Nice mods. Not sure about cable ties on such a nice hugger. Maybe on a old dog but not this lovely bit of machinery? Can you not bond it on with some back to back without damaging paint if you don't want to drill fixing points on the swingarm.
When you sold the old beasty you said you was done with sports bikes because of the comfort, other than the gixer being a cracking bike, what made you veir away from another naked?
This is way more comfortable than Beasty was and a lovely ride. I would still buy another superduke 2.0 or Tuono in the future but for now going to enjoy a sports bike while my knees can take it 😂
Great video, as always. Modding the GSXR will be interesting and it will be good to see how it stacks up against the Superduke as a 'fun' road bike. Just out of interest, will the PB merger with PS effect what you are doing for them?
Yes I cant wait to try it with the wheels etc, its going to be a real weapon of a bike!! Been told I will still contribute with the new merged mags so very happy about that :-)
Hi there, nice upgrades, are you thinking of fitting a Brembo Rcs master cylinder?, I have along with HEL braided hoses, its now bye bye mushy brakes and hello eye popping brakes! job done!. One hugger you could have tried is made by Lightech, it uses the 2 casting holes on the swingarm to fasten it to the bike, because the holes are underneath, you can not see them when its fitted. Keep up the good work on the Gixer and the quality vids, cheers
Im changing the lines so will see what difference that makes, to be honest mine has the 2018 brakes which are a good improvement anyway over the 2017. But if I need to then RCS will be added too
I fitted an '09-'14 YZF-R1 front master to my GSX-R1000RL8 (as I had done with my L2). It, along with a full Galfer brake line kit (and DP HH+ pads which are personal preference) made all the problems go away. The brakes are as good as any I've ever tried on any motorcycle. The beauty of this is that all you need is the pump, a lever and a lever bolt. Here in the US, I did the whole conversion for ~$100 USD -- not including the CRG lever. Same brake light switch, and identical port location. Except for the Brembo logo on it, you'd mistake it for 100% factory stock.
