Hey Nick, Thanks for sharing your install and set up experience. We hope you're enjoying your Kevo so far! We did want to echo Ryan's comment, you shouldn't need to hold your phone or FOB next to the lock. As long as you are within Bluetooth range your deadbolt will activate. So try keeping your phone in your pocket, bag or briefcase. We look forward to hearing from you in a few weeks with your full review! -Kwikset
I just ordered one of these with a keypad. It is supposed to be able to auto lock the door and it can be locked and unlocked with your phone with the click of a buttonKwikset 99420-002 Have you tried this model before and is it reliable?
Great video, but the lock not so much. Whats the point of a fob if you have to fumble with a fob larger than a key, it's probably expensive to replace / copy, and it takes longer to use. Oh and batteries. Without the fob BT is available, but then you need a fob (phone) with internet, and still have to touch the lock. For this y thing to be worth 2 poops, you need to have no exposed front face to pick out even know the lock is there. Leave an old lock in place for smart ass locksmiths to pick on, but the real lock is inaccessible.
There is no fob. I connects automatically with your cell phone via bluetooth. As long as the phone is within range, it will respond to your touch. I love it.
"You're gonna wanna", "You're gonna need to", "You're gonna wanna go ahead", "Gonna, Gonna, Gonna, Gonna". I don't often complain on RUclips videos but once I noticed that you repeated these phrases once, it became really annoying. Similar to "valley girls" overusing "like".
You make it look so easy! Thanks

If you have a rental property, how can you keep them out when they move? If they have this on their phone? Not good for a rental property.
You don't have to touch the fob or the phone to the lock... As long as it's in Bluetooth range

He said that already
I have a problem at the last step. When I put in battery, it does not retract or extend. Do you know this reason? Thanks!
I would like to know if the lock is a pruba of extreme weather sun and rain.
