I'm confused, why wasn't the adapter designed to contain spills in instances of improper installation/seal. It is large enough to contain the entire 20-ounce content instead of leaking all over the blender.
I know Vitamix is a quality product and totally love my Pro750 but over $120 for the adapter is a little much in my opinion.
Agreed....so is $130 for a 32oz wet ingredients container but it'll probably be much easier to make smaller batches of hummus.
but vitamix blends much better than nutribullet so you get what you pay for. I wish I got the vitamix adapter instead of the Nutribullet(pro)
I thought the same thing…. Until I borrowed our friends for a couple weeks. Game changer. Mine just came in the mail 😂
@@its_justJohn easer to clean I bet??
The Neutra bullet is over $100 so I bought the adapter for the Vita Mixer because it was only a few dollars more than what I got it in the mail. I saw what a good quality plastic it had nice and thick definitely better quality.
Yes, yes and yes! This is the product I needed for my 5300.
Awesome video as always!! I love the honest review and I'm still happy with my S55 which I can use either my cup or blender interchangeably :)
You are very friendly, informative, and professional, thank you for what you are doing
I appreciate you Nissim! Thanks for the support!
Lol I bought this machine during covid time, now just open the box. I’m sooo glad to watch your video before making the mess!!
Right on! Thanks for watching!
Wow! It looks like a liquid Creamsicle!
Great video, as usual. I only wish that the adapter were available without the cups (I already have a cup).
I like my new personal cups mainly for the convenience (previously l was using my nutribullet more often because of the smaller container), but I am noticing that the blade on the personal adapter is not as sharp as blade on my regular vitamix container. When I blend certain fruits, I am still seeing bits and pieces of skin and seeds after blending. The regular vitamix container would pulverize everything completely. If I had paid regular price for my personal cups, I would not have been happy, as I could have continued to use my nutribullet if I wanted to see a bunch of seeds in my smoothies.
Thank you Henry. Even for the blooper! Happy New Year.
Happy new year to you too Ann! Thanks for watching. 🙏🏾👨🏾🍳😍
We use ours every day, once in a while it leaks and tofsy it got stuck and wouldn't unscrew, but usually works really well. We make something similar to a Mango Lassie. Btw found your video while trying to troubleshoot bc my son Henry was blending and it got stuck 🤣💗
Thank you for doing this video. Very helpful!
I bought vitamix after seeing your vdo few years back,, totally love it,,i want the adaptor now ,, its a bit pricey esp in aussie $,, not sure m8
I just ordered the personal cup adapter. Thanks for the free shipping!! Can't wait to receive it and I really enjoy your videos!
Right on!!! It definitely works well and it's a nice package. Thank you for ordering thru Blending with Henry. I truly appreciate your support! 👨🏾🍳🙏🏾😍
@@BlendingWithHenry I got this in the mail yesterday and blended my first protein shake this morning. It turned out great and the cups are a perfect size! Love it!
Thanks so much for reporting back. You're helping so many people with your feedback. Glad you're enjoying the Personal Cup Adapter!
I just bought two for my cousin and her daughter using your link. I hope Vitamix throws you a little something.
Right on!!!! And thank you so much for supporting me thru your order. You always support my work and that's one of the reasons I keep producing more content. Luv ya!!👨🏾🍳🙏🏾😍
@@BlendingWithHenry Super-big 🤗 to my good buddy!
Thanks!! I've been looking forward to this video. So awesome
Looks interesting but the design could be slightly better don't like the bowl, it looks a bit clumsy. Do you know when it is available in the UK?
Awesome review Henry! 🤙🏽
Glad you enjoyed it and I truly appreciate your kind feedback Edgar. If you haven't as of yet please subscribe to be alerted for future videos.🙏🏾
Any insight as to when the personal A series cups and bowls will be out?
I looked to see if anyone asked the question about using this to make bullet proof (hot) coffee.
I'm thinking 🤔 it will create too much pressure?
I'll have to look for my recipe book for further information. I've had this attachment a few years but haven't used it.
Nice video, BTW!
Henry I finally got the cup! Thanks for this again.
Very cool!!!! I always appreciate your support Bluesocks!
You're totally right. I don't understand the purpose for the Large, clunky outer bowl? It made it tough to screw on the personal Blender Jar in the upside down position. Now they have the much smaller 8-Ounce baby food container jar. Why wouldn't that work here too with the personal jar top? Poor design.
The 8-oz. jars aren't to be used with this adapter, as per Vitamix.
Awesome video and great demo. This thing looks like it’s more work and time consuming then just using the pitcher.
🤣🤣🤣
You make less smoothie and have to clean two parts lmfao.
Also the extra plastic around the adapter doesn't make any sense!
actually it's the opposite. Easier to clean than the pitcher.
Go Henry! I would have used water instead of OJ personally. And maybe throw in a little kale. Yum!
Thanks for this video!
Hi Henry! Thanks for this video, especially showing us what NOT to do as well as the best ways to use the adapter! I’m not sure my housemates could handle cleaning this properly. (They can be like kids!) I’ll have to skip this one for now.
Lisa C it’s dishwasher safe. That’s just his preference.
The 'bowl' design of the adapter is a splash guard in the even the cup comes off the base as in the blooper of this video. This also protects the user from being exposed to spinning blades. In regards to the price, the adapter is extremely well-built and it will last for many years. This is not cheap quality: you get what you pay for. I will say that it is rather easy to clean, but people with big hands should try using a brush to clean it. These can be scored on sale if you look hard enough. I really like this adapter kit.
I bought two from Henry just now; Vitamix is running a 20%-off sale on accessories. And I just posted the pretty much the same thing you did about the design--great minds think alike!
Ok, but the ascent series and personal blender do not use this tall adapter. They do not get the splash guard or a safety for spinning blades. This doesn't sound like a feature at all. It's in the way, and unwanted by virtually all the vitamix customers. I don't get it. Why dont they give us the same design as the ascent series?
Henry, I love your videos, even though i just started watching. You're very funny and charismatic, but also very in-depth with your information. My question is this: I am just starting to get into all of this mixing, juicing, blending stuff, so it's all new to me, but from your videos I can tell that the Vitamix is better than the Nutribullet and Ninja.....If money was not an issue, could you please name the best top 2 or 3 Vitamix blender machines? I want a strong one that will do it all from smoothies, to ice cream, soup, etc. Thank you!!
silenthillvictim I have the 5200. I called Vitamix and was able to get a good deal w/ refurbished and same warranty as new. I researched a lot and didn’t need the bells and whistles. I’m very happy. There are a few videos that show the 5200. It makes soups, too. I also make different butters, sauces, etc. every few years, America’s Test Kitchen does a comparison and they seem to always prefer the 5200.
This is surely too late but I felt bad that nobody answered you.
Whats the point of the shield part if it cant hold anything in case of a spill like you showed.
Very good blender worth the price
Thank you! I had no idea how to clean it
Glad I could help!
Vitamix, this cup adapter is a big no-no. I would like to see just the cup with the adapter with the blade for all the models. Cleaning is very awkward, no thanks.
Upvoted for keeping the blooper in the video!
Why did they put a shroud around the top of the cup, unlike the Ascent blades?
Dude your laugh is great haha
Awkward is the key word I would use to describe the adapter, especially in regards to attaching it to a cup and cleaning. I find myself hitting my knuckles against the adapter fairly often when screwing on the cup. Hand washing is no different. Why are the sides so high?
I hope they make a S-Series Blade Base for older model blenders.
musinga that's the only reason I'm not buying the personal adapter, why didn't make it like they did with the S series and the ascent series, plus it does look ugly (my personal opinion).
generationfourth have you seen the accent series version? I don’t think it was a safety design
Hello Henry, I enjoy the videos thank you. The design of this attachment I agree seems very odd. I have a question, The "blending bowls" accessory says it's for the Ascent series with the "smart technology". Will the blending bowls fit this personal cup attachment? From what I can tell the "smart technology" sensors are in the attachment that comes in contact with the base of the Vitamix base itself. The dimensions of the personal cup attachment and the bowl attachment sure look identical to the naked eye. A video of that would be cool! :)
Thank you.
The 8oz bowl is not compatible and Vitamix does not support the attempted use of it. It will cause stress on the motor and voids the warranty.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thank you Henry
Does anyone know the reason for the piece with the blade to be so big and chunky? and why does it have holes on the bottom?
I feel like there's a reason for the design, but I can't seem to understand why.
I LOVE my 11 year old vitamix. And while I think this is an intriguing idea... even easier for me is my massive double insulated stainless steel smoothie cup with a lid and straw. And it was $30 for. Costco for 2. Make the smoothie and pour. This looks like a hassle to me and takes up more space.
Henry, whats the diameter of the mouth of adaptor cup?
Thanks how can i. Het those. Small adapters. Please.
I got this with my CostsCo Vitamix purchase.
I do not see why the adaptor needs to come up so high. I’m thinking of taking my Dremel tool and taking the top 5 inches off leaving just an inch of the side walls.
What do you think?
I wouldn't recommend that since it voids your warranty.
Never mind I see that you mentioned the 750 as an adaptable model. Doesn't seem like the washing process is simple especially if you need to use a butter knife to remove the rim yikes!
And I'm wondering how you would get the gasket back on....not easily or quickly I imagine. I wish they came up with a better design. They can if they really want to I'm sure. There is a demand for it, but a trully user friendly one.
Can the 8 oz. cup that has its own blade and does not require the adaptor be also used with the pro 750? It says it is made for the ascent series.
The 8oz blending cup is specifically designed for Vitamix machines with the wireless connection system and those are the Ascent and Venturist machines only.
I have the A3500 model I ordered through your link. of the 2 cup adapters shown on Vitamix page which one fits my system??
Hey right on John! Thanks for your order. The A3500 does not require the use of the adapter so you want to buy the cups that are stand-alone. The ones that come with the adapter are not compatible with the A3500.
@@BlendingWithHenry YOU THE MAN! I have been on many peoples RUclips and you are the first one that has ever responded with a real answer not an auto response. been watching for a while and got the VM because of you.
Thank you John! Glad I could help and I appreciate you supporting me! 🙏🏾😍
Good video!
Hi Henry, does the adapter work with the 8 oz. bowl too?
Sorry no one answered in one year. But no you cant use the 8oz bowl.
Henry, not a big fan of this adapter. Also, if you watched Henry one thing NOT to do after blending is to turn it upside down and immediately unscrew it. Wait about a minute until the ingredients settle back into the cup. Otherwise, you will still have liquid in the blade area. Also, notice how much liquid (orange juice) Henry used. If you do not use that much, be sure to place your frozen ingredients in last. Remember, there is no tamper so the only thing bringing the ingredients to the blade is gravity.
You add the frozen stuff in the reverse order that you'd use in the big container, i.e. first instead of last.
WOW $$$$$ good video. I,m going to wait for a improved one.
Understandable. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏾👨🏾🍳😍
Hey, does this container works with the ascent models?
It's not compatible. Also the Ascent models don't need the adapter. They use a specific compatible 20oz cup with blades that doesn't use an adapter.
Hey Henry, I wanted to know if this would work with my quiet one.
Unfortunately not. The centering pad on the Quiet one is designed to fit only the commercial accessories.
@@BlendingWithHenry Thank you :) almost bought one for myself haha
Can this adaptor with cups be used with the professional 750 series?
It most certainly can.
can I use the 8oz blending bowl with this adapter on my 5200 blender?
It's not supported by Vitamix.
Can you use the small little bowl with the cup adaptor?
Unfortunately, no.
For single servings, how does the personal cup adapter compare to the 32 ounce container?
Depends on the type of recipe. Some recipes may require the use of a tamper and the 20oz blending cup won't be useful.
Is this useful to make dressings and sauces?
Hi Tammy. Yes you can easily make dressing in the 20oz cups. I do it quite often. A real time saver.
Is there a personal cup and adapter for the Vitamix 780?
The product in this video is fits the 780. 😊
Will mason jar fit that new personal adaptor of vitamix?
Not compatible.
What's the use of that container that houses the blade?
Don't know for sure, but it looks to be a splash guard.
Why the outer plastic? Just make a blade assemble and call it a day. Would have been nice if they just made the base slot the same on both the older and newer models blender. Just another way to squeeze more money out of people.
It looks like it makes it really difficult to put on... but we saw why they did it in this video. 1:43. Just imagine if the bowl wasnt there to stop it... He would have had juice all over his kitchen.
@@michaelmeyer4059 which is a design flaw then, because they are basically saying "we couldn't engineer a way around it like every other single serve blender, so we over engineered it."
This really doesn't look like a time saver compared to just using the existing vitamix container Imo.
1. Cleaning appears tobe more time consuming and requires more resources. Along with the repetitive removal & replacement of the gasket which will cause premature wear Imo.
2. The large walled design doesn't protect from gasket failure so it is basically useless Imo again.
My family uses the vitamix daily & was interested in this attachment until watching this video which was enlightening, Thanks Henry.
Good points.
Hey Henry thanks for the reply & your many great videos. We've owned many vitamix even an old chrome one. The last one we lost in a total loss fire a couple of years ago. It was one of the first appliances we replaced although not the fanciest one for now.
I love the Vitamix 3600. The chrome body is a beauty. It's behind glass at the Vitamix headquarters. Thanks for watching. 🙏🏾😊
Is it easy to put the gasket back in the adapter?
Very easy.
I have a $75 coupon/rebate...can I still order through your website, and get free shipping? Want to purchase the adapter with single-serve cups.
Hi, what type of coupon is it? Did it come from Amazon or Vitamix?
@@BlendingWithHenry coupon came from vitamix. Was able to use...just ordered the adapter and personal cups through your link...got free shipping. Thanks!
Oh perfect! Thanks so much for your support. The Personal Cup adapter works very well. If you have ever have questions about when you receive it please reach out.
Do this work with the Vitamix Super 5000?
Yes, it's compatible with all 5000 series machines.
Work with E310? How tall is adapter part?
Does this work on the vitamix pro 750 series?
What is the point of the outer cup? Why isn't it just like the ascent series?
Understandable
Can i use the 8ox cup with this?
Hi Dina. It's not recommended by Vitamix. It can fit but Vitamix said it will void your warranty.
Can Ifit 80z. Adapt on 5200 vita mix?
Not compatible with the 8oz bowl.
it works ok unless you use frozen fruits. They all get stuck because the cup is so thin.
Do you have an updated promo code?
The link in the Show More section below the video contains the code to waive the shipping. It also gives my customer's orders priority in the factory. Your order will be prepared quicker above standard orders for delivery.
Does this vitamix personal cup fit to 7500 ?
It most certainly does.
why the contraption? Just sell the cups and use the regular container... The cups and lids are cool, but the rest of this $130 thing are totally unnecessary. Great video, but honestly, Henry, would you actually use the adapter rather than just make a smoothie the regular way in the regular container and then just POUR it into the cups?
My regular pitcher is YUGE and just too much to deal with for the small batches. How about a 32oz pitcher, or even just a 24oz?
They sell the cups in pairs.
@@IWantMyCountryBack2 They have a 32-oz. container.
Explorian? E310?
They could have designed the adapter with shorter wall.
I bought one but i really didn't like it. I love the actual Vitamix but not the personal one.
Hi Henry so after using this adapter for over 3 years would you say it's worth the money?
I haven't been using it since I generally use the Vitamix Ascent that doesn't use an adapter. The adapter does work.
Hi Warren Moon 😜. Just kidding! Thanks for the video.
Haha, I just checked who he was. Never heard of him. Thanks for watching!!
@@BlendingWithHenry - I'm from Houston and Warren Moon was our QB back in the day! My Vitamix will be here on 4/22/2020. Time to make some smoothies 😉
@@deenugent473 Yeah looks like he was way back before my time of becoming a football fan. I'm Niners all the way, but up until Brady's last day I've also liked New England. Don't throw a smoothie at me for that. 😃
@@BlendingWithHenry - No sir, I wouldn't do that. Cheers with a smoothie! 🍷🥤
how easy is it to put the gasket back in?
As simple as 3 seconds with no effort.
01:40 I thought the deep cup design was to contain any spillage.
Those holes are for when washing the bowl the water and soap flows out of it. All Vitamix containers have those holes towards the bottom for that exact reason.
Liked and shared!
Who disliked this video😡😡😡😡
Thank U!!! 👍
Henry I have been watching all videos for over 2months now and l used to own the original Vitamix with the metal jar with a little spigot attached to it I wish I didn't give it a way to a family member I am ready to jump back in to the vitamix world again! l would like buy one from you Henry.l would prefer to by all the type the chiefs uses all that come with it and more can you help me Henry O and I TURNING 60 ON THE 22ND OF JUNE😇😉😈😎😛😁
OHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO! 1:46
Thanks for reminding me about this. Funny! 😍
Why do you always play that piano song when you pour the drink? 😂😂😂.. I know why 👍
" I know why 👍" Oh you do? Please share. 😊
Wish they were 30 ounce, I find it too small
is it just me or can anyone open the spill proof lid?
It's quite a firm spout. Understandably in case one takes it on the go such as a bike ride or hiking and they won't have to worry about the spout opening and spilling inside their backpack.
Code #06-008687 what is the price?
Thought about this while making my 500 ml smoothie this morning.. think I’ll pass. Looks like too much of a hassle for the price.
how are you doing hope you are very well yesterday i messaged you after few hours google told me you messaged me right now i am having throbble with my laptop i still do not know what you you may have said talk to you later after i fix my problem with google laptop.looking forward to reading the message from you my friend
Hi Grigor! I replied to your email. In short I said that the Vitamix Pro 750 is being discontinued and looks to be no longer available in your country. Vitamix does not ship from the USA to the UK. They have a specific UK store. You may want to check out the Vitamix Ascent A3500i for £675. See here ➜bit.ly/2JpNDdI
Can you blend Peanuts or Rice for small portions? instead of using the big Jar?
You can definitely do that. You can purchase the optional 32oz or 48oz container, but then included 64oz tall container is perfect for small recipes since it's narrow at the bottom. Really no need to purchase a smaller container. I've always loved this style of container.
@@BlendingWithHenry My fave as well. It's SO versatile.
I will be returning mine. It’s a pain to wash the cups. They have big bulges on the sides and is hard to get to the bottom. This is especially hard if your 8 year old leaves the cup in his room to get crusty. 🤦🏻♀️ Also, there are times when the frozen fruit doesn’t blend at all! You need way too much liquid.
no it is not easy to clean
Why not just screw the blade on the cup?
This is so unnecessary. Why would they raise the plastic so much if it doesn't even hold the liquid because of the holes? Why not leave it low in order to make it easier to maneuver? My guess is Vitamix just made it this way to force you to purchase the ascent machines.Honestly, this looks like it might be in one of those "dumbest tech designs" list in a few years.
I highly doubt Vitamix went through the trouble spending millions of dollars on R&D and production just to put out a product that many people may not see a need a for (speaking about single-serve blending) just to "force" people into buying their Ascent machines.
Yeah horrible look
Not a fan of the bowl design. Would be really awkward to attach an 8-oz container for spices, coffee, and baby food.
The 8oz Bowl is not compatible with it.
Too much of a faff for me, but thanks for the review. 👍👍👍
Fair enough!
I like my smoothie really icy. This made it too liquidy. Hmmm...glad I watched. Maybe I won't buy it.
It all depends on the recipe.
Wow looks so stupid I'll just used my container that it came with
O-Ring is a deal breaker NO THANKS
Nice vid. Horrible vitamix design in my opinion. They could do it without the ugly adapter easily
Henry, whats the diameter of the mouth of adaptor cup?
