I really enjoyed your video, so many fun and sometimes gorgeous covers! That Superman 298 made me laugh hard. On the Darwyn Cooke Batgirl variant cover, he did a whole series at that time, for many of the series DC had running in the New 52 then. Some of them are really beautiful. My personal favorites are the Detective Comics 37 Cooke variant (a quiet, loving moment where Alfred shines the way only he can) and Superman 37 Cooke variant, which just so well captures the joy and core of Clark Kent/ Superman.
Yeah I have a bunch of the sideways Cooke variants, I think they are so much fun.

That's a great stack of comics. And what a generous guy Jerry is to include Golden and Silver Age books in the bundle.
I have a special fondness for 15 cent Marvels, probably because that's the time when I started reading comics.
I always bought Marvel's 1980s $1.50 and $2.00 reprint comics, definitely more expensive than regular issues at the time but you got three or more reprinted issues on better paper with enhanced colour reproduction; The Life Of Captain Marvel, Steranko's Captain America and Nick Fury runs and Lee/Ditko Doctor Strange stories from Strange Tales were some of the titles released around the mid-1980s, at a time long before Marvel's Masterwork, Essentials and Epic reprint programmes.
Detective Comics 623 has a Dick Sprang cover, must be one of the last he drew before retirement.

Yeah it was an amazing giveaway indeed. and yeah back them then I was a a young kid with a $2 a week allowance so I could get 3 new comics or I could hit the 25 cent bin and get 8 comics with my budget so the $2 price tag felt like a small fortune haha
