Expert Hunter Tim ‘Spike’ Davis makes his return today reacting to the post-apocalyptic survival game The Long Dark where you must do what you can to survive. The Long Dark has a range of animals out in the wilderness you can use to hunt and harvest for resources so who better to come in and review this great game? Tim takes us through different processes and the impracticality of some weapons when it comes to wild hunting and which animals are and aren’t really worth the hassle in the long run. Any The Long Dark fans tuning in today what did you think?
The Long Dark takes place in an open-world environment and is played from the first-person perspective. In the game, the player assumes the role of a crash-landed pilot who must survive after a geomagnetic storm in the frozen Canadian wilderness. There are a number of regions in the environment, all of which are interconnected. According to the developers, the gameplay is a "survival simulation that takes into account factors such as body temperature, hunger/thirst, fatigue, wildlife, and many other factors."

Man legit said the deer was a rabbit and the wolf was a fox. He redeemed himself on the rifle thought 😂😂
Though*
@@IN_DUSTYProbably because this game's graphics are dogshit and I also couldn't identify most animals in the video
@@BrunoHartmann- ah the game is not to bad in person, but the graphics could be better. I actually play The Long Dark, so that’s probably another reason.
It’s an amazing game.
I'd love to meet the person who wastes rifle rounds on rabbits. That's what stones and the bow/revolver are for
No these are not called clips there MAGS!
Those are indeed clips.
Mags have springs in it so it can push the cartridge into the rifling.
But clips just holds the cartridges so it can load it to a rifle with a magazine system or into a magazine to fasten the reload time.
@@deadsoldiertrIt’s a joke reference from a fight between 2 RUclipsrs
"don't waste the meat and fur during a game. Gotta collect it even if you can't cause the game doesn't let you" ---this guy who doesn't know how to distinguish between the two
What is blud on about 💀💀😂😂😂🤔🤔⁉️⁉️⁉️💯💯💯⚡️⚡️
That hunter is a bit confused but grounded at the same time 😅, the guy looks cool and the game the Long Dark is definitely cool and they got pretty much everything right in that game.
By the way : "the canadian rangers used the lee enfield no.4 mk1 since the 40s-50s up until 2014 in the arctic, meaning they trusted a .303 to stop hungry polar bears for 60-70 years, the only reason they stopped using the .303 is because they were running low on parts, so I think im safe in saying it can take down almost anything North America has to offer, and there is no reason the no.1 mk3 wouldnt be the same"
I thought the rangers were able to put at least 5 rounds in it before taking one down. I remember reading a decent bit of arctic rangers journals and memoirs but my memory may be faulty so i cant tell you for sure how tough the polar bear is.
Except wildlife. Wolves don't typically attack humans nor venture on their own like that.
@@senseishu937what’s crazy is in the opening loading screen they say that wolves don’t act like that in the wild and people still get mad if it for being “unrealistic”
The animal behavior is not meant to simulate a hunting game .the devs even mention animal behavior at the loading screen .
Thats why you NEVER use the rifle on rabbits, its a waste.
someone show this to sneako so he understands what a clip is
I was looking for this comment, lmao😂
Who?
@@RachDarastrix2 a RUclipsr who had a problem with another RUclipsr named penguinz0
Because they had different opinions about a movie called cuties
And later it resulted in sneako threatening penguin with a glock saying"watch my clips " while holding a mag that happened while streaming
There is a whole video about it in penguinz0 channel it happened while ago so yeah
@@Whiterunguard455 oh
Has bro read the text where they told that they know hunting in this game is unrealistic but it would be too hard+ easy for player if wolves wouldn't attack or bears would be tougher and no that gun isnt M1 Garand
It's a Lee-Enfield, which was, indeed, used in the First World War.
People who see this video just remember, just because hes a hunter doesnt mean he is well informed most of the things he says just arent right or are only half truths
He has 2 statements, one that rabbit fur is warm and two you can eat almost everything on a rabbit. What is not right or half true here?
He's only partially right. That was a wolf not a fox eating a deer not a rabbit. And yes its a stripper clip, but no it being a bolt action has nothing to do with blowing a rabbit to pieces. Even with a high caliber weapon you could just shoot it in the head and it would still be edible. The caliber of the round is the important thing. Also you can spine shot and kill almost anything, including a bear, given that you sever the spinal cord. But yes with a bow its not very likely and def not a thing you would want to do when he can get to you but its a game so.
Have you ever fired a rifle? The odds of hitting a rabbit’s head with an outdated, damaged rifle in the snow are one in a million. The only way to get a reliable kill would be with a shot to the body. Which would blow the whole thing apart.
@zombiefanatic4833 you literally have no idea what you're talking about. The action of any gun has little to do with its killing efficacy. The action just describes how the gun is loaded. If it were a bolt action 22 it would work perfectly fine shooting a rabbit. The gun in TLD is a bolt action 303 which is a WW1/WW2 era weapon of which I own one. They are one of the better as you ignorantly called it "outdated" bolt guns ever manufactured, up there with the Kar 98 or Mosin Nagant. I've been shooting guns since I was 6 or 7 and I hunt and I spent 10 years in the military shooting everything from handguns to literal howitzers. The round of a 303 is considered a 30 caliber which would be heavy/large enough to drop any north american game you could think of but overly strong for a rabbit. But as I said if you were to shoot it in the head. Which you certainly could do as I know I can, it would just take the rabbit's head off. 😂😂😂 Even if you shot it in the body it wouldn't "explode" however it would put about a quarter sized hole through it which would make it largely unedible as it would bruise the meat around it.
@@Staggababewe talking owning a No. 1 2 3 4 or the jungle no 5.
@riclate2013 pretty sure its a mark III may be a 4. Haven't touched it in a while
@@Staggababehes the kind of guy to say 5.56 can blow the lung out of the body 😂
It's a Game
Indeed but in survival games such as this they strive for realism to immerse the olayer yet fail to please people with expierence in the field. I enjoy rdr2 as they had specifically hired people from different fields of work to monitor how accurate their portrayal would be
@@JoeFromThatPlace There are certain things developers have to comptomise in order to conform to the certain difficulties that the player chooses. This player most likely chose an easier difficulty so he gets an easier bir experience. And you have to also remember that Hinterland is not Rockstar. They can't dedicate a 1000 year of a pedigrees saving to a video game
Looks like an enfield, so a 303
@@killergames9256 doesn’t but whatever 😂
@@killergames9256 never played the game, the graphics looked like trash
@@killergames9256 nope, meant what I said
@@killergames9256 "It says it is _[sic]_ caliber in the description".
The possessive form of "its" is not spelt with an apostrophe.
Rabbit fat can be used to make cooking dough. You can soft tan the hide using its own brain and an egg
Drops a bear with a recurve 😂
It's not even a recurve, it's a longbow!
You can kill a bear with any sort of bow if you're accurate and it has a high enough draw weight. Wouldn't want to be in charging range of a bear in any case.
@@Alizudo it's not even a longbow, it's a shortbow, and a VERY weak one, because it has VERY irregular limbs (one limb is 4x straighter than the other) and the limbs are so INCREDIBLY curved backwards that the diference in tension between strung and full draw is probably non existent
@@GiovannaBassani-ve3wm I haven't played the full game, so that's even more embarrassing to read about. How disappointing.
@@Alizudo honestly kinda, the game is still fun, it's just sad how the only craftable ranged weapon is a bow that would realistically be unable to kill a rabbit, but downs a MOOSE with a single arrow... to the head for some reason
It was a wolf eating a buck
I like this
Bruh
Its just a video game sir, its not real
first comment 😂💪💪
Lmfao you will blow that rabbit to pieces 😂😂😂 an talk about a waste of ammo lol
