I think I would have rather had a slot car ride like Radiator Springs Racers. I don't know why Universal insists on building slow screen based attractions franchises that were meant to be fast.
Exactly! Even if you weren’t able to steer it it still would have been way more fun to speed through a real life mario kart track. They could even do one track for kids or people who want a slower experience, and a faster track (like the speed of radiator springs racers). This mario kart ride looks very good but the only problem is that it’s way to slow. Smaller kids will love it but even 8 year old me would have wanted it to be faster.

It isn’t a fast paced rollercoaster-esk ride because that wasn’t the intention. Essentially all of Super Nintendo World is meant to be an incredibly innovative and groundbreaking experience. So it would only make sense to do the same with Bowser’s Challenge, since Nintendo has gone on record of just doing their own thing, this is a perfect fit. Adding Augmented Reality and having the ride be interactive. *TL;DR* Bowser’s Challenge isn’t a high speed roller coaster because that’s not the direction the team wanted to go in. Also make sure to save your judgement for the ride until you’ve ridden it.
I love that even without playing the game and not wearing glasses you still get a great dark ride

They just announced it will be sometimes in early 2023 for Hollywood!

I Universal Hollywood gives us the option to experience this ride without the AR goggles.
