Thank you

Those Gilles rearsets, though... I'm actually thinking about ordering them and displaying them like a sculpture.
"What's that in the living room, honey?"
"It's art".
That is awesome adjustment at 6:48 Thanks for your video showing us how easily they adjust. I think Gilles got it correct because you don't have to mess with longer or shorter linkage rods for adjusting :)
I bought a 2018 gsxr 1000R in white. Absolutely amazing machine. I really like these rear sets. I like the stock feel but these look so good. Awesome video. Thanks
Gilles rearsets. I live vicariously through your wallet. Thank you for showing the range of the adjustability, just amazing!
Rear sets will be my first mod for comfort.
Rear sets look great, love the adjustability! Great video...
A thing of beauty. And the GSXR. ; ) You'll have to do a total spend, weight saving & power gain analysis when you're done. Although the spend bit might make you feel a bit poorly lol. Just don't let your Mrs see that part. Although interestingly my wife often says I could do with an extended bobbin though.
Yes good idea RR, like you say its not going to be cheap!!
Yeah those Gilles would look great on my KTM Super Duke GT. Wonder if they make them in orange🤔
Looking well Mr Chops, even Captain America is impressed 😁
Lovely production quality mate, great video. Really would love some of these rearsets at some point!
LCR, perhaps worth mentioning when I replaced the bolts on the front discs on my GS, I was told (by Keith Shaw stainless steel) to use a heat gun/hair dryer before trying to get them out. If you don't, (due to the BMW Loctite) you risk stripping out the alloy with no possibility of going up a bolt size as it weakens the web too much, then its a new wheel my friend😱😜😯. Nice kit there, make the bike look great. Thanks for sharing. A82. Joe.
Good tip Joe!
Choppin it up as usual, in a good way! Your mods and add ins are always top notch and tasteful ass well as useful. Keep bringing that sweet sweet BLING baby.
haha thanks Jason :-)
Brilliant again mate bikes looking stunning.look forward to seeing the German trip 👍
Thanks Mark
@@LambChopRides Just don't forget to go across, not down ;)
Just got around to adjusting the rear-sets on my MT07 this week. Went to the local mountain roads yesterday and couldn't beleive how much of a difference it made. Even shifting time was improved. Have a look at my channel if you get a moment. Just watched you in the Schaaf video too. Great stuff as always!
you make me want to buy another GSXR 1000
that gold stuff is the ghey, but to each his own. Your channel is top notch.
I hope the chain video is coming, I see you've fitted it already, she's looking great mate :)
Those rearsets are gourgeous!
Top notch 👍 bling-bling parts🤩 They fit nicely on Suzie👌
Loving the bike chops!! Making me jealous :)
Thanks buddy
Just thinking about your up coming tour, how will the GSXR seat treat you as the Super Duke was a little hard - not that you complained much... I have just got my seat back from Else Made (Likeable Rider rates it - can I mention him on your channel?) who have put a gel pad in the stock seat. It is meant to really help and does not alter the looks of the seat. Might be worth investigating. It seems to be really good, but I as have yet to do any distance on it. Either way, enjoy the bike and the tour.
Controls are the most important. It should fit on feed and hand on point! Look at the superb range for modification those gilles have :). I am used to it from mtb riding. Cockpit needs to be accurate. But well, it is expensive shit for motorcycles. BTW: still working on my translogic system on mt09 sp to optimize it... But it already feels pretty nice... Cheers chops 💪
Good afternoon, I love this bike is very good continues with the good work , I would like to see more track days with the GSXR, greetings
Three track days booked already this year, first one in 2 weeks but they dont allow cameras on track which is a shame. But have a two day booked for Snetterton in July
@@LambChopRides Thanks I'm waiting, greetings
Love your torque setting system same as mine tighten up job done
Very nice, them footpegs are droolicious!
Thanks Pete!
Belo custo beneficio tenho uma suzuki rr a 1000 bela máquina mesmo.
Looks great! You do love a bit of gold haha
Thanks Mr Spice :-) indeed I do
Whatup Chops 👍🏻some really nice mods mate. Chops dropping his stamp on the GSXR 🥰
Thanks Adam :-)
Maybe I'm wrong but I have the feeling that the range of adjustability is not that big, especially in the comfort position.
If you lower the peg like in the video, the locking teeth will not match and you won't be able to tighten the screw.
Well spotted Eugenio you are correct sir
Very nice set gixer looks brilliant great job chops .thanks danny
Thanks Danny
Stunning
It's so annoying that manufactures don't build this type of flexibility throughout the bike as standard. Appreciate it may not be the quality of premium aftermarket parts but at least we would have the same flexibility afforded to car drivers as standard.
And just a few years ago zx10r, gsxr1000, rc8r, 999 had more adjustability built in as standard. Gone now. A step backwards.
She’s looking great 👍
Looks quality love abit of colour contrast myself
It's looking good Chops!👌
Thanks Big Mac! 😎
Oh dangit! I have just installed R&G rearsets, I was going to vid it but got too far into it
The R&G are like the Lightech, you have to put a stupid pressure switch in for rearbrake light which really annoyed me. Wish I'd known the Gilles use the spring that would have saved me another hour
I am gold tart too 😉
Very nice!
Mint.
At least you fit your parts unlike 650ib
Dont compare this guy to that guy. Not even in the same league. Lamb build a bike from scratch. Mr. Bib only has a lot of money but lacks personality and motorcycling knowledge. :)
@@bernardcucuz3315 That's the point I was trying to get across.
Yes i know. I agree with your statement. Have a safe ride. 😁
Bernard cucuz I wouldn’t say he
Lacks knowledge, he’s
Just as mechanically inclined as Chops!
Hi mate, new subscriber here! I love the Gixxer 1000, it's missing a TFT dash though, ever considered an mv agusta?
Liberace wants his rearsets back...
Finally a video actually showing Gilles being lowered. Very impressive. Hard to find this info.
It’s a shame Suzuki discontinued the adjustable rearset mounts from the previous model, but good to know there’s an alternative.
Any thoughts of slightly higher clipons?
Quality stuff, thanks Chops! Enjoy the comfort.
Don't forget to adjust the other footpeg...😉😅😅
Looks good
Another great vid! Which thread lock do you use?
Looks mint 👀👍
That gold looks ghetto!!
Surely the position is sort of determined by the size of your foot/boot?
Only the distance between the peg and gear/brake lever, both are adjustable, so there is still a lot of adjustment for personal preference and type of riding you might do on the day.
Mint. Chops.
Me like that Bling. 😎 👍👍👍.
Do you expect to squeeze a few more horsies out of Suzie once you put her on the dyno?
Taking it for remap tomorrow Chris :-)
@@LambChopRides Cool Beans 👍.
Looking good! You not out today ? Suns out
Oh yes I was out :-)
The main complaint of the GSXr is the front brake....for me the first on the list would be replacing the front calipers and master cylinder with something with a bit more performance orientated....any plans to do that?
Love the videos an have no idea how you find the time to do it all...! :)
I consider it rather funny that Suz, after all these years, still have the same brake characteristics as 20 years ago, to the extent that even when using same calipers as their competitors, they still manage to have less braking capability than them
(Either they need to rethink their OEM disks and/or brakepads, my bet is on the pads, because even using Braking and EBC disks over the years, my old K6 750 still only marginally improved its stopping power)
@@Nightdare I think its a cost thing....if you like the bike then the brakes (or lack of them) will be a non issue...just change the brakes. Its like when reviewers review a bike and then complain about the tyres...why...just replace the tyres. One of my bikes is a z1000 (new shape) its a brilliant bike, even better when cash is thrown at it (Brembo HPK's on the front) the brakes are now fucking awesome (and they werent too bad before) :)
Yes agreed not sure why its taken 3 years before they put braided lines and better disks on the bike to sort it out.. Braided lines are a job on the list.. Maybe even a brembo MC
@@LambChopRides Id have expected at least a set of m4's on something like that (not just yours...the current gsxr's in general)...as my dear old dad told me....never skimp on tyres and brakes.
Please buy a torque ratchet. If you have one, use it. I cringed everytime you tightened something up. It looked like you were going to strip it 😱
👍👍
No don't worry Nick I know what I'm doing 😁 much prefer to do it by feel, never stripped anything before. I have two torque wrenches but if they are not calibrated regularly then waste of time and more dangerous than doing it by feel
Fair do's mate, if you know what you're up to I'll view at ease in future 👌👍😂
hehe, now Ive done it havent I! Tempted fate :-)
😂 As long as its recorded and posted 😁 and not a frame thread 😱
When you fettle the bikes as much as you do does it cause much difference when it comes to insurance ??
Not so much these days, companies like MCE dont care about mods providing your not supercharging or turboing the bike. They wont cover the mods of course if the bike is stolen or dropped. They will only pay for standard parts which is fair enough
Beauty 👍
@lambchoprides My bike has sat for an entire winter on a battery tender. I went to start it for a few minutes and pull the levers and check things out. I live in Illinois and it gets bitterly cold here. When I went to pull in the front brake lever, it depressed all the way down to the handle bar. I'm guessing because the front brake has not been used in so long that I may have had a seal dry out. Do you know how to fix this?
Sounds like it needs re-bleeding, could be moisture in the lines perhaps..
@@LambChopRides do you have any informational videos on the process?
MISERSTYLE just search the topic in RUclips or on line
What kind of motorcycle lift is that?
Its the ABBA Skylift
Hi Chops quick question, your helmet audio is very clear. I was wondering what mic you are using, I have a hero 4 the one I have crackles really annoying. Tia.
I use the hero4 also, look in my video description its a sony mic I use and place it in the cheek pad. I will do a video on my gear setup at some point
@@LambChopRides thanks Chops :)
Do any of your friends ride the 2017-Fireblade-SP2 ? Love to that bike compared to the GSX-R
Hi my mate has a 2017 sp2 blade took it to Dyno 171rw bhp man he is gutted. 😂
Yes they are not super powerful the Fireblade, its the same motor from 2008 really! Still a lovely bike but dont buy one to have the fastest liter bike!
@@LambChopRides love that Brock's system mate 😁
Gilles = "Zyeeelz", just an FYI
Nice vid, where did u get your paddock stand? Seen a load online look similar to this some cheap some expensive. Cheers 👍
Looks like an abba stand mate
Keith D the rear stand at the end of the vid?
Oh sorry didn't watch it to the end but that's the same as mine I'll text you later
Keith D thanks pal
@@nivotron960 Thought there might be a name on my stands but there isn't, only I bought both the front and back for £25 pair used ages ago! Mine don't seem expensive stands looking at them but they're identical to lcr and have been great, so I would get one of the £30 to £40 ones off the net mate.
What sort of height/weight are you mate? Nice bike!
6'2 mate and 19 stone, big bugger
👍👍🇨🇦
Gold rear sets on a blue bike 🤢
Along with gold forks, makes sense to me.
