EXACTLY. Went through the same struggles yesterday and thought about adding washers on the inside too, EXCEPT we also got the fender kit for my wife's XP Lite and the part that attaches where the brake light bracket is is much larger with makes putting the strap around the nub even harder. I think I'm just going to find another mounting solution for now, or grind off some of the fender bracket so there's more clearance. Really like these bikes but the one size fits all accessories need some more refinement.

Could just turn your seat clamp about 90 degrees so the smooth portion is to the back.
I can’t even get the screw in, is there any special tool you used to better get in there?
it is very annoyingly awkward. honestly, it was just balancing the screw on the hex wrench and a lot of luck.
The special tool is patience.
What seat is that on your XP Lite?
that is the stock seat post from the XP Lite.
@@jeffreymark6545 I was asking about the seat itself, not the post. I see some kind of gray logo on the nose that definitely wasn't on mine.
@@kentbriggs sorry about that.. mis-read. It's the Cloud 9 Metroline seat atop the stock Lectric post.
Why didnt you try to just rotate the seat clamp so the screw side is on the side instead of behind where its hitting the lock ?
Just watched your video... wow... the hardest part is screwing it into the bike. Nobody has the balls to show how to do it on an Lectric Lite bike!
