This ship can reach 10,2km secondaries with a bb Commander, its son fun have 100 secondary hits with a cruiser
Got D'Kyr from a crate but this is the one I was hoping for. Played correctly (as showcased here) it's quite strong, but the ones I've faced so far have been played incorrectly. Many players don't realize what they have with this armor scheme and show ya dem broadsides. Thanks for showcasing the Bortas, enjoyed watching👍🖖
They dressed up a T7 cruiser in a Klingon skin and dropped it in T6. Yeah, it's cracked.

If you want to be truly evil with this run al cheshire who makes all incoming ap shells have 7° less pen angles.
I was lucky enough to get the ship in one of the gxp/credits crates and play it with Madden just for laughs. Good times. Super OP.
It's not evil per se. But it is a beast.
Also in the Legends stream I asked whether Q had anything to do with the armour on the Bortas.
That may be the only explanation
Pulled the ship and matching commander from the two free crates, fancy that! Probably the most fun thing in this game :) I don't have many commander resources to spare, so made Gowron only 7/1 for now, with von Hipper as inspiration. Concealment is 9.9 km, but secondaries reach 8.9 km. Every match is a blast! And the gun sounds, my God, those gun sounds! They make it even better!
Yeah, this might be the best (and by best I mean probably broken and OP) collaboration ship they’ve ever designed. When I first saw it, I actually said “what the f***” out loud.

@@darrellbruce3212 with secondary guns mod in the first slot and German BB commander von Hipper as inspiration
@sauluxville I did the same and I only got 8.2 , also I only have hipper to 7 so you may have yours much higher maybe that's why?

to unlock the power of true evil you need a compatriot, and the following build, fortified, full speed ahead, sponge, fixated and by the book, act like a conjoined twin and watch the tiny incoming dmg numbers

I had the D’Kyr drop in one crate, kinda surprised. It must be a science vessel because I can’t seem to hit anything with the guns. Looks cool though.
That ship looks Romulan not Klingon.... And yes i probably spelled Romulan wrong 🤣
I have no idea. All I know is it has the Klingon flag, and I only know that because that’s what the game says. I know nothing of Star Trek lore.
Romulans and Klingons have similar ships.
Had it in the second "free"crate (the one for GXP) its awsome brawler. Crawling smoke wouldve fitted the stealthiness of the klingon Bird of Prey, better than the armour, imo. Hipper VII would love it.
By the way, thar Nelson did everything wrong possible, sums up the playerbase i experienced lately...
I normally don't buy ships but this might be an exception...my favorite ship in the game Edinburgh now has a little cousin...I will probably just throw Tenant on their and do my combo stealth/agile build....only thing is..man that skin is super ugly....never got into the whole Startrek thing but I digress...thanks for the great review.
I knew it was busted the moment the patch went live and I saw the armor scheme. I wasn't going to buy it, but I pushed my luck on a 12k dub 10+1 pack and pulled both ships as well as the Enty skin. After playing a few games, I think it's balanced by the fact that it needs to show its exposed citadel any time it wants to fire all 4 turrets or its torps -- and when it does that, its slow rudder leaves it vulnerable for way too long. If it had larger and slower reloading guns, it would spend less time exposing its sides. A quick and agile build might be ideal, as 205mm HE still deletes your Bortas as if it had no armor... I've tried a 10km secondary build but yeah the fire chance is way too low. I'm going to put more time into an AL Cheshire tank build as well as a VII Hipper agile special and see what works best.
When I saw the armor scheme last night, I literally said “wtf?!” out loud. Nic came in here and asked when I was on about. This thing is nuts. And as for the alternate builds, probably anything you want to do would be fine on this thing.

Try him as an inspiration in Schroder using bismark as captain with her reduced damage perk.
Edit; be a great inspiration on most German BB's. Unless his trait specifies cruiser damage reduction.
I will maybe test that as some point. Schröder is the only cruiser I can think of that would benefit from this guy’s base trait.

Yeah that armor is broken as fuck for T6. Fiji is already a very strong ship at the tier

The update is less boring than I expected. And no, I don’t think they’re changing what the hybrids or Enterprise drop. I think if they release the Kearsarge, which is a premium hybrid on PC, then maybe that’ll drop HE bombs.

The Klingon guy. You could probably use anyone and do just fine, but the Klingon guy is clearly designed for this ship specially.

Yep, pretty much. I don’t think the secondaries are super effective, but they are an amusing anomaly.

Last ship I purchased was Salem. I will never buy another ship. After enough people buy this they will break it.
I would not be surprised if this thing got nerfed. 30mm armor plating and super heat on a T6 light cruiser is kind of insane.
I don’t care for these ships that look so Stupid it hurts the eyes, if I ever won one of them I would sell it so fast regardless of how good it is, it’s in the wrong game!
