  • I found my way back home and here it finally is, the Suzuki GSX R1000R 2019 review you've all been waiting for.
What an absolute beauty she is, the Suzuki GSX-R1000R is the cream of the Gixxer 1000 crop with a stonking 202bhp and 117 Nm of torque. The new VVT engine delivers incredible power all through the rev range, and the unmistakable GSXR howl is there for all to hear.
I loved this bike, and a huge shout out to Haslemere Motorcycles for allowing me to take out one of the bikes for the test ride - www.haslemeremotorcycles.co.uk

Lack of self control with speed is exacly why I sold my beloved GSXR! It's so hard to keep to the speed limit with one of this! Well one court case later (I managed to safe my licence) I knew I had to say goodbye. Now I'm a happy Moto Guzzi Audace 1400 owner and I love it! There's enough tourqe and acceleration in the Big Twin to keep my chuckling like a little boy but the fun stops at 130 and in all fairness it's the pull from 20-80 that is where the fun is for me now. Would I liked to keep my GSXR ovuisly would I had lost my licence on it definitely.. Grate vidoe keep up the good work Mr T

My last bike was a 2002 GSXR1000K2. I sold it 12 years ago. I had lots of bikes over the years and this was my favourite. More than enough power and handling for my abilities. I miss it, but I don't think I would be here today if I kept it. I was taking too many chances. That was the end of my 25 years of riding. The roads are just too dangerous for bikes. I had my fair share of accidents, one almost fatal. I just get my hit watching RUclips videos these days!

See people say sport bikes are bad because they encourage fast riding, but naked bikes are just as bad for hooligan antics. Shit loads of torque makes them wheelie machines, and they’re comfortable! I’m definitely a sport guy myself
Seems you have to control the urge to do anything naughty on just about any machine 😂

Absolutely true Sam, almost any bike over the last 10 years is more than capable of stupid speeds with general ease.
We just have to exercise self-control - easier said than done though eh 😉🤣👍

Ive watched loads of revews on sportsbikes over the past few years and im still not sold wiith the silly BHP they are putting in bikes today. i mean a RR bike thats 202BHP and also limited and restricted. i mean i cant see the actual point of it and the £16,500 price tag. It would be like buying a 500BHP Ferrari thats limited and resticted to 170mph.. i currently ride a 1998 blackbird and givin the fact its 21yrs old, 157Bhp at 180+mph its hardly a slow bike and keeps up with modern bikes easy, the Hayabusa in 1999 was 178BHP at 204MPH. so im still not convinced wth theses high BHP limted restricted bikes? im sure a 1999 R1, GSXR, CBR would still outride the modern GSXR???

Massive improvements in handling, suspension, brakes, traction control, ABS lean sensitive etc. The Blackbird doesn't have any of this. It's a very capable bike but old school and heavy.
