Naval Boot Camp Ep. 1 | World of Warships: Legends Beginner's Guide for Battleships

Welcome to Episode 1 of Naval Boot Camp. We begin this series with the first installment in a 7 part guide series on battleships. This episode is geared toward beginners who are taking their first steps into battleship gameplay. I feature the Tier III Russian battleship Gangut in this guide. Gangut is the most well-armored battleship at Tier III. We will use this to our advantage as we learn the basics of staying alive -- an essential skill for all new battleship players to master.

It’s also worth mentioning, if you’re ever the last one alive and the enemy only has destroyers left or it’s inevitable that you’ll face a destroyer, switch to HE, you will do tremendously more damage to exclusively destroyers

loving this. long form xarkun is great. three things i have real issues explaining to people, especially CoD refugees:
- concealment, "team vision"/how sighting for teammates works
- overmatch vs overpen
- duck flags

Does the magic number apply to all ship types?

Yes. It applies to AP of all ship types. Some heavy cruisers can overmatch other cruisers, for example. Cheshire with its bigger guns has some overmatch capabilities.
