as I go back into full contact karate after 10 years not doing any martial arts, this is helpful to get my flexibility back. I had a good sidekick just like in this video without much work as I was younger and more flexibile. Now at 36 going back into knockdown karate just for health purposes as I got tired and bored from doing gymstuff I realized my sidekick flexibility and strength was totally gone. I will keep doing these drills to get even better than the old me. Osu!! thank you

I m way over 40, struggling with high kicks for 2 years now meanwhile i m quite a good kicker according to everyone i spar with - just not to the head. And i stretch and do like hell, searching why my hip forbids my leg to go up sideways higher the shoulder. I really did not expect to find something helpfull anymore - but the first drill, obvious as it is - already helped me... thx!
Stretch number one is exactly what my teacher used to tell me to do many years ago. I have to admit though, even after all these years, despite being able to do a strong decent sidekick, a sidekick is still my weakest kick in terms of form. I'm more of a roundhouse kick guy.
As a TKD student,all of these exercise do improve our kick speed and power and height

I’m a master at low kick , when someone is on the floor I can kick the head easy! Can’t kick higher tho 😂😂
