Lars Ulrich- Drums James Hetfield- Vocals & rhythm guitar are the founder's of Metallica '81 Kirk Hammett- Lead guitar- since '83 And the bassist for this time period Jason Newsted Just a masterpiece of a song. I've never met anyone who dislikes this song. No matter their favorite genre. 💙👊🤘💜
Lead singer James wrote this and was scared to show his band mates cause it was soft rock .. they loved it .. in my opinion one of the best songs ever written !! Elton John and Miley Cyrus just redid it on Metallica’s new album .. Elton says it’s one of the best songs ever written ! That’s pretty cool .. he also said they were the best band ever !!
I still get goosebumps watching people react to this song for their first time; especially leading into the Jame's guitar solo. Nice reaction; thanks for spreading your joy to the world!
hey welcome to the metallica family! in case you havent heard: Fade To Black, For Whom the Bells Tolls, Hit The Lights (Hit the Lights is probably the highest energy song they have with a 1 minute and a half guitar solo at 300mph), and many more man, just listen to all their albums!
Elton John told James Hetfield, the lead singer, that this is the best song ever written, and James literally started crying. I'll never forget when this song came out in early 1992, I was 15 years old, and it still sounds clean and clear like if it came out today.
Watch Enter Sandman or Creeping Death live from Moscow 1991. Massive performance, totally insane. Faultless in my eyes. I'll never get old watching that. Nothing else matters to me is one of their best and cleanest sounding songs. You can hear every little note from every instrument.
I'm not sure if you know this fun fact I found out about, but just in case, Geoff, the bass guy, holds two world records. One for the lowest note ever sang and the other one is holding the note for at least six seconds ( I think is what it said.) He is awesome. Geoff also arranged this song.
No Leaf Clover by Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra is a must friend if you haven't already. It's so amazing and I believe you will love it! Great reaction friend 🤘
Metallica had a special gift that let the drumming sound come out super powerful in their music. A lot of rock music the drums get overshadowed, but Metallica let the drums be a huge part of their music. Just great music all around
Another of my top favorite songs of all time. I've listened to it literally thousands of times over the decades since it came out and it still hits me in the feels every single time.
I love ur channel and the peeps who watch it and do these awesome recommendations of all different genres. Its a blast. Lots of peeps with excellent music taste.
You should definitely check out some songs from their S&M album. It’s an absolute genius blend of symphony and metal. I can listen to it beginning to end, and want more. “No leaf clover” is probably the first you should check out, as it’s an original to the album.
There's no piano here , it's James and Kirk on the guitars in the beginning.James Hetfield is singing. Great song that sounds as good now as it did in the 90's when it was released.
Hey this imo was Metallica reaching out to the world and letting the fans know they are doing what they feel like and nothing else mattered at that point in life. James's addiction to alcohol and losing cliff, their former bassist took him in a direction that was reaching out to a larger audience for the sake of bringing more fans to the genre of metal. Almost sacrificial in the sense alot of fans said they were softer. That never mattered. Nothing else. Like them, hate them, they represent the genre WORLDWIDE and took their music on a rock journey then back to their roots in death magnetic. They are unique. Not hateful. Most metal bands aren't. Slayer has done charities for fks sake! We aren't different. You are a man like me. The respect you show made me listen to some hip hop and even some rap just to understand the message and understand the culture. It's all that will repair the damage that generations of hate for one another has dealt us. Just know I respect you. For respecting a genre that reflects my lifestyle with honor and honesty. I now will do same. That's what fixes lives
I’ve been avoiding as much as humanly possible listening to this song at all costs since January 31, 2011. My late husband took his life on that day and this was our song. We were married for 12 years. It’s such a beautiful masterpiece. Thank you for such a great reaction to a song that holds a lot of emotion and meaning to me even though you didn’t know it.
You said you felt like you were watching live in the studio....you are...this is part of the filming of them in the studio recording the Black album!!!🤘🤘🤘🎶🎼🎵🥁🎧🎸
The lead singer is James Hetfield, he and the drummer Lars Ulrich are the only remaining original members, I can't remember the new bassists name but he was originally the bassist for "Suicidal Tendency " and I'm not sure who's on lead guitar anymore since Kirk Hemmet left the band.
Yep, this was one of their biggest hits, tho Metallica had a ton of bangers - you can’t go wrong with their early work. Btw, just wondering, are you planning on doing any more BeeGees reactions? There are still a ton of their hit songs to react to like ‘Tragedy’ (audio only please, you have to hear it this way, trust me), ‘Fanny (be tender with my love)’ (music video), ‘Love You Inside Out’ (audio), ‘You Win Again’ (music video), ‘Alone’ (music video). I really love your BeeGees reactions ❤️
I got into Metallica in late '84 and I knew when I heard this album and the direction they were going that it would likely be the last album I bought from them, but even I can admit, the production on this album was amazing.
Another great video. This is one of my favorites by Metallica. This was one the biggest hits of that Era. In the last few weeks the great Elton John said this was one of the best songs of all time. Enough said. Keep up the great work.
Got a request... The Hu "Wolf Totem" It's a band from Mongolia and you won't understand the words but it has an amazing tribal vibe to it. I just bought their album The Gereg and the whole thing is 🔥
This song IS a masterpiece. Sir Elton John said Nothing Else Matters was “one of the best songs ever written.” Direct quote. Timeless classic.

Elton John said this was one of the most beautiful melodies he’s heard when he did a remake of it. It brought Hetfield almost to tears
Very cool to know have you seen them with the philharmonic can't remember what city. Brutal!!!😎👍☮️
I have to hear Elton john's version. He can really jam on almost anything.

One of the best songs ever!! And also listen to the song "One" by Metallica. I would love to see your reaction.

Love Metallica! Who’s the oldest hippie here? I’m 70 years old and I’ll never stop rockin’. Thanks for bringing back the music I grew up with! 👵🏼☮️❤️🌻
There is a all female choir cover of this by Scala and Kolinsky(?). There is a video of it. Its haunting!
