Thanks for reviewing this car. I have a black 2021 CT4 500T and really like it. Thoroughly enjoy it, even in heavy traffic. The power and acceleration, even in "tour" mode, are impressive. Shout out to Cadillac for that engine. I read that it shares the same platform as the Chevy Camaro, which I think is a plus.
Let me ask you a question. What does the 500 on the Mercedes S 500 mean? Here’s a hint: it doesn’t mean it has a 5 liter V-8, because it has a 3.0T. What does the 450 mean on the Mercedes EQS 450? Well, it doesn’t mean it has a 4.5 V8. It has zero liters in fact.
Not one person who has complained about Cadillac’s secondary badging strategy has ever answered these question. Let’s see if you are honest to try to answer those questions.
I’m pretty sure that AWD means 2 wheels spin, one in back & one in front. 4x4 would be all 4 wheels have a drive train mechanism. I’m very humble & if I need to be schooled, by all means, teach me as I’m shopping for a CT4 as we speak!
Your hopping to trade 2 vehicles in for one? Or trading an xt4 for a ct4? Can't speak to the US but in Canada you can spec a ct4-v 2.7 for as low as $61k-CAD without supercruise/surround vision. Or a ct4 premium luxury 2.7L for $56500-CAD without supercruise/surround vision, with premium paint/mid rim option. Payments depend on interest rate, term and trade value. And if you want more aesthetic extras. Should be similar if not the same as xt4
Actually in real life, most ppl do not have the seat all the way back if someone is in back of them. In this video it shows the front seats in their farthest up-and-back positions. People usually just ask if you have enough room and negotiate the space, so it is seldom a problem. If you need more room, the CT5 resolves that problem. Of course for me, I'm retired and never have anyone in the back seat (my SLK350 has NO back seats). Funny thing, I let my 5 yo grandson ride with me into the garage, and he looked around and asked "where do people sit in back?". So I guess people do worry about those in back.
@@ClemsonTiger75 yep, good review (i subscribed after watching) but the driver seat in the 6'6" comfort position to demonstrate back seat leg room was a ..... reach.
It’s their smallest and cheapest offering and many ppl like this size u could always buy a ct5. It’s not any smaller than an Audi A3, Mercedes A class, BMW 2 series gran coupe etc.
LOL - Heated steering wheel, great fit-and-finish, great paint, can open the glove box w/o drilling thru menus (while you crash trying to find the right screen), sunroof, nice wheels, far cheaper price, plenty of buttons for easy access to allow keeping my eyes on the road, etc is why ppl buy Cadillac and not Tesla (and I own TSLA stock and not selling because of ppl like you that adore Tesla). My son owns one of the first Model X made (2016) and niece owns an S. I drove an S back in 2016, so I know they're good, but NOT for everyone.

Great review of the Cadillac!
Thanks. Very informative. Test drive upcoming
Nice review from Alberta
Awesome review. Thx a bunch for the details.
Rear trunk 500T & AWD: Time to get your blow dryer & remove some emblems. The trunk surface looks much too cluttered & the 500T is nonesense.

Good review. BTW, how did you like the Electronic Gear Shift as opposed to a conventional gear shift?
Thank you, Charles! I’m still a fan of conventional. That said, I see how the industry is changing.

i’m hoping to trade in a 2023 xt4 and a ct4 but so far can’t find one to match payment I make now but hopefully I will.

almost a sport to but it’s not. sport model is the best looking to bad they don’t make a lot hard to find
Almost a V? Lol. It’s a 4 cylinder that gets worse gas mileage than most 6s.
I think it is ridiculous that there is no leg room in the back. It’s supposed to be a luxury vehicle. Not a fan.

Luxury comes in many sizes, my friend.
Well they haven’t met my husband who is 6’3 and my kids that two are also 6 feet.
