Bathroom Framing & Setting Out. A job for a carpenter

  • Bathroom framing and setting out is a job for a carpenter. As a carpenter I have been involved in so many projects that rely on me as a carpenter to set out and provide the framing and woodwork to make all the fixtures and fittings that a modern bathroom requires. In this video I talk about the process that I do and also make some framing to house some of the components specified
This was Ed's first couple of days work experience with me also!!

Concealed cisterns and wall hung thrones seem to b all the rage now what we do is to put all the frame panels on split battens makes everything easily accessible for future works (cistern changes or leaks ) having full access to the services r a must I’ve been on other jobs where this hasn’t been done it’s a nightmare if anything goes wrong out of site which it sometimes does ie flush and waste pipe connections ur better off building good access in from the start

Next year I was planning to install a power shower and wanted to site all the pipework in the wall, which means chasing the wall out to accommodate all the pipes. However watching this, you built a wooden frame in front of the pipes which attach directly to the wall and the frame covers what you done. What a fantastic idea you have given me. I think I can make it work by building a complete floor to celling frame hiding all the pipework. Should this not workout is there any reason why you can't bury copper pipe into a cemented wall ?

    • @cannontrodder
