I think Louis Violette as captain fits very well with this ship line, but I am not satisfied with the selectable skills in the 4th row. I wish you could select the “armored weapons” skill there. Furthermore, i wonder why this DD line is not given the consumable “improved air defense” after a certain tech level? That would make a lot of sense for DDs without fog.

I don't agree with Xarkun that the Kleber is one of the best if not the best DD at Legendary Tier...i think that title belongs to the Daring or perhaps the Z-52 right now, but not the Kleber, especially since that infamous nerf by Wargaming which effectively nerfed the Kleber from the Legendary Rock Star it once was, into the New Age Jazz musician it became roughly 3 years ago, which is fantastic if you like elevator music. Granted, it's my opinion that the Kleber has a higher skill requirement than its contemporaries, and I can freely admit that Xarkun's abilities thoroughly out rank mine, hence he can say that he thinks the Kleber is better if not the best DD at Legendary Tier, because he's more than capable of playing it that way, of which I must give him the well-earned credit that he deserves for being able to do that at a higher level in the first place. Am I jealous a wee bit? Yes. Which is why the day shall come when Xarkun and myself will settle this with a lightsaber duel, but until that day arrives.... I'd much rather have smoke and at least 8 km's on my torpeedies, but that's just me. 😜

Biggest problem I have is maxing out my AA and never seeing a carrier. Adjust a commander or module and all of a sudden they’re everywhere.

Kleber is strong but you need a game like this. French DDs are very weak in the carrier era no smoke no AA.

Why do you use both Quick Fix and Unstoppable?

As a player who has been playing for nearly 5 years on every ship type, the rock/paper/scissors was well balanced before the update. The problem was dd player didn’t understand how to adjust to a cv in the game. The small act of turning off aa makes a huge difference the concealment from aircraft. I agree that most cv players would sit at the back of the map trying hard to risk nothing, but most have horrible concealment and are easily picked off by any ship. They cannot brawl, have no manueverability, and are effectively unable to fire and turn if being pursued by superior firepower. In many ways, they are like a bb with unlimited and targeted radar. If you take away the spotting from cvs, it should by horse for course, so that all ships have it taken away. Then you have to think smart about hiding and concealment.

Glad you made a Kleber vid. I just unlocked it recently. I think the advice you gave regarding the detection circle to determine where the enemy destroyed was is crucial for newer players to understand. This also works well for cruisers and battleships that are approaching or contesting caps. As long as your detection circle keeps out of range from the enemies side of the cap, you're unlikely to be spotted, but only if caps are not being contested, or if an enemy destroyed goes between two caps into your detection range. It really need a dedicated video to explain all the nuances. Who would make that video, Xarkun ?🤔 Your video content is much appreciated.🫡

Kleber is a great ship from what I heard but there's nothing satisfying than throwing out 15 different and difficult problems at the enemy. Lol

@xarkun played you last night and I've been off the game for a year and the second game on I faced you in kleber I didn't realize that was a small cruiser lol. I was in the des moi that you about took out and a random Shima torp got you after our fun fight

I've been using this ship for hunting CVs. I can usually kill it before the 10 minute mark. I'm 5 for 5 games with this strategy. Top of the team each time. Such a good ship, shame about the torp range and Go All out nerf. Now that there are more radar cruisers and such, maybe they will revert the nerfs . . . ?

I hate pluggers & afk players. Both wasting ppl time. Plugging shouldnt be allowed(even in fighting/race games), and afk in the beginning match should get the countdown auto boot/self-destruct.

Best non-review you’ve done! And good game to you and the Lushan. I’m one of the three people that purchased the whole Haida package. I had on day of release, thought the Assignment with Commander crate would have been a dedicated Commander for this ship, which would have made the deal worth it, for me anyway. Would have also had been nice to have released a Canadian flag along with the Commonwealth flag that came with it. I’ll have to hope the Epic Boosters pays off in my grind to ease the pain.

A few problems with this ship. Obviously one is the lack of DD commanders selection. The other is this ship came very late in our game and farther into the power creep and a tier higher than PC. T7 in our game is so stacked with great premium DDs like Somers, literally a T10 on PC with pretty much no changes. To top it off they release it the same week they jack up CVs when it has no AA even know WG punishes tribal tribal class DDs with garbage firing angles and one less turret in lieu of "better AA" in the form of an AA mount. I still like it but it honestly feels like needs some love. Maybe a good DD commander could help it.

Currently pushing hard from the start of a game will work well if there's enough support. Most people are too cautious and will run for cover, especially at the higher tiers.

Extremely fun ship to play, except for the armor, and the airstrike is kinda hard to aim and is wildly inconsistent. Also, what is that DC reload time!?! Its so incredibly long for a cruiser

So, I actually saw this ship this last Saturday, and right before World Of Warships: Legends' D-day Live Stream. HMCS Haida is LARGER THAN LIFE in person. If Elbing was a real ship, Haida would be it, she's VERY big for a Destroyer. She, to us Canadians, means as much to us as the Iowa Class Battleships to the USA, or the HMS Hood to the British. As for builds, I would rather recommend Murray (Of course) while running Charles Madden and William Sims. This will buff your HP, Reload, and Turning of your guns. Combine this with Haida's Stealth, and she becomes a Tanky, Fast, Sneaky Gunboat. Overall, Haida may not be the best RIGHT NOW, but I have no doubt this ship is still fun. I may be a BB player so I've got some DD 101 to learn, but I'll be playing Haida for EONS to come.

Atlantico + one of the strongest f2p dedicated commanders >>> Haida + zero dedicated commander. What is actually embarrassing is that WG could have significantly increased sales by releasing a dedicated commander. Unless they're entirely incompetent, I guarantee them releasing a commander the next time Haida goes on sale. The real problem is that the Tribal class is a mediocre platform at best, with horrible gun and torp angles, and 1/4 speed crawling smoke as the worst type of smoke in the game.

How is this ship ANY differnet then the Cossack at tier VI?

I’m still not sure what this ship offers above the Lightning. Very sad to see “X” gun mount replaced by a useless secondary. 6 guns with comparable reload to Lightning…but let’s give up a torpedo mount…well, you know…just because… Sad treatment for our Canadian friends, who were really looking forward to this ship.

Haida.... Hmmm...i think I'll stick with my Shimakaze because I absolutely love giving enemy ships 15 different and difficult things to think about. 😀

I like these capture the basis because most people don’t read the damn caption and play it like domination which means the game is really fast because they don’t defend our base. I drive in a destroyer pop smoke 2 1/2 minutes later games over.

It is an incredibly difficult ship to do well in. But I am enjoying the heck out of her.

Good stuff, but keep your dpm up on cruisers 13:28 - 13:50 no guns firing would be the missing link on the victory.

Until they nerf hanger regen rates, and restore the catapult fighter back to its pre-update strength, this game is FUKT Also, that Asashio player shoulda been well on his way outta proximity to the impending belfasts well before the carrier died. Loss is on him dying
