Little side note I wanted to mention. I realised after this video, my new black linen dress and my old black fleece were in the wash 🤦♀️ they were however on the 33 item list featured at the end of the video. There would have been some budge room to fit them in as they roll up small 😂Extreme minimalist wardrobes do require frequent washing. But I prefer it this way 😊👕👚🧥👖🩳👗 LINK TO MY EXACT SUITCASE www.tkqlhce.com/click-101261088-15499765 Official website: www.level8cases.com
@louiseisobelevans oh yes 🙌 I completely forgot my scarves 🤦♀️ 🧣 I forgot they are accessories but also clothing 🤯 i no longer have a belt or hat at present though. So I have no other forgotten accessories 😂 😊
That is so cool to have your full wardrobe travel-ready!^^ To me, dresses are great as they can double as skirts, and even winter dress/skirt (with leggings underneath). I live in dresses, but I honestly don't know how many I have, because they are my weakness 😅
Being pregnant this summer made it very easy to downsize 😂 I wore like 15 items max (nut including undergarments) and it was wonderful. I will try to continue this during fall and winter. As long as I'm home with my kids it will be easy. It'll become harder when I will be back to work.
I have followed your channel for a while now and it always makes me wonder - as an "on and off" minimalist - how you all do that = stay so minimal for a long period of time...
I think it really comes down to a persons incentive for being a minimalist. For instance whenever I may begin to think I want something I continually ask myself whether I’m prepared to give up that space in my home that it will take. In a larger home it may be easier for some people to own more without it becoming stressful but in our very small home, every addition is noticed. We only have 4 kitchen cupboards for instance. One small bathroom cabinet. No cloak room for coats. And just 3 underbed drawers each for everything else my partner & I own. So I choose every day to live with less so my home isn’t bursting at the seams. I also question how much I really need as one human being for other factors like the environment and personal philosophical thought about ownership and materialism. 😊
I could survive same amounth of day to day clothing, but thrifting is my hobby. 😁 So I have about 100, 20-50 items in my wardrobe in every season. I live in Finland, so I need more variation anyway. I also have small wardrobe for working, because I'm part time kindegarden teacher and construactor/wood worker. That aluminum carry-on is amazing, if I'd have money I would by it. I usually buy everything as second hand, but that would be one I would by new. 👌
Hello, I discovered you by chance and I think it's great that you have so little clothing for 4 seasons and can get by with it. I own around 60 items for 4 seasons without shoes and underwear, and I would like to clear out even more and own a lot less. Warm greetings from Germany
I like your plan to reduce as things wear out - I’m trying to reduce down, but I struggle with boredom. I just watched Laura Try’s YT on wearing identical outfit for 3 months, and I really related to some of the emotions she went through. But I think the way to break through these feelings are to do challenges like your 14 days, or her 3 month one until a new habit is formed around not needing so much variety.
Same here. Although it really depends on the weather. It was so hot in August so I generally wore shorts and short sleeve blouses. And in colder weather I tend to wear jeans and some jersey. It's a kind of uniform for me.
It’s funny you should say this as yes the 14 items for 30 days made me feel very bored and very strange. I may do a video about this in the future. But afterwards you feel like you have more choice. Also there are quite a lot of outfit combinations from 33 items. Ironically part of the reason I love having a small wardrobe is that the items wear out fast so I don’t get as bored. I use to… when I had a larger wardrobe, get bored of seeing items in my wardrobe for so long 😂 because they’d be in my possession longer because I had more clothes. So they all got worn less frequently. So I keep my 33 favourite pieces. Where them until they’re threads and then I can replace. 😊
After my recent closet declutter I tried whether my clothes fit into my carry-on and most of them fit there except coats and shoes 😆 but it also turned out that my luggage is falling apart, so not very safe for travelling. The crazy thing is I don't think I even used it that much. The suitcase you were showing looked interesting.. until I saw the price + customs to order to Europe. I need to search if there are any sustainable luggage options in Europe.
I thought they also shipped to Europe 🤔. Well I have to say I believe with many products particularly suitcases. The thing that sometimes makes them sustainable and durable is the materials. And this case is high grade thick but light aluminium. So although it seems like a lot up front, it comes with a lifetime guarantee and packing cubes. So rather than buy a cheaper option every few years that are often £80 each anyway now. With this you’re buying one thing once. I truly believe in it. Maybe you’ll be able to find something similar 😊 🧳
@@SagelifeMinimalism they might ship to Europe but I believe that customs will be quite high 😕 otherwise I love the idea of buying something only once and then never again 🙂 Luckily I am not in a rush with needing a new suitcase right away.. and in any case my non-minimalist partner has three in 3 different sizes 😶 so if I go alone somewhere I can borrow his smallest luggage
@@SagelifeMinimalism Wish I could get my wardrobe down to so few clothes... but I live in a 4 season state with very cold winters, and very hot/humid summers.
Ahhh yes not the video I thought!! 🤦🏻♀️ how is it possible I did it wrong 😓😂 I love your clothes, all colors matches together and the drawers under the bed are so practical 😎 Nice wardrobe!! 😍 Have a good day! ♥️
☺️ Thank you ☺️ because you have insider information that you know I’m going to Greece 🇬🇷 😂 I thought this was a nice way to show my wardrobe. And check it all still fits even with the 3 new pieces. 😊 ♥️ You too
I have done many videos like this that are not paid promotions. To physically show the spacial capacity of my clothing. I also, only two videos ago did a whole video about transparency and sponsorship as a minimalist content creator. A sponsorship never leads a video. Any sponsor must be sustainable, minimalist & fall in line with the video content I make. Furthermore when I include a sponsor within my video it is in place of at least one advertisement.
All my sponsorships are announced at the beginning of a video they are placed in. Any sponsor I agree to work with are sustainable intentional minimalist products. That are in place of at least 1 RUclips advert slot on that video. I did a whole video on monetisation and sponsorship as a minimalist creator. Saying I’d prefer to limit adverts of non sustainable products. Choosing to be more intentional with what minimalist viewers are shown. And more conservative with my viewers time now RUclips adverts have gotten so long and more frequent. I have therefore stopped many RUclips adverts appearing on my videos.
@@SagelifeMinimalism Don't worry having sponsors and so on is completely ok I just wish that all youtubers would be more open when they are doing sponsored videos because many people don't notice/understand that small popup which this kind of videos have at the begining.
While I live with few clothes and belongings, they wear out very quickly and I have to buy something every year. Someone who has five cardigans won't wear out that quickly, but I have one cardigan and it's only been worn for two years and it starts to wear out. What I want to get your opinion on here is how to buy extreme minimalist clothing and still buy less. It is washed frequently and wears out.
I think the only solution really is very good quality garments. Inevitably they are all going to wear out if we wear them more. I read that most clothes only get worn 120 times. I think this is due to a combination of throw away culture but also garment quality and how many times it can stand to be washed. If it’s the ‘buying’ you don’t like. You could just get 2nd hand. But it sounds like you’re doing your best. Everything has a down side. I think with extreme minimalist wardrobes, it’s definitely the constant washing. Therefore making clothes appear to wear out sooner. As we don’t have as big a turnover of clothes. 😊
Not sure if you mean me or @aslbeceren6678 but as I live with a partner who has a very dirty job we have an eco friendly machine. Low temperatures and low duration time. It also saves us time as we do have quite busy schedules at present whilst we try to save more to travel and emigrate 😊
Ya know what really bothers me as a minimalist living in wet weather? Why there aren't more fashionable/importance on rain trousers! Coats are so pretty, functional, variety and most importantly, kinda, acceptable. But I basically see nobody wear rain pants. HOW? 😂 I get it if you have a car or you somehow have the privilege not to go out in the rain, but for everyone else, how do they manage? 😂
I suppose they get wet and get changed 😂 That’s pretty much what I do 😂 or I suppose some people have longer coats to nearly cover their trousers…But yes quick drying trousers would be a good one. I have my eye on a pair eventually, for when I’ve worn a pair of jeans out 😊 👖
When I have to walk my dog in a rainstorm I wear rain boots and raincoat, so usually I don't get wet. And for rain pants I sometimes wear very lightweight snow pants.

Where do you store your suitcase? I don’t recall seeing it in any video tours.
I have feeling that she get money and/or products from that suitcase company so this video is just a advertising for it nothing more...
For a while it was under our bed. Then behind the sofa. Now it is on top of our boiler cupboard 😊
