@@streamverseai dude we get it you don’t like the ride. I’ve seen you comment this exact paragraph about 3 times in the comment section. Let other people judge the ride how they want, the world doesn’t revolve just around you. Let people say what they want 🙄
@@streamverseai Jokes on you, I never rode Mr. Toad's Wild Ride so I have zero expectations to the ride and probably will have a blast. Also I'm not into Indiana Jones so I don't give two craps about how much you wish to marry that ride.
DISCLAIMER: The AR is going to look bad in every single POV because they literally shoved a camera into the glasses and held it the entire ride. It’s gonna look very different when you actually ride it.
Definitely looks like an insane blend of technology and definitely can’t judge until it’s experienced first hand but I expected a Mario kart ride to be...well...fast.
@@acowwithlegs Doubtful. Those rides actually have parts that move fast. Watch the documentary about how the Spider-Man ride was made. They had to slow it down.
I guess if it was fast it would need to be incredibly big, this way they have it quite compact, it's basically like any tour type ride. It does seem too slow though.
Initial Reactions. Ride looks solid, the sets rock and the projections and screens look very good. The only negative thing is I felt like the promo made it seem like you were gonna be like going an decent speed
You have to imagine it'll probably be an Indians jones adventure type thing though, where the cars may be moving really slow, but the wind effects within the attraction make it feel like you're going much faster.
This is a pretty common complaint people seem to have about this ride, that it moves too slowly but personally I'm relieved it isn't some super fast thrill ride as I wanted to ride this but was worried it would be too fast for me as I get very motion sick and really don't do well with high speed rides but this looks slow enough that I could ride it without losing my lunch lol. I do agree that they probably should've marketed it differently as the marketing made it seem like it was gonna be a fast ride however I can understand the practical reason for keeping it a slow moving ride: 1) They had to make the ride fairly accessible to young(ish) children. Mario (especially Mario Kart) Is very popular with children and it would be missing out on that demographic to make a ride that was too fast and thrilling for kids. 2) They probably wanted the sets to be appreciated by moving slowly past them. If you were speeding round, you wouldn't really get to see the amazingly detailed sets that the creators obviously worked very hard on. 3) There's also the other practical issue of space. This ride actually takes up a pretty small amount of space. For a ride to be faster it would also have to be bigger as whizzing round these sharp corners would potentially be dangerous so the ride would have to be expanded to have longer stretches of track so the cars could go faster plus the track would have to be made longer all round as a faster ride would end faster meaning wouldn't last very long. They clearly only had a small space to work with so making the ride slow makes sense as it gives riders a decent ride length without long tracks. You can see this ride uses a lot of corners and sharp turns so there's no long stretches of track that take up too much room. I agree this ride shouldn't have been built up as a fast paced thrill ride when in reality it's a slow moving dark ride with AR and projections affectively used to give the illusion of speed.
What was the point of the physical sets? You are being too distracted by the characters on the screen you are wearing to even notice the sets. They could've just made this a completely virtual ride with no sets and it probably would've been better.
@@oksat6495 I disagree you don't ha e to actually be moving to be moving in VR. All you have to do is simulate acceleration by tilting the physical kart your in, add some fans in your face for imertion a voila, you're moving witouth moving.
@icemeth 22 That doesn’t mean that everyone will expect the same. Its your opinion and its not a mistake. The whole park is like a mini city. Much of them is prepared. And i mean, you still don’t experience it yourself because you are a freaking united state guy. Also shut up with your profanity since you talking in a celebrity guy nathie.
i don’t think people realise that the camera is literally shoved into the left lense of the goggle... that’s why it looks janky. go watch the leaked clip from a week ago and you’ll see a much better view but bear in mind it’s impossible for a camera to capture the ar in its true form.
@@Mark-Mark-Mark-Mark It’s likely just because we’re watching it on video. I’m going to assume they use stuff like wind to make it feel like you’re going much faster than you actually are, which isn’t uncommon at theme parks
@@JadeoLameo thats what i think too, they probably make it feel somewhat faster with the ar? but it seems like they were focusing more so on showcasing all the popular tracks and keeping it more family-oriented rather than having an actual high speed race.
This seems like an absolutely insane thing to experience when actually on the ride. The AR mixed with the sets probably looks totally rad when your head is in the goggles and tracking the motion properly!
Since this seems to be a mashup of multiple different Mario Kart tracks, I'll list them in order of appearance! (correct me if I get any of them wrong): 1. Wii U Bowser's Castle 2. Wii U Mario Circuit (I think? I'm honestly not sure) 3. 3DS Piranha Plant Slide 4. Wii U Dolphin Shoals 5. Wii U Twisted Mansion 6. Wii U Cloudtop Cruise 7. Wii Grumble Volcano 8. N64 Rainbow Road
@@streamverseai I actually wrote this comment when the video was around the queue line, while finding incredible Easter eggs. The ride looks like a disappointment, but without AR glasses couldn’t tell for real.
@@streamverseai I have been fantasizing with a Nintendo theme park since it was announced, with Donkey Kong roller coasters, Starfox shooting dark rides, A Splatoon play area with those sponge cannons, a Kirby reastaurant, a Skyward Sword flight simulator, and more, but this is really underwhelming. Kind of what people say about Tokyo DisneySea, walking around is awesome, but the rides lack quality and quantity.
@@streamverseai Id say ride it for yourself. Then see what you think, espically since this is only a video and your not going to get the full experince
@@streamverseai they're whole idea was to showcase AR for the entire time. Omg your comment is migraine emducing. You're stupid. You don't understand the technology behind it.
Any of you complaining this isn't fast enough don't seem to understand how difficult this was to make. Nintendo being involved most likely meant they HAD to have interactivity on the ride. That basically means a faster ride is out of the question because it wouldn't give riders a chance to react to things happening around them in AR. The only way it could've been done was if the ride was MASSIVE which just isn't possible when its built in an existing park. I love what they did here and cant wait to ride.
I dont care whatever can be said, its a slow boring crap. If you like it its fine but let other peoples express their point of view too. I was expectes to go because i live not far but this video make me save time and money. Its a HUGE DISAPOINTEMENT.
I just think they should have switched games completely. If your going to make a ride based on racing then it would only make sense for it to be faster. I would say go big or go home. Something like radiator springs racers but with a Mario theme and the AR. If they don’t have that big of a space and wanted interactivity then they definitely should have gone with something like Luigis mansion. The idea and concept speaks for itself
It's weird. I'm not sure if I want to watch the video. I remember back in the days as a kid there might have been documentaries or so about Disney world but I've never watched them if they existed in Europe. But when I finally went it was soooo magical. I'll never forget it. Came back several times and everything was new for me since internet didn't exist. On the other side I'm pretty happy since I'm sick and I probably never be able to visit the Nintendo World in my life. It's nice to get a glimpse of what it would be like. Thank you
To be honest, I’m actually relieved that it’s not too fast! I am not good with roller coasters! P.S. 17:55 It’s pretty neat that they’re going with the original Luigi’s Mansion sound effect for King Boo!
Definitely looks nice. I know that having the camera only capture the left AR, in that position, will not make things look quite as well as it would when actually riding there with both left and right views, but this is still neat. It is quite a game-ified experience, so it really makes sense they went that way. I also really like how shooting is not the only way to score points and that you are technically graded on how on top of your steering you are, when following the track. Probably the first time I've seen a ride with a steering wheel, and a fixed track, where steering mattered. The only issue I'd have with the way it is game-ified is that they had to put points in, and I'm a point-kind of person. I'd have to fight the urge to keep going back and waiting in line over and over again, to beat the high score. (Knowing the lines would be long enough to take too much time from other attractions, if going for multiple trips) The models and in-jokes leading up to the ride are great. I actually want a Piranha plant stained-glass lamp like that.
Man, I really want to do this in person and see the AR with my own eyes, since the AR shown through the camera cuts off the images sometimes and the images move all over the place from the camera jittering and stuff like that. I bet it looks much better in person. Overall a fantastic ride!
Maybe its my lack of going to elaborate amusement parks due to where I live, but I don't see why everyone is saying the ride and the queue is so bad. Everything is so filled with details and funny stuff that makes it feel like it's really is a waiting line build by Bowser. And the ride itself seems like quite fun and I imagine the AR goggle tech is what really cements it, which can't be fully shown in a video.
People just like to complain. I honestly think this looks amazing. If it looks this good in a RUclips video, imagine how it looks with your own two eyes.
It’s because they took the main element of MK, and made it non existent, there’s no racing, you’re barely moving 3mph. The ride LOOKS cool but it’s just filled with screens and doesn’t feel like anything is actually happening.
@@damien-nk9ko let's just hope that they use the criticism and look for ways to make the ride better when it reaches here in the states. Knowing how construction has been nowadays, it's most likely going to be put on hold for a while making it beneficial for better planning I guess. Actually, come to think of it....perhaps the main reason they chose to have it at a fixed speed would be because of the augmented reality functionality! If we were to move too fast, it wouldnt focus properly enough to work, making it useless for the ride
Looks incredible. Can't wait to experience this myself. Side note the set decoration for the queue is phenomenal. I loved stopping the video the read the book titles on the shelves XD
I really don't mind the ride being slow. The theming and experience look very fun to me and that this way more people can enjoy this attraction is nice in my opinion. You are be able to focus more on the characters anyways when you aren't constantly shaken and thrown around by G-forces. I understand that to some folks the racing aspect and thrill seems more important but really, I think they compromised quite well with how they went for a family AR shooter ride here. Already enjoyed some of the older 4D cinema experinces and this one pretty much combines a dark ride with one of those shooter rides.
You can’t base the ride off of what you see here everyone. There is way to much technology with the ar being the main focus. Why do you think that universal or Nintendo themselves haven’t showed any of it. Judging how strict Nintendo is about stuff, the ride would have to work out.
@@exiledrabbit There is an article of a Universal engineer stating how many drafts they went through the ride and how Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, was unimpressed with all of them and kept on adding more and more stuff. It’s on Gamexplains channel there is a video about it. Also Nintendo is notorious for being strict with their IP, so it’s not a far fetched assumption at all.
Honestly, I'm sure this'll look much better in person. It looks kinda shakey because of the AR glasses. This'll be really fun to experience for the first time.
You can tell that a whole lot of effort, love, and care went into this ride and the entire park. But I guess I was expecting more, I got my hopes up way too high. I was actually expecting either an actual go-kart track with elements of Bowser's Castle or just a roller coaster through the castle. But I am not disappointed with what we actually got. Definitely on my bucket list for sure.
Yeah this definitely seems like one of those rides that you have to actually ride to experience correctly. I expected this knowing goggles were being used. I see there’s set pieces too which is much better than just a big screen. Queue is gorgeous too.
I and probably many people here would’ve preferred a complete dark ride with a lot of animatronics and without any screens but I’ll reserve final judgement until I eventually get to ride it myself in Orlando how many years from now.
It looks kinda...slow? The AR tech looks really cool(and probably something you NEED to experience yourself.) Just kinda wish it wasn't a typical Universal darkride.
I'd go just for the set alone. There's so much detail and love that's been put into it, from the books to the podoboo fireplace to Peach's picture on the throne. The ride itself looks fun as hell, though not as fast as I thought, on the other hand if it did try to speed up with all those bends, the goggles might fly off and/or people would get whiplash. Overall, I'm excited for Nintendo land and I can't wait what other rides it comes up with.
@@alexanderjacob1008 I'm not saying that they are. I'm saying if it went at a crazy speed (like a go-kart at top speed) they would. As it is now, of course not. It's safe to ride and fun as hell.
First off let me start off by saying, I love Nintendo. Owned every console they ever put out. Played every Mario Kart game, one of my favorite Nintendo franchises. Even interviewed Nintendo’s “Walt Disney”, Shigeru Miyamoto once. Nintendo is one of the most inventive and innovative companies in the world. I also love theme parks. Worked at Disney World for many years. Been to Disney Parks around the world. Love Universal Florida’s Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Hollywood. Have season passes for all. So, when I heard there was a “Nintendo Land” coming to a theme park, two of the worlds I loved, collided. I was in heaven. When I also heard that the land’s big “E-ticket” attraction would be a Mario Kart ride, I started thinking, OMG, what will it be? After all, Mario Kart is all about SPEED! Will we get Disneyland’s Space Mountain meets California Adventure’s Radiator Springs Racers meets Universal’s Hulk Coaster?!! My mind started to imagine all the amazing possibilities!! Then this video as seen here hit the internet and I became instantly depressed. It was none of the above. It was Disneyland’s Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride with 1955 tech. A slow- moving, under 5 minute dark ride, that appears to be going under 8 miles per hour. A ride that has old augmented reality elements (gimmickry I can play at home for over a decade on my Nintendo Switch, 3DS or even my phone). Why Nintendo? WHY? This was your big moment to shine, to show the world you mean serious business in the theme park world. Instead, you give us this tepid-slow-crawling “Super Star Limo” Clunker? People will say “Oh, they didn’t have space!” I say, bullshit! Build UP, 2, 3 stories, like epic rides such as Terminator or Disney’s Star Wars Rise of the Resistance! People will say “But wait, there is AR, you can’t judge that from a video!” And I’ll say, I can judge the ride system, a ride that has no real speed, the use of video projections that will age out quickly, the fact that I can play a pretty nifty AR-based Nintendo game at home, Mario Kart Home Circuit (for the record, there is a video online that shoots the video through the AR goggles, and, it ain’t pretty). I am just so damn sad that Universal went cheap-cheap (pun intended, Mario fans!) with this ride. And intends to duplicate this in the United States. The land itself is not bad, though not as big as I thought it would be. The shops are awesome (Ill drop a couple hundred here easily), the food experience looks fun and yummy, and, the sleeper-hit attraction might be a video game fight with Bowser, Jr. However, another ride-miss appears to be the “Wedway People Mover-esque” Yoshi’s Adventure. It’s very short, half the length time-wise of People Mover, utilizing static Nintendo mannequins on display during the ride’s journey, scream “we ran out of money!” to me. This was Nintendo’s moment. To out do FLIGHT OF PASSAGE at Disney’s Pandora Land. Or out Potter Potter himself with Universal Florida’s three great E-tickets. Hell, even try surpass the amazing 1995 tech from INDIANA JONES ADVENTURE ride, Disneyland. Instead, we get the inept Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge (even Koopa is a little known character in the Nintendo World - marketing team, why didn’t you at least call it Bowser’s Challenge? Especially as you battle Bowser at the end?)
As a huge Mario fan, I’m so excited to see this come to the states. However I am concerned as to how this ride with age as the technology behind AR continues to evolve. Like if Universal makes a clone of this in Orlando (which they will), will the tech already be outdated by 2025. Also I’m really curious as to how big the show building is. It doesn’t seem like the track is all that long based on how slow the vehicles are moving and the illusion of driving fast is probably created with the help of the VR. But then again maybe this first video doesn’t do it justice at the moment. Can’t wait to see more!
Same I think it’ll be just fine in Hollywood but the main issue lies in Universals new park epic universes where this’ll have to fit in with the rest of the groundbreaking attractions they’ll offer
This is a really good point. They really should have made show building bigger and let the carts go faster while adding tracking points onto the real life sets so the AR glasses don’t get out of sync. It will be interesting to see if Orlando ends up upgrading parts of it before 2025
The 10 years-old me would have been in heaven there. I envy all the young gamers of the new generation who will experience this. They will remember it for all their life.
I’ve been on AR rides like this before, and it was a ton of fun. Not the most convincing, but enough to trick my brain into feeling like I was going fast and such. Really neat stuff. So to the people who are saying that it looks slow, I’d say it’s a safe assumption that it will feel significantly faster once you’re actually on the ride. However, I, like many others, were hoping for a ride with more practical effects. The early promotional images got us excited for a ride that used little to no AR, and actually had us moving around in a kart along a full track. (The kart would of course be on rails, cause if it was actually steerable, that would be dangerous af) Although this would have been far more difficult to construct, I think that it would feel significantly more real this way. Maybe it just wasn’t something that they could pull off, so they opted for an AR ride instead. I dunno, I’m just speculating. Also, I’ve seen several comments saying that this is “primarily geared towards kids, so what were you really expecting?” I disagree with the notion that rides for younger kids cannot be more intense. Of course you can go too far and have the ride move at breakneck speed and make people throw up, but that’s not what I’m asking for. Just look at some of the other rides at universal that are geared towards younger audiences. They’re more intense than this ride, but kids still love them. I’m not saying it HAS to be this way, I’m just saying that it CAN be. Also, the people who are saying that this ride will be slow are technically correct. Once you’ve got the headset on, it’s probably going to feel very fast. All part of the illusion. But if we’re talking about how fast the actual physical ride moves around, which you can easily see in the video, then yeah it’s slow. Does this matter much? Probably not as long as you’ve got your headset on. But all I’m saying is that the people who say the ride is slow are not “wrong.”
I see a lot of people critiquing the ride because it isn’t a fast paced ride like the game is. I enjoy roller coasters more than these ride-along types of rides, so I complete understand the criticism. However I assume most people haven’t been to USJ or even Japan at all. it’s easy to tell if you look at a map, but USJ is literally on a small section on the coast of Osaka, and there’s literally no space to put a big ride. If they really wanted to make a real racing-type ride like radiator springs in California, they would’ve had to sacrifice the entire Mario section for that one ride. Additionally, one aspect that makes Mario Kart so fun and unique is using items in a racing game. If you wanted to ride a fast thriller rollercoaster, you could go anywhere in the world. However this AR experience is what makes this ride unique p, which could only be achieved through this type of ride. Overall I think the ride looks great and I’m glad it was built this way.
I had no clue what this ride was going to be like and I have to say Im a little bummed that its not actual go-kart racing. I can see how that could be difficult, but this still looks AWESOME
Man I am just blown away with the details bowsers castle has, to the changing room, the library, to the introduction hall with Lakitu giving instructions just screams Disney magic. I truly hope I get to experience this in person soon!
Hello, youre friendly neighborhood Mario Nerd here. Almost every soundtrack in snw is a remix. Here are all the remixes in this video in order of apperance: 1. The first one is hard to make out, but i think its the Castle theme from Super Mario 3D World 2. The second one is a bit better to hear. Its the Castle Theme from New Super Mario Bros Wii, 2 and U. 3. I am not entirerly sure about the third one, but it sounds like a remix of World Bowser in Super Mario 3D World. 4. Now Comes the first Mario Kart track remix. Its a remix of the Mario Kart 8 version of N64 Toads Turnpike. 5. The next one is hard to make out at first, but its a remix of Neo Bowser City from Mario Kart 7 and 8. 6. You can hear a little bit of the Castle Theme from Super Mario World. 7. Right after that you can hear the music of Ghostly Galaxy from Super Mario Galaxy. It was also used for the Ghost Houses in Super Mario 3D Land and Super Mario 3D World. 8. The next one is real hard to pin point, but i believe its the Volcano Theme von New Super Mario Bros Wii, 2 and U. 9. This one is easy. Its a Remix of the Mario Kart TV Theme from Mario Kart 8. 10. The next one is a remix of Electrodrome from Mario Kart 8. 11. This one is Bowsers Castle from Mario Kart Wii. 12. This is a remix of the Course Introduction Theme from Mario Kart 8. 13. The next one is Bowsers Castle from Mario Kart 8. 14. The next few ones i have no idea what they could be, but based on the setting i believe they are Piranha Plant Slide from Mario Kart 7 and 8 and in the underwater section maybe Dolphin Shoals from Mario Kart 8. 15. The one after the Dry Fish Bones is Twisted Mansion from Mario Kart 8. 16. You can hear Cloudtop Cruise from Mario Kart 8 for a little bit. 17. In the volcano section before bowser i have no idea what it could be, but i guess it could be Grumble Volcano from Mario Kart Wii and 8. 18. Next is probably Bowsers Castle from Mario Kart 8 again. 19. This one is the Star theme from Mario Kart Wii. 20. The next one is a Remix of the Mario Kart 8 version of N64 Rainbow Road. 21. The last one after the universal Jingle is a remix of Mario Kart Stadium from Mario Kart 8.
The first is indeed the Castle Theme from 3D World ("Bowser's Lava Lake Keep"). The third one is a remix of "A Boss Approaches" from 3D World (which is based on Bowser's Theme from the same game). The fourth one is actually part of the "Neo Bowser City" remix from Mario Kart 7 (but it shares a motif with "Toad's Turnpike" from MK64). Oh and the Ghost Level theme from Galaxy ("Waltz of the Boos") wasn't used in 3D World (in 3D World, the Ghost Level theme is "Shifty Boo Mansion" and has a similar instrumentation but not the same melody at all).
2:07 The version of Neo Bowser City that plays here sounds different than the mix that's used in MK7 and MK8. Does anyone know if it's been used anywhere else, or if there's a way to listen to a high quality version of it?
honestly as someone who's afraid of thrill rides i don't mind this being slow, like yeah it kinda defeats the whole racing thing but at least i won't be scared riding it lol
As someone who has been part of studies related to AR tech I'm actually really impressed ANY of it was able to be captured so well with a smartphone. Admittedly I'm a bit disappointed this ride isnt faster paced or more "grand" but tough to judge with a video. I'll still go whenever Japan opens back up so I dont care either way.
The shakyness of the camera is understandable knowimg that the AR goggles are being held up to the camera lens. It might look like absolute trash in the video, but there's an extremely high chance that once you are physically wearing the goggles, that the AR will look way more realistic than it does in a POV RUclips video. Just my thoughts though.
Im glad someone uploaded this, I was curious to what the AR was like. I know it’s definitely not the same as experiencing it first hand and the quality isn’t as good as it would be in person but I love seeing what I can expect ❤️ this definitely on my bucket list 😍
The queue line experience was AMAZING in this video and I'm glad I got to see it. But like, I was expecting a ride that seemed more like a race rather than a slow ride with a lot of items being shown on the screen at once. I was honestly expecting something like Escape from Gringots with that thrill level and movement (since this is in a Universal park). The advertising made it seem like it was more like a roller coaster. I will still ride it when this opens up in the US down in Orlando, but it's not a primary on my bucketlist.

Either they thought the Mario Kart ride was going to be their most popular attraction, or they really wanted to show off what the inside of Bowser’s Castle looks like when the family goes Karting. Either way, love the details and how the castle itself can expand out even further beyond what we saw.
Question: do the seats/cars vibrate like you.would on a track? & Are there fans to make it feel faster? Cause there's not a lot that I'm seeing (other than rainbow road) that really sells the perception of motion very well.
People judging the ride from this video don’t seem to be acknowledging that the AR is in full 3D and, if successful, will create the illusion of practical elements doing impossible things right in front of you. It really depends on how good the 3D and head tracking is, which of course we can’t know from the video. The one thing that really weirds me out is: sitting in the back row, at the beginning 16:08 you can see the AR characters ON TOP of the people in the front row of the ride vehicle. Will the AR completely blind you from seeing the front row passengers? I assume the 3D depth illusion in this moment will place the AR characters in front of the whole car, despite it being layered on top of passengers sitting right in front of you. Idk if I articulated this well; does this make sense to anyone??
I read that the back row is raised, like stadium seating. The only way the illusion would break is if you purposely looked down, which would break the illusion of all the other rides at universal so It'll be fine
You know what? Considering there's "realistic" interactive versions of Mario, Luigi, Toad and Peach, there should DEFINITELY a participation of Bowser as a guest! Imagine him speaking with the guests, throwing some "chaotic" funsies :v

I do agree that they probably should've marketed it differently as the marketing made it seem like it was gonna be a fast ride however I can understand the practical reason for keeping it a slow moving ride:
1) They had to make the ride fairly accessible to young(ish) children.
I live in Japan and visited last week!
The actual ride is really awesome!
The AR and the set meshes wonderfully, and here was my ideal Mario Kart!

(Knowing the lines would be long enough to take too much time from other attractions, if going for multiple trips)
The models and in-jokes leading up to the ride are great.
10:40 The Miis make their comeback!
Let's just say people had high expectations for this ride ever since it was announced
It’s because they took the main element of MK, and made it non existent, there’s no racing, you’re barely moving 3mph. The ride LOOKS cool but it’s just filled with screens and doesn’t feel like anything is actually happening.

Actually, come to think of it....perhaps the main reason they chose to have it at a fixed speed would be because of the augmented reality functionality! If we were to move too fast, it wouldnt focus properly enough to work, making it useless for the ride

0:50 Oh my GOD, that is such a sick rendition of World Bowser. I hope we get full clean audio shortly after the park opens!!
You can’t base the ride off of what you see here everyone. There is way to much technology with the ar being the main focus. Why do you think that universal or Nintendo themselves haven’t showed any of it. Judging how strict Nintendo is about stuff, the ride would have to work out.
You're making a lot of assumptions
@@exiledrabbit There is an article of a Universal engineer stating how many drafts they went through the ride and how Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of Mario, was unimpressed with all of them and kept on adding more and more stuff. I love Bowser's guide to solving problems lol
Because "King Koopa" is Bowser's name in Japan, dummy?
Tl;Dr
First world problems. The complaining.
They’ll update it I’m sure
They've already updated the screens and projection on their Forbidden Journey ride, so I should think they'd update this tech as it improves

you could still go
I’ve been on AR rides like this before, and it was a ton of fun.
Also, I’ve seen several comments saying that this is “primarily geared towards kids, so what were you really expecting?”
I disagree with the notion that rides for younger kids cannot be more intense.
But all I’m saying is that the people who say the ride is slow are not “wrong.”
kinda hope they fix this when the bring in to orlando and hollywood
@@Dylan_0130 no it's gonna be the same ride.
7:07, 7:12 = Looks like somebody isn’t getting a parent of the year award.

I love Super Nintendo World so much! Especially Koopa Challenge.
I always thought it was a high speed thrill attraction like Cars, but it looks closer to Buzz Light Years attraction
2:07 The version of Neo Bowser City that plays here sounds different than the mix that's used in MK7 and MK8. Does anyone know if it's been used anywhere else, or if there's a way to listen to a high quality version of it?
19:47 I love that homage to Jerry Goldsmith’s Universal fanfare.
Team Mario did just win the Universal Cup at that point so it's very fitting.
@@ThemeParkDaze
Depending on your playing, Team Bowser or you(riding guests) can win the Cup as well.
@@hir0gaming808 that’s awesome that it is dynamic like that.
WOW the technology that goes into making this ride is AMAZING!!!
The AR will look so much better in person, considering the fact that the camera was filming out of 1 lense only
Most impressive! It looks to be a most immersive experience! How the game interacts with the real-life props is quite clever!
Once the pandemic winds down, I hope to experience this for myself. Going through all these tracks must be quite the experience for sure.
Doesnt really matter if its slow, it looks AWESOME!
honestly as someone who's afraid of thrill rides i don't mind this being slow, like yeah it kinda defeats the whole racing thing but at least i won't be scared riding it lol
Yeah same. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to ride it because my stomach can not take thrill rides.
I couldn't agree more lol
I think you'll be so occupied in seeing all the ar thinks that it would fell faster for u
this uses ar so going really fast will break it idk
6:25 The plans for MK8's Rainbow Road. Cool!
クッパ城の中を歩いてる時点でもう感動してる
IVE BEEN WAITING 3 YEARS FOR THIS MOMENT
1:37 cool remix of "a boss approaches"
I’m glad someone else noticed
Started crying when it reached the Rainbow Road section. So excited for this!
I absolutely love this! But it does appear to be set on 50cc
More like -50cc
Ooh I hope they have different cc’s later on
19:47 that Mario transition from VR to wall display is insane
The fact that they combined reality and the virtual world in this ride is impressive
Agree, should’ve been more like Rock’n’Roller Coaster.
Some fantastic choices of music for the queue, as well.
It’s still amazing that they took 6 years to make the ride we’ve all been waiting for
Yes 6 years to a modified Clone of Men in Black
@@aquapyro1 Lol did you ride it? Probably not.
And I don't think you appreciate how much of a game changer AR is...
Go ride it before making claims like this
@@aquapyro1 Because you cannot record the vision of your eye stupid people. The whole experience of it is like playing on vr but instead make it ar. Just experience the damn of it
This is amazing! I love Mario Kart and I never thought something like this was possible. I can't wait to ride this one day!
That is some serious attention to detail. The books in the library are hilarious! 😄
Idk what people are whining about, this is literally real life Mario Kart plus buzz light year it’s the coolest thing I’ve ever ridden
Either they thought the Mario Kart ride was going to be their most popular attraction, or they really wanted to show off what the inside of Bowser’s Castle looks like when the family goes Karting.
Either way, love the details and how the castle itself can expand out even further beyond what we saw.
I had a big smile on my face throughout the whole video! I’m a huge Mario fan and seeing all of these is like a dream come true! 😄
So creepy everyone walks around wearing a mask. It’s like buying a chain link fence to keep mosquitoes out.
Question: do the seats/cars vibrate like you.would on a track? & Are there fans to make it feel faster?
Cause there's not a lot that I'm seeing (other than rainbow road) that really sells the perception of motion very well.
yes and yes
@@GamesTutorialsandBeyond you rode it?
@@AmusementLabs yeah, it's pretty neat. It definitely is a new take on Mario Kart that differs from the speedy fight for first place.
This looks SO COOL! I did not think it was going to have much physical props.
