I test drove the Cadillac CT4, I'd call it a good everyday driver car. The term 'Luxury' is debatable. The CT4 needs a few features to be able to be fall into the 'Luxury' zone. The car NEEDS folding mirrors, push-button rear closing deck lid and some revisions to it's instrumentation. There should also be a Coupe version (two doors), and a Convertible! Hey, if you're mimicking German, go all the way! Tired of driving trucks and SUV's, Caddy needs to up the anti with more car models. Germans (M-B, BMW & Audi) manufacture cars from the $30's to $180,000++ They build a lot of models and they sell everyone of them!
I wonder how the twin scroll 2.0 stacks up to the 2.7 in performance and gas mileage and if the twin scrolled turbo would be more of a mechanical nightmare?
Unfortunately, I haven’t. Lincoln’s PR team doesn’t think people in Texas drive Lincolns so we don’t get them in our journalist press fleet very often. I do need to find a way to get some seat time in some though 👍
do all premium luxury models have the digital dashboard. and does it give you the throttle and g force gage option to look at. or is that only for the sport models? if I can’t afford a sport model I may look for a luxury or premium luxury model and get a black girl and black mirror and a spoiler.
Ct4 with 2.7L engine is only on prem lux. The sport actually can't get the 2.7L engine. You have to go to the ct4-v which gets a slightly tuned up version of the 2.7L engine if you want the sport appearance with performance. Differences are the window trim, door handles, grill, and V badging. The seats also get some nicer trim in the V.
Cadillac is an American car company. But their biggest market is China - and by a lot. In 2021 Cadillac sold about twice as many Cadillacs in China that the US. Cadillac is trying to be a global company and sticking to US customary system, which is derived from British imperial system of measurement won’t work as Cadillac undertake such efforts. Besides, you know which system scientists and engineers use when they conduct science and engineering experiments and write about science and engineering? The International Systems of Units. As we move into the electric vehicle era, engine size is no longer relevant as size has no substantive difference in terms of power and torque. And really when it comes to engine size we don’t measure the volume by quarts or ounces, but by liters or cubic centimeters. If Americans can understand liters or cubic centimeters, then we are smart enough to understand newton meters. I have seen near obsessive levels of whining by American car critics over Cadillac’s secondary badging nomenclature. Real quick: what does 330i mean? 330 horsepower? 330 cubic centimeters? . . . . The 3 refers to the fact that it’s a 3 Series vehicle. The 30 indicates the size of the engine. So, does that mean it has a 30 cubic centimeter engine? Well that makes no sense. Maybe it’s a 30 liter engine? Well, that would be insane. When you read 330i, you have to imagine that there is a decimal between the 3 and the 0. Somehow nobody frets about BMW’s invisible decimal and, really, only a small number of people bother to ask what the numbers mean. Ans then there is that ‘I’. What does that mean? It means “injected.” See, when the 3 Series came out it was a big deal that an engine had direct fuel injected engine. The “I” stands for injected. It’s kind of silly looking today because all engines have fuel injection. So, today, it’s rather tautological. If your engine has direct fuel injection. Let’s go on. What does 560 stand for on the S Class 560? A 5.6 liter engine? Nope. A 560 cubic centimeter engine? Nope. 560 horsepower? A long time ago the 560 meant 560 cubic centimeters. But now it’s there of tradition. The secondary badging on the S Class means absolutely nothing. So, out of BMW, Mercedes and Cadillac none of them have a very clear meaning for their their secondary badging. But Cadillac is the clearest: it’s the rounded up approximation of how much torque the engine produces. And Cadillac’s secondary badging is the only one that will have any relevance in the upcoming electric age.

great looking ride! Love the Cadillac CT5, drove one of those for work once. Really interesting about the 500T emblem too. :)
Lol thanks
Such a great car, what do you think?

Beautifully styled car. I agree that the Newton meter badging is completely stupid.
🙌🏻 lol thanks
I'm going to get one for my birthday in January.
The number stands for how many Newton meters of torque it puts out.
Lol yup, or does it? It’s still just a fudged number at the end of the day.
@@txGarage That's direct from GM and I work for a dealer. May not be the EXACT number but it's a nice rounded figure.
Yeah that’s all I was saying.

Always liked Cadillacs but have you compared them to late model Lincoln sedans?

is it more fun ct 4 sport? or is that just for looks
This one is just more luxury, not sportiness
@@txGarage that’s on looks but does it drive the same as the sport model. it’s the same engine.
@@michaelschneider1365 can't get 2.7L engine in the sport.
Need the V.

A black girl huh….
is the sport model better then the bmw or is it the same as the premium luxury and it’s just the looks outside

I have buyer’s remorse should have gotten ct4 v but got countryman instead. now i’m definitely getting ct4 in late 2024 when my lease is halfway up.
