Follow along and see 5 different bike seats we tried for our Lectric XP Trike. It may surprise you. Be sure to share this video with all of your friends!
what’s the heel drop on this shoes? thanks
Those look like awesome Dad shoes, seriously. I’d get some.
they are very comfortable. I use them when I wash my cars
Thanks for the video, it helped me make a choice for my wife.
Glad it helped ✅
Insole is nicely molded and looks a lot better than the cheap ortho Nike/Jordan puts in their sneakers.
I like how they are Hoka dupes.
I just bought a pair at my nearby Costco; I love them! They are so comfortable! If you normally wear a size 11.5, then the size 12 shoe will fit perfectly.
Thanks for sharing!! I had to get them online.. none in my local warehouse
Take them to the swap meet and have your local airbrush dude get at them
that's a cool idea.
Kirkland is a five of all trades lol
Hey, did you get the same size as your hokas I.e. are they true to size ?
yes... they are sized just like my Hokas.
@@ocdetailnj ok thanks
Those lil Vietnamese kids really know how to make dem shoes. 😂
I'm torn between the YLG extra wide seat and the lectric brand saddle seat with the backrest for my lectric xp 3.0 that I just got last week. I'm not a fan of the comfort seat package they gave with the bike. Just like you said the comfort seat isn't all that great. Have you used the saddle seat with backrest and if you have why did you go with the YLG on your trike and not the saddle seat?
sorry, never tried the seat with the backrest. My wife likes the "wideness" of the YLG.
I tried the Lectric seat with the backrest on my Lectric trike and I hated it. The backrest is not adjustable at all, so it constantly seems to push me forward. I am a 69 year old female, not particularly overweight, and the backrest does not allow me to sit comfortably on the seat it is attached to. Also, even though the seat is larger than Lectric's standard seat, the backrest is welded on, so it isn't easily removable. I think with the right saws you may be able to cut the posts and remove it, but not worth it for me. I have ordered the smaller YGL (with the tail light) to see if it works for me.
my wife preferred the width of the YLG. She found it much more comfortable.
they don’t look bad at all.. I might check these out
agreed... while you won't win any style awards, it's not a bad shoe.
Just watched your video... wow... the hardest part is screwing it into the bike. Nobody has the balls to show how to do it on an Lectric Lite bike!
EXACTLY. Went through the same struggles yesterday and thought about adding washers on the inside too, EXCEPT we also got the fender kit for my wife's XP Lite and the part that attaches where the brake light bracket is is much larger with makes putting the strap around the nub even harder. I think I'm just going to find another mounting solution for now, or grind off some of the fender bracket so there's more clearance. Really like these bikes but the one size fits all accessories need some more refinement.
Did you get the indoor seat ? It’s the only one I see that match’s in your video
Jeffery... do you have a model number on the one she decided on that in currently on her trike?
Here's the one we have: www.amazon.com/YLG-Comfortable-Bicycle-Universal-Exercise/dp/B07QHTZHXD/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=XXTJN7YELUI2&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.TXxNphkS9J2YMVHWsIhcJmt8GcE_fGGUMqkqxxvUD3MlILgM1srtTsh4cKSlYumZCaAVZOLnhd-nQK9f7iYNc52jBJRea0u0c7jH0j_ptsF76IgCQdam9reh6FczxqnHa_gWYwjI9f8kkBE3Ib7Zw4hxiQ_jpY7KGiV4d3aHY6LoGW2ggsMDOmjINJOkLT_SP9qGZRW-AZqdravmMeylJi9cGygK7mFiTPXCjUlhI6MViIGOCRin_SKgkdx1SlBZCUmAEUH6yYppjmqHUFfOt-4OtgDMU7UHYVflvfq3WE4.dFg8MIdbPKEtfuqF3M0atokD4OqS6tZqR9WO8c7VMVU&dib_tag=se&keywords=ylg%2Boversized%2Bcomfort%2Bbike%2Bseat&qid=1708722532&sprefix=ylg%2B%2Caps%2C122&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&th=1
Thanks for the response... also... where did you get the roll around seat you are sitting on and what brand is it? I want one!!@@jeffreymark6545
@@scottdaniel2026 got it at Costco. www.costco.com/powerbuilt-heavy-duty-rolling-seat.product.100763650.html
I love to hear a happy ending 😊
What was your opinion on the wide YLG seat for yourself? Which do you prefer for yourself? Thanks.
my wife preferred the wider YLG. It was the most comfortable for her.
Could just turn your seat clamp about 90 degrees so the smooth portion is to the back.
I could only get the top nut/screw in as my hands are to big to get the bottom one in.
I can’t even get the screw in, is there any special tool you used to better get in there?
it is very annoyingly awkward. honestly, it was just balancing the screw on the hex wrench and a lot of luck.
The special tool is patience.
Hi, can ask if the YLG and Cloud 9 what is the height difference, my wife is not that tall and is helps to find a low rise seat. Thank you.
when you mean height.. from what point to what point? LMK and I"ll measure
@@jeffreymark6545 height wise, thickness…. thank you.
I tried both the C9 and a Bikeroo and both bothered my skinny butt after a long ride. I took a chance on a memory foam saddle cover I got at Walmart and voila! No more pain or discomfort and now I can ride for a long time/distance with no pain. Make sure you get memory foam and not gel.
glad it all worked out for you!
I tried all the seats your wife tried and decided the widest YLG was the most comfortable. Thanks for your review. I plan to buy the trike next Spring and I will purchase another YLG for it. Happy riding!
Thanks for your review. It has been tough to find any comparison info between the 2 sizes of YLG seats. I was thinking about just getting both of them, seeing which one my wife likes better, and returning the other one. To clarify, the one your wife likes the best is the largest, highest-priced one, correct?
Glad it helped. While I don't recall the pricing... she liked the largest one best and she's keeping it. After another 2 45 min rides, she is really happy with it overall and she says no discomfort.
@@jeffreymark6545 I went ahead and ordered both. We’ll see which one ‘wins’. She has a local friend with a different brand of eTrike - whichever seat my wife doesn’t keep, maybe the friend will want.
@jeffreymark6545 My wife liked the same one your wife liked. So it’s a keeper. Now to figure out if I’m returning the other one, or if my wife’s friend wants it.
@@settinger14 Great!
Do you think it would be appropriate for the smaller Bike you have in your garage
What size is the diameter of the post I'm thinking of getting it for my stationary air bike
What seat is that on your XP Lite?
that is the stock seat post from the XP Lite.
@@jeffreymark6545 I was asking about the seat itself, not the post. I see some kind of gray logo on the nose that definitely wasn't on mine.
@@kentbriggs sorry about that.. mis-read. It's the Cloud 9 Metroline seat atop the stock Lectric post.
Why didnt you try to just rotate the seat clamp so the screw side is on the side instead of behind where its hitting the lock ?
I'm 62 year old man 155 lbs. I also found the YLG seat to be the best for the Lectric XP Trike. By the way I installed a 52 tooth crankset and decreased the wheel diameter setting to 14.5 and now I can pedal the trike up to 19 mph. The speed has to be measured with GPS because the incorrect wheel diameter throws the display off.
oh.. that's a very interesting mod to gain mph... aren't you able to reset the wheel diameter in the display to adjust?
@jeffreymark6545 That's the setting I alter. If I set it to be accurate the top speed drops back down to 14 (13.6) on my trike. The loss of accuracy in the display doesn't bother me as the benefits of the bigger chainring and higher speed make the world of difference in this trike.
