combined screen inside which follows the sportage. At this trim level the tie breaker for me was the power tail gate, wire shifter handle (opens up the centre) and wireless android auto. Both great cars but I went with the Tucson.
Yeah, we just took delivery of a 2025 Tucson XRT. When we were looking around, there was no comparison trim level to trim level - the Tucson edged out absolutely all of the competition (Mitsubishi, Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Kia, Mazda, even Cadillac when it came to interior for value).
I recently drove a base gas model Kia Sportage in LA and it did not have a sunglasses holder where many manufacturers have it which is above the rearview mirror. Perhaps higher trim levels have it or it's located in another location? I didn't see it in this video. Do any of the 2025 models have it?
I really enjoy ya'lls channel it would be nice to see a comparison video of the 2025 Nissan Rogue SV premium package VS. the 2025 Hyundai Tucson SEL convenience package. I believe those 2 will be the top sellers for price and features because Honda and Toyota don't offer packages of the same for their comparison CR-V and Rav4.
I was thinking of getting one, but I love the wireless android auto in my other 2 cars. Wired with this one is a deal breaker. I'll see if they fix it for 2026 if I haven't bought something else by then.
The Sportage is dangerously slow. Looked at one to replace my wife’s 2018 Soul ! (200 HP Turbo). My wife hated how slow the Sportage was in comparison. 2.2 second difference 0-60 is unacceptable (6.3 vs 8.5) and the low down turbo torque of the Soul makes it feel like the difference is even more drastic. Probably gonna go with the new Seltos instead. At least it can get out of its own way. FYI to all those talking Kia issues, our Soul is 55K in, no issues and Telluride is 30K in and perfect so far.
Awesome suv. I keep seeing reviews on how great kia Hyundai are even better than Honda. Yet in real life family, friends, and so many others have so many issues within 3 years including fires and other series issues like some other brands. I love story of founder like story of Mr Honda. He started with Ford and other brands after Japan occupation to build equipment for construction and it's a great story. But I'll stick to Honda Acura products unless they don't stop making mistakes.
No, the black elements don't look good when they are gloss black. This is made you just sell by making it look nice when it's new and then a few months after owning it looks cheap.
Hate the panoramic display all along the dash. It's just lazy and uncreative. You lose that whole portion that has the view blocked out by the steering wheel, It just doesnt look right
It’s more powerful than the CR V, RAV4, CX-5, and CX-50 so unless you think pretty much every car in this segment is underpowered it’s more powerful than most of its competitors
Nothing towards the creators of this video...love all your content but I'd stay clear of and Kia vehicle my 2022 sorento has already needed 2 transmissions replaced due to a recall.
You look at the gloss black trim the wrong way and you will put scratches in it. Looks good but you will soon come to hate it as more and more scratches rear their ugly head.
In two years that Gloss Black will look like crap! Thousands of tiny scratches. Really dumb design, and those headlights look like they were designed in an insane asylum! Otherwise a great looking vehicle.
Dudes, this is the 2024 🤦♂️. The 2025 model is completely different. It will be available in spring 2025. Kia has already published the official video and there are also the first reviews available.

Yes same thing I’ve noticed, disappointing for sure. I wanted an EX trim, but I have to jump up to an SX just to get all of the features I want!

Just saw the review of the Sportage 2026 model (2025 in Korea) and if you can wait 9 months it would be well worth the wait.
i just bought the 2025 sx prestige and i love it!
Me too!

I have the 2025 Ex and I used to drive a 2015 Jeep Lattitude. Very similar seat comfort and roominess. But this is a great upgrade!😮❤
Hyundai Tucson + Kia Sportage = Compact SUV Siblings

Great review, thanks!
It they were really listening to their customers, they would ditch the piano black on the inside and gloss black on the outside - not add more!
Amen to that! We overlayed ours in our SX Prestige Hybrid
Yes, thats why 2022-2023 sportage is still the best so far.
@@realitybites8558 if only. So many auto makers are guilty of this and I wish I knew why.

You should be measuring the distance between wheel wells in the cargo area as that restricts the width available more than the door opening.
Fantastic review of an excellent vehicle!

Now please @Car Confections review the hybrid model! 😊 it would be nice to see it compared to the hybrid CRV and the hybrid RAV4
Have the 2022 model PHEV. It’s pretty good except the rear boot room. If you have more than one kid it’s a mission to go on a road trip.

Really don't like that purple hoop gauge cluster. Tucson gives you a nice full digi one, on all models.

Is Kia reliable? Will the car last for more than 10 years / 200k miles?
I wish my 23’ X-Line had the piano black accents all the way around like this one does, that’s what I really wanted.

8.5 seconds is far from dangerously slow. A generation ago that would have been a quick car.
That's great if you time travel back with it, but in today's reality it's dangerously slow.
