Personally, I like server PSU. I bought them from parallel miner too and its been amazing. I started off though with an EVGA 1000w I think? And that was great, but the thing with the server PSU is that you can run them really really hard and also they're much smaller which I appreciate but yea, idk if anyone is reading this comment but highly recommend Server PSUs!!

Corsair RM850x working like a charm for at least half a year. They have 4 pcie connections on the PSU itself, and comes with 3 cables but you can buy an extra. That’s already a lot of connections especially if you add splitters. The temperature is cool and it’s basically noiseless.
I also have a Corsair HX850 which is very similar.

Like yourself I use computer PSU to power motherboards and server power supplies to power GPU’s and risers. I’ve been using 2 EVGA 650GT to power motherboards for about a year now and parallelminer 1200 watt gold HP power supplies for also a year. Neither of them has had any issues and have been running 24/7 365. I’m in the USA. Thanks for all you do and the time you devote to the community, I really enjoy the videos and have learned so much from you.

I like the modular ATX power supplies because of how available they are and in my experience they've been very dependable/ reliable for me. The cost hasn't been too outlandish for me either so that's a plus. I've learned to love the daisy chained 6+2 charging cables. Just slap some splitters on them and they work perfect!! USA here!

Hey RPM! Canada here, my first ever power supply was a 850W seasonic which ran find for 2 years. I still have it as a backup (or a new build), but I lean towards the Corsair and EVGA series now. Mainly the 1000W Corsair and 1200-1300W EVGA G series. I just trust a more recognized brand, plus I see alot of miners/content creators using them, I'm a follower. HAHA, This is my edited comment after getting to the end of the video regarding the 1600W mining cave PSU. Always watch your stuff till the end. Great vidz keep it up.

For the ATX power supplies I really like the Corsair. HX One thing that surprised me was that the modular cables are not compatible across brands and sometimes lines within brands. So always a good idea to make sure that you have the right cable for the power supply you are using. I'm from the USA.

I'm surprised you had issues with a Seasonic, I've used them for decades at this point and have always been solid (In regular PC's not in Mining Rigs). For my Rigs I used the Corsair RM850 line of PSU's, they come with three cables but if you get an extra you can use 4. Have several rigs all running these and have been really solid for me.

pretty sure Seasonic uses same manufacturer as Corsair for PSUs. My gaming computers have only ever had Corsair units... (even fried a TX750 floppy connector, cut that strand off and still used it for 6 years after that)
Evga is a great value for 1kw units though, with lots of PCIe for an ATX unit

@@austinh1028 just so you know that seasonic is the oem for many other manufacturers such as corsair. So certain Corsair psus are made by seasonic. I’m not sure if seasonic uses others to make their own psus. Could be.

    ATX power supplies for me
    a) warranty - years and years if you buy new
    b) availability - can get anywhere
    c) can combine - easy to run multiples to beef up
d)quiet for a home miner like me
    e) resale - should you need to sell off, easily go into a PC build
Located in AU - hopefully oceania gets a chance to enter too!

My Favorite ATX PSU brand is EVGA, I have only ever had one failure and they replaced it without hassle. The cables are quality and they always seem to be underrated for power. I have used the g5,bq and g+ Buuuut wouldn't mind trying something else too :p I'm in Canada. Great vid RPM!!

Great vid RPM, im a UK miner and had an old super flower platinum 1200w psu for ages and is solid has never let me down as a pc gamer I've used it in many builds when upgrading, recently got a evga 850 for my second rig and seems more economical maybe because its newer. Yet again another informative video from you.

I'm in the US, I have two of the the corsair RM1000X power supplies on my first and only 6x 3080 rig. I like them because they haven't failed on me through all the tinkering I've done/had to do on the rig. I watched the whole video ;)

Great presentation and format. Your video was very well organized and thought out. If I had one choice between the power supplies it would be the HP server power supply due to reliability, efficiency, and simplicity. I am from the USA.

USA - EVGA SuperNova P2 has been solid for my setup, the fan only spins up in the PSU if it needs to, resulting in being rather quiet.

I like the compact efficiency of the hp server psu's . Seem way more functional for a solid mining setup. Here in the U.S. we just cant seem to get a gpu for a reasonable price with rx580 4gb selling for 400

I'm in the USA; My favorite PSUs currently are the Dell PowerEdge server PSUs paired with the ParallelMiner X15 breakout board, specifically the 1050w model. They're of course cheaper than ATX PSUs and cheaper than HP branded ones due to being lesser known; I'm a newer miner and so I'm still trying to save costs to put into more GPUs. Also, the 1050w I believe runs at 1000w on its 120v line which was particularly important for me before I installed a 240v circuit in my home. There are also other models going all the way up to 2400w, but those models do not perform as well on 120v and are meant for 208-240v inputs. The X15 board is fairly basic and does not have motherboard or CPU headers so I currently combine them with low watt ATX power supplies.

I love HP Server PSU 1200w. No problem so far running 24/7 for 4 months. The breakout boards gives you the option to adjust to your needs. The fact that they are server psus made for running 24/7 makes it feel safer and more secure to use them.

Hi mate. Great content. I am just starting out with mining and was wondering which vids I should watch. Do you have a step by step in how to build a mining rig? I bought 5x3070 and 5x1080ti and was about to buy 2 x Cooler Master M2000 Platinum Fully Modular 2000W Power Supply to run on 2 separate rigs. Looks like a lot of fun. I also have a lot of 1000w EVGA PSU's lying around I see now can be used.

First off I started mining in 2020 after watching your videos daily watching how you build mining rigs my first rig I buy on Ebay it was rig frame with 2-750 EVGA G2 power supplies motherboard z270 with 6 fans for $500. So I bought 4 2060s and I broke 3 of the 4 Gpus power supply being to small, took to the computer shop they told me I need it bigger power supplies so I bought two 1600w Hercules then I saw those for back to Amazon and got me 8x5600xt msi you had showcased them in your video. And I did the same thing for my second rig 8x5700xt I got all of the Hercules off of eBay second hand. Then I built a third rig after watching you with these breakout boards from parallel miners so I bought a 2400 server power supplies and it is running 8x3070 non LHR. I really like the service power supplies one power supply to run the entire rig is what I like thanks for all your help and ideas. I'm in the USA 🇺🇸

I purchased an EVGA 1300P+ and absolutely love it. It is not cheap but I got it on a deal from Amazon. I prefer server PSU's but if I'm not using one, it is typically going to be an EVGA 750-1300 I have not had an issue with them. Thanks for the video, as usual, very informative.

I'm a new miner from the US, started in 11/2021. I bought 2 Corsair HX 1200 ATX PSUs because they were the only 1200W platinum rated modular PSU's available at my local Best Buy. I like that it's modular and they feel solid. The fan turns on only if it gets warm but they stay pretty cool under load in my basement powering my RX6700XTs. As a new miner, I've been learning alot thanks to RPM's channel and the awesome mining community!

My fav are the Parallel Miner HP server PSUs. I'm running mine as a secondary unit to my EVGA 1000P5 and have had rock solid performance with both. I've also got plenty of room for power draw if I want to upgrade my GPUs in the future. Fans are pretty quiet on about half load! I'll be looking to add server PSUs for all future rigs since they are cheaper than consumer grade hardware, plus those break-out boards and splitters

I love the server PSUs, they are just so good on efficiency and price. You can some big power out of some of them for sure and they are made for the purpose of running full steam for long periods of time. If your a serious miner than there is no need for modular power supplies other than to power the mobo or run a test rig. I am from Ontario Canada.

Im an EU miner so have gone for the Server PSU's to get the best efficiency possible. Also tried out Dell Power-ridge style Platinum 1100W PSUs, at $15 a pop and $15 for the breakout board its a lot better value than the HP ones, quieter too. Also using 6 pin Pico-PSU's for the CPU and 24pin power to save on using an extra ATX PSU, working great! Always open to trying some decent ATX PSU's theyve just been $300+ for the last year here.
