      @@viewsonvehicles Thanks for the link, and again thanks for your review. Are you willing to ponder whether you think this CT5-V or the BMW 3 or 5 series I6 cars will be more reliable? I haven't heard much good regarding reliability for either brand in recent years. I just know I prefer the CT5-V appearance-wise. Also, do you know of any reputable ECU tuners for either brand? It would be nice to get this Caddy into the mid 12's 🙂

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  Год назад

      @@jsfbay1 Oof, man, reliability is a hard one. I really love the way the CT5 drives and looks, but drove it with only a few thousand miles on it. I have never personally owned a Cadillac, but owned several German cars now, BMW and Audi, and found them reasonably reliable, but expensive when they brake. I'd like to think parts on the Cadillac would cost less. But I do not have any data to back that up.

    I still favor the Cadillac CTS comparable to the CT5 because the cheaper interior materials the CT5 has while the CTS interior material was more premium with the usage of real metal and leather on higher trims than the cheaper plastic the CT5 offers.

    I think it's all these media car reviewers that are ruining cars. Your average ordinary car buyer doesn't give 3 craps about 0-60 times. It's made the auto manufacturers making cars for reviews instead of buyers.

    Just like Sean said below I too purchased the 2023 CT5 Premium Luxury with the turbo charged 4 cylinder. I really wanted the 6 cylinder but was talked of it because the dealer told me that GM was considering not using the 6 on the CT5 and I may not receive my ordered car that took three months from order to delivery. I’m not totally unhappy about the 4 cylinder but feel stupid for not ordering the 6 after viewing your video. What Say You?! By the way did you test drive the 4 cylinder? Rich

    • @viewsonvehicles
      @viewsonvehicles  Год назад +1

      That's frustrating, I do not know why the dealer would say that. I did test drive the 2.0-liter, but years ago when it was first introduced in the CT6, back when Cadillac still built the CT6. I found it a perfectly fine engine. I did recently drive another 4-cyl in a Cadillac, the 2.7-liter in the CT4: ruclips.net/video/0I4BvaAm43c/видео.html

      Cadillac in the 1950s and early 60s was larger, had a ride that felt like you were floating on air which meant much less fatigue on long drives, was a head turner, and had plenty of power. Now when you see one on the road, it and many other luxury vehicles are indistinguishable from other cars. They look like every other car and are less dependable than most foreign brands.
