The ones who had kids too early before actually getting to live their lives anyway... I'm not waiting for my 50's to do that, 20's in particular and even more so for the current generation is already such a struggle just to survive, we can't even own houses anymore, many are studying until mid-20's and then have student debt on top, why make it worse by throwing a kid in the mix.
@@cenciende9401 I’m 26 with a 17-month-old. I have friends that I hangout with regularly, (COVID has changed that some but even through small outdoor gatherings and lots of distancing) I go on weekly dates with my wife, I own a small house in the city and a 2016 Subaru, I play video games or watch movies/shows with my wife when my son is napping and/or goes to sleep for the night, I have a stable income and I don’t have to live at work to keep it stable; having a kid young doesn’t keep you from living life. Lacking a desire to live life is what keeps you from living life. (With exception, of course; I don’t want to make too broad of a statement since not everyone approaches life from the same starting point) Not everyone’s story is like mine; I’m blessed to have a small but stable family that loves my son and is willing to help with him as needed. They all also had children young, so they have an ability to relate that not every family has. There’s also no doubt that there are stressful times that make you want to just quit. But you make your decisions, put your head down, and live with what you’ve made. There are stressful times that make you want to quit even when you don’t have kids. People wait to have kids or don’t have kids for all kinds of reasons, both inside or outside of their control. I understand and sympathize with that. How one decides to live or has to live isn’t something anyone else can truly understand outside their own circumstances. Not having kids until you’re older because you think they’ll keep you from “living” is one of the more naïve reasons to not have kids. It honestly sounds more like an immature excuse someone makes to their nagging parents or insistent aunt at a holiday gathering but I haven’t had to consider that as a reason for not having kids while young myself, so I’m not qualified to make an absolute statement about that. If you have goals that don’t mix with the stability a kid needs from their parents, then wait until you’re able to have a stable home life or don’t have kids, that’s part of making an adult decision. But don’t think that not having kids will somehow keep “life” unlocked for you. That door will shut at any time for any reason. Pretending life ends when one has a kid is selfish if not narcissistic and shows just how ironically childish ones view of kids are.
"The DeLorean, it's my favourite car ever." Yeah, we KNOW Jakey XD I still collect HW cars here and there, mainly the licensed ones. It's actually incredible seeing the cars in the menus, they genuinely look photorealistic. I know there are a lot of Hot Wheels photographers out there, but the cars are very small and you'd need a good camera to take decent up-close photos, so the photo mode here would definitely allow a lot more people to enter that community, and perhaps start a whole new photo community dedicated to the game.
I hope they add in the Mega Construx versions at some point. Like how Forza has the Lego cars. I have the big Mega Construx Bone Shaker that Target had. If you can find one, it's a little pricey at $70-$80 but it's such a nice set
Hopefully they don't implement them later like the Crash Team Racing remake. It's system was clearly designed with spending in mind, but was only applied after positive feedback in reviews.
Honestly, arcade racers like NFS haven't been such a hit with me recently and I use to love this, so if it has The kia stinger (2019) hot wheel there I'm hype! I'm down to give it a shot
This game has several issues that most reviews seem to be overlooking. The two biggest ones in my opinion is first, the significant difficulty jump from easy to medium. It's actually kind of ridiculous. Medium is pretty damn hard and unforgiving at times and easy is way too easy, there's no legitimate middle ground for players and that's kind of frustrating. And the second issue is the constant track repeats. This game will make you do the same tracks over and over again and it makes the game get very dull very quickly.
Now a days you don’t see developers trying interesting new or goofy, light hearted fun things so I think we can all agree this game was a much needed change! Will definitely be copping this one and it has splitscreen too so I van play with my lil bro
Brings back memories of when I used to play the micro machines game on my Sega Mega Drive. What an awesome game that was. Remember racing around a pool table and around a kitchen. Or in boats around a garden pond haha
Pro tip from the Turbo Racing days: doing flips during jumps get u a lot more boost. U dont have to try to get the boost dots if u play like we did back in the day. Its designed so we can still use the same things back then to gain massive boosts. Also, watch for shortcuts.
I'm a 34 year old man and I'm excited about this game. I used to play the older hotwheels pc games when i was in high school, my dad even played then with me. I'm gonna have to tell him, i think he might just get back into video games cause of this one.
I really want a remake of Velocity X, that one was pretty dope with a cheesy storyline and cool levels, although it was more focused on a world where Hot wheel cars are real cars instead of these kind of games where it embraces that you're playing with a toy car within a real world
This game is currently free this month on the PlayStation store. Dropped by to see if it was any good and looks fun, definitely adding it to my library 👍
I appreciate how articulate & honest you are with each game. I find myself looking for your thumbnails whenever I want to watch a good & thorough review! ✅👍🏻
This game has me engaged on a whole new level! I’m not the best at it, pretty consistent 4-5th place in lobbies but I love the feel of it. The game presents so many more challenges than I anticipated and at this point I take it more seriously than forza but don’t mind not dominating online. The weird thing is, there are not nearly as many bumper car trolls as there is in serious racing games which is great but odd because this is a game where bumping is much more acceptable. I love the scale and love how drifting feels like you put your fingers on the car and drifted it like a tech deck while making screeching noises as a kid. Solid game, can’t wait to see where it goes with the season pass.
I'll never forget this moment as a child. I hat a hot wheels car (Can't remember the specific kind, it was like a cream and red convertible) and I loved it so much. One time on a family trip I saw the exact car, same colours and everything and it blew my mind.
The emphasis on drifting and different types of boost is making me want to pick this game up and use the track editor to recreate different stages from Ridge Racer.
I remember playing a hotwheels game on PS2 as a kid and doing presentations about it in like 2nd grade, there was like a "what did you do this weekend" kinda thing, and I definetly did a few presentations on that game. Super hype to get this on ps4!
I got this game early and it's honestly some of the most fun I've had. I think the time trials are gonna be full of odd shortcuts and Speedrun strats too as this game ages
I’m so worried they’re going to add microtransactions in after the fact, especially if the good reviews keep coming in and it does well at launch, mostly because I haven’t seen anything from the devs saying it won’t. I might have to wait a month or two to see what happens, but it looks great.
I wouldn't care if it was purely optional like if it didn't affect the current progression/process of getting cars. If they ReBaLaNcE things to cater to the microtransactions I'm out lol
Love the game... its a challenge tho. Some of the tracks are down right frustrating and yet fun n addictive. Half the time it feels like your hydroplaning tho.
i wish more reviews focused on this. it just seems very unfair and floaty esp when needing boosts to make certain jumps but then flying off the rail. Im debating whether or not i should buy this game and this is the only thing holding me back. I wanted an arcade racer to mindlessly play at night without putting much thought into it, i dont think this game is that lol
I love this, it looks so good!! It would be cool if they also added a side scroller mode kind of like Trials: Evolution and how they also utilized player-created maps
As someone who adored stunt track driver this is exactly what I hoped it might become one day. As a smol bug playing a game with smol cars is very satisfying
The most complete game to be released in the last 10 years, all these new released games are so half baked that the creators get away with charging full cost for a game but with only half the content it’s supposed to have at launch. Just like CoD Cold War, I believe Hot Wheels will be a timeless game to remember.
6:26 I did not expect this amount of detail in the customization. 6:31 And this... Wow. They outdid them selfe! Not shure if im going to be a room designer. But its great. The only thing I hope is there to be people online for a long time like in Mario kart 8. It came out in 29.may.2014 on Wii U and I resently bought it. Always people online! And easy to start a match.
"Multiple difficulty modes so anyone can play." Just the answer I was looking for. Was thinking of getting this to play with my 6 y/o nephew who is a huge hot wheels fan. He's pretty new to gaming, so I need something that even a complete beginner can play. This sounds perfect.
Now that I think about it, the reason there's no speedometer is because the cars are really small and I don't think neither KMH or MPH would translate well to the size and the real speed of the car. I'ld still like if we had an RPM display maybe.
Played constantly with hot wheels and my orange track and black wide tracks, loved the older PC games and loving this game so far on PS5, nostalgia trip.

I'm not waiting for my 50's to do that, 20's in particular and even more so for the current generation is already such a struggle just to survive, we can't even own houses anymore, many are studying until mid-20's and then have student debt on top, why make it worse by throwing a kid in the mix.
Your a downer
@@cenciende9401 I’m 26 with a 17-month-old. I have friends that I hangout with regularly, (COVID has changed that some but even through small outdoor gatherings and lots of distancing) I go on weekly dates with my wife, I own a small house in the city and a 2016 Subaru, I play video games or watch movies/shows with my wife when my son is napping and/or goes to sleep for the night, I have a stable income and I don’t have to live at work to keep it stable; having a kid young doesn’t keep you from living life. Lacking a desire to live life is what keeps you from living life. (With exception, of course; I don’t want to make too broad of a statement since not everyone approaches life from the same starting point)
Not everyone’s story is like mine; I’m blessed to have a small but stable family that loves my son and is willing to help with him as needed.
@@cenciende9401 I bet your fun at parties. Geez what a miserable git.
"The DeLorean, it's my favourite car ever." Yeah, we KNOW Jakey XD
I still collect HW cars here and there, mainly the licensed ones.
Can’t watch back to the future and not love a delorean.
I hope they add in the Mega Construx versions at some point. Like how Forza has the Lego cars. I have the big Mega Construx Bone Shaker that Target had. If you can find one, it's a little pricey at $70-$80 but it's such a nice set
I love seeing it but my only gripe is the sound design
It’s a fun game, and I’m glad there’s no micro transactions because I was kinda worried when I saw the loot boxes.
Hopefully they don't implement them later like the Crash Team Racing remake. It's system was clearly designed with spending in mind, but was only applied after positive feedback in reviews.
Yeah wait for the reviews to come out then they can add microtransactions.
I’m 50yrs old my wife got me this game I luv it brings me back to my childhood awesome review brother
You are here Because epicgames made it free !
Hahaha yesss😂
Yes😅
4:26 Misses the 2 straight and safe jumps, but nails the risky diagonal boosted jump. Go hard or go home I guess.
Honestly, arcade racers like NFS haven't been such a hit with me recently and I use to love this, so if it has The kia stinger (2019) hot wheel there I'm hype! I'm down to give it a shot
A Hot Wheels game sounds god damn fun. I expect a kid/arcade style racer with crazy tracks, and that's exactly what I hope for
osama bin had polo
This game has several issues that most reviews seem to be overlooking. The two biggest ones in my opinion is first, the significant difficulty jump from easy to medium. It's actually kind of ridiculous. Medium is pretty damn hard and unforgiving at times and easy is way too easy, there's no legitimate middle ground for players and that's kind of frustrating. And the second issue is the constant track repeats. This game will make you do the same tracks over and over again and it makes the game get very dull very quickly.
👍🏼
Now a days you don’t see developers trying interesting new or goofy, light hearted fun things so I think we can all agree this game was a much needed change! Will definitely be copping this one and it has splitscreen too so I van play with my lil bro
I've been getting myself those cars for years and when this game was first shown, I really got excited. Good to hear it lives up to the expectations.
"It's all fairly fair and normal... for now"
Key words: for now
Who needs trackmania when you've got this? Simply, incredible.
I've been waiting 18 years for a good, full on Hot Wheels game
When I saw the trailer for this I laughed and said not everything is Mario kart. What a water of time. I have changed my mind, this looks fantastic
Imagine another Speed Racer video game that plays similar to this along with the "Car-Fu" mechanics I think you'd have a hit maybe.
We can recreate the tracks from it. Shouldn't be to diffuclt
@@effisjens1776 Good point!
@@effisjens1776 If this game got the fuji helexicon and the grand prix colosseum I would buy it in a heartbeat
Speed Racer was one of my favorite games on the Wii. I'd love a new game in that line.
all the 'beat that' veterans rise up!
✊😎
Yesssiiir
Agreed
It would've been hilarious if the cars exploded when falling off the tracks or ending up upside down like it did in Turbo Racing on the PS1 lol
Brings back memories of when I used to play the micro machines game on my Sega Mega Drive. What an awesome game that was. Remember racing around a pool table and around a kitchen. Or in boats around a garden pond haha
God, this takes me back to Hot Wheels: Stunt Track Challenge. Absolutely loved that game as a kid.
Pro tip from the Turbo Racing days: doing flips during jumps get u a lot more boost. U dont have to try to get the boost dots if u play like we did back in the day. Its designed so we can still use the same things back then to gain massive boosts. Also, watch for shortcuts.
The best BYB thumbnail since Ace Combat 7.
Dangerous Driving
you're here because it's free on epic haha
+11 free DLC 😂
A game that's pure product placement that doesn't feel like product placement. Perfection.
Also 9:03 and the car selection screen: so photo real!
I'm a 34 year old man and I'm excited about this game. I used to play the older hotwheels pc games when i was in high school, my dad even played then with me. I'm gonna have to tell him, i think he might just get back into video games cause of this one.
I really want a remake of Velocity X, that one was pretty dope with a cheesy storyline and cool levels, although it was more focused on a world where Hot wheel cars are real cars instead of these kind of games where it embraces that you're playing with a toy car within a real world
Someone should figure out who exactly has the rights to that game. I heard the developer went defunct and doesn't exist anymore.
For 14 bucks I think I'm finally gonna pick up the GOTY Edition
This game is currently free this month on the PlayStation store. Dropped by to see if it was any good and looks fun, definitely adding it to my library 👍
I appreciate how articulate & honest you are with each game. I find myself looking for your thumbnails whenever I want to watch a good & thorough review! ✅👍🏻
Glad you like them!
Before you buy: Take anger management classes for the time attack events
Yikes
They should start selling physical hot wheels with a barcode that allow you to redeem whatever hot wheels you’ve bought and use them in game
*I can see them releasing Hot Wheel Unleashed exclusive Hot Wheels in store that you can scan into the game rather than adding multi transactions.*
That would be dope! And a helluva way for them to make money while the customer can be satisfied in having both a physical and digital car.
That’s a ridiculously good idea.
What a fantastic idea!
I'll never forget this moment as a child. I hat a hot wheels car (Can't remember the specific kind, it was like a cream and red convertible) and I loved it so much. One time on a family trip I saw the exact car, same colours and everything and it blew my mind.
The emphasis on drifting and different types of boost is making me want to pick this game up and use the track editor to recreate different stages from Ridge Racer.
this video probably getting a ton more news now that's been announced the game will be free on PLUS
Worth noting you don't have to buy tracks with coins. All those tracks are unlockable via the 'campaign' mode
I remember playing a hotwheels game on PS2 as a kid and doing presentations about it in like 2nd grade, there was like a "what did you do this weekend" kinda thing, and I definetly did a few presentations on that game. Super hype to get this on ps4!
Super-stoked to cop this for free!
They are orady transactions suxs 29 for 10 cars & 3 track s & other dumb shit 😒
Plus with so many games coming out right now, it being a $50 game, it will be $30 in two months most likely
As a 28 year old man I love hot wheels, the show on tunami was great also
This reminds me of one of the Hot Wheels games that came out in the late '90s, early 2000s on the PC. That game was amazing!.
I just bought it liking it so far
Free on epic games 🔥
I love this, it looks so good!!
It would be cool if they also added a side scroller mode kind of like Trials: Evolution and how they also utilized player-created maps
My 8yo son and I are loving this game so far.
He gets a huge kick out of seeing vehicles he owns on the track, almost as much as I do.
As someone who adored stunt track driver this is exactly what I hoped it might become one day. As a smol bug playing a game with smol cars is very satisfying
Reminds me a lot of Revolt. That was a cool game too!
Before I download...
The most complete game to be released in the last 10 years, all these new released games are so half baked that the creators get away with charging full cost for a game but with only half the content it’s supposed to have at launch. Just like CoD Cold War, I believe Hot Wheels will be a timeless game to remember.
Heads off to you.
I'm 23 years old and have 3 little kids of my own and I can't wait to know this off of Steam
And easy to start a match.
who else here because its here on Epic Games?
me... but I'm getting an error on the check out page... any solutions?
Me 🎉
I can’t believe I’m actually watching one of these before buying a game.
it's now free now in epic rip those who bought it
The ultimate full addition is on sale on the Nintendo eshop right now! Regular 89.99$. On sale for like 25$
I'm sold on the track editor alone! All this game needs are weapons and I'd be golden!
This looks like gratuitous amounts of fun. I might have to grab it, for my son of course. 😉
LOL, everyone from EPIC here 😂
Me who has it for free with ps plus: Come on man, THATS TOO EASY
Nostalgic af, I used to play “Hot Wheels Beat That” all the time in my ds and after all this time I can play again
“The controls with the track building is hard” people who have played theme park games their whole life: ;)
"Multiple difficulty modes so anyone can play." Just the answer I was looking for. Was thinking of getting this to play with my 6 y/o nephew who is a huge hot wheels fan. He's pretty new to gaming, so I need something that even a complete beginner can play. This sounds perfect.
Before you buy: Wait to see if they introduce microtransactions later
I'm a Gran turismo guy personally but this genuinely looks like fun.
Now that I think about it, the reason there's no speedometer is because the cars are really small and I don't think neither KMH or MPH would translate well to the size and the real speed of the car. I'ld still like if we had an RPM display maybe.
This reminds me of the Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver game from way back in the day that I LOVED in my childhood
Played constantly with hot wheels and my orange track and black wide tracks, loved the older PC games and loving this game so far on PS5, nostalgia trip.
I am getting it tomorrow. I have never been more excited for a hotwheels game
