    I'm definitely going to fit titanium bolts on mine now, I need the 400g weight saving. Of course I'm 20lbs overweight and I could simply take a proper dump before riding, but hey, titanium is cool, titanium is life.

    Honestly: you & your weight-saving bling, Chops! I guess it'll help offset the pesky Winter bulking-up biz that afflicts us all. I couldn't help but notice how chilly your front m/cylinder reservoir looked at the end. Methinks a branded LCR sock-thing could be just the ticket to add some essential snugglage (not to mention the opportunity to make another cheeky addition to your burgeoning bill o' merch ). You KNOW it makes sense! 👍

    Hi there, nice upgrades, are you thinking of fitting a Brembo Rcs master cylinder?, I have along with HEL braided hoses, its now bye bye mushy brakes and hello eye popping brakes! job done!. One hugger you could have tried is made by Lightech, it uses the 2 casting holes on the swingarm to fasten it to the bike, because the holes are underneath, you can not see them when its fitted. Keep up the good work on the Gixer and the quality vids, cheers

    • @LambChopRides
      @LambChopRides  5 лет назад +1

      Im changing the lines so will see what difference that makes, to be honest mine has the 2018 brakes which are a good improvement anyway over the 2017. But if I need to then RCS will be added too

    • @RossWeitzner
      @RossWeitzner 5 лет назад +1

      I fitted an '09-'14 YZF-R1 front master to my GSX-R1000RL8 (as I had done with my L2). It, along with a full Galfer brake line kit (and DP HH+ pads which are personal preference) made all the problems go away. The brakes are as good as any I've ever tried on any motorcycle. The beauty of this is that all you need is the pump, a lever and a lever bolt. Here in the US, I did the whole conversion for ~$100 USD -- not including the CRG lever. Same brake light switch, and identical port location. Except for the Brembo logo on it, you'd mistake it for 100% factory stock.

      Yes Super Duke was good and fit and finish was above that of the Suzuki thats agreed. But the Suzuki is a nicer ride than the MkI Duke which is hard work after awhile and one of the reasons I sold it. I also actually think the Suzuki has a better finish than the BMW S1000RR which I think looks very cheap in places. But yes there is the odd weld where you think that could be better, but Suzuki do make a lovely engine and 3 year warrentee which not many offer yet.

    www.brocksperformance.com does wonders to the motor. That's on this side of the lake though. JHS does some over there.

      +Lamb Chop Rides I appreciate that. I'm around 240 and I wanted to see how the bikes you have rode over the past 3yrs felt under hard riding. And especially during track sessions.

      @@LambChopRides no disrespect but I was also a fattish geeza once. About 110 kgs when I had my 2009 R1. The best advice the cheeky salesman gave me was, to make my bike lighter and faster, why didn't I lose weight first!! Cheaper he said. Anyhow 33kgs lost later, I can say it was pretty good advice. Maybe give the Sunday roasts and mince pies a swerve for awhile mate?

      Alot of it depends on fitness, Im also quite tall at 6'2 and very broad but reasonably fit (ish) cycling etc when I can. Track sessions yes no problem, its also about flexibility on track sessions as you really need to move around the bike and have leathers which fit nice and are not too restrictive. Hope that helps?

      Yes Im on a continued diet to be honest, before I got back in to biking I was 24 stone, lost a load of weight came down to 18 stone but now working on staying 18 - 19.. Once you have been huge its very hard to keep that weight off as your body wants to put it back on. I can put on a stone in a week no problem if I dont watch myself :-(

      Because of the mag stuff and RUclips now very lucky that companies are willing to provide stuff for me to try out and review. The idea being I will provide an independent opinion of a product, and now where I can I will also try and get discount codes for my subscribers to share the love :-)

    Out of interest why didn’t you buy a new one and transfer all the goodies over before sending that one back?

      Suzuki offered me a great price on this bike as its an ex-press bike. As Ive done most of the miles myself anyway seems silly to turn them down! :-)

      Just checked insurance, its £340 for the year which is actually twice as expensive as the Super Duke!! Quite a surprise..

      Lamb Chop Rides When I’ve done my A licence in June, put me on as a named rider? I’ll pay the difference 😉hahahaha. Yeah, surprising that. But being a ‘superbike’ they attract a certain crowd for insurance purposes I guess 🤷🏽‍♂️
