    Your videos have changed my life and not a day goes by without me thinking of them! I am in my mid-30's and never had a care in the world. Out of nowhere two years ago I got some horrible stomach pains that wouldn't go away (never found out what it was - all doctors said I was fine) and it turned me into a nervous wreck. Luckily the pains are mostly gone now but the whole thing was so traumatic it gave me severe anxiety. I had it all - agoraphobia, health anxiety, physical symptoms, etc. I'm not 100% better but I am on my way to recovery thanks to you.
    To anyone reading this who is struggling - it's a long hard road, but listen to his advice and follow it!

    Bro. I am you, now. Ive stopped leaving my bed, I’m afraid to stand up and move around or exercise, so I stay in bed 24/7. I sleep all day to avoid being alone during the day, while my family are at work. Then all night I stay up on my phone etc and I gently walk sometimes crawl down stairs to get food or go to the toilet. I’m too scared to go to the toilet when I need to as it creates uncomfortable feelings like breathlessness racing heart heavy feelings when I empty my bladder or bowels, so I hold it in until I’ve eaten and drank some food so that I’m not fully empty. (Crazy safety behaviours) I’ve stopped working, stopped seeing friends, a ghost, anxiety has robbed my whole life. I’ve been to hospital about 10 times in the past 6 months. Each time they’ve sent me home saying there’s nothing physically wrong with me, just anxiety. This is a scary debilitating condition. I’ve been diagnosed with “panic disorder” “health anxiety” “agoraphobia” “depression” and “GAD”. At times I have to sleep with my parents, I’m to afraid to be on my own in the house in case it finally kills me, my life is a huge mess. I just exist. Literally. No exaggeration. My symptoms are indescribable. They are numerous, your top 50 symptom video, I have them all plus way more. Im so anxious 24/7 that I feel starving constantly, I’m to scared to start antidepressants and beta blockers which the doctors have prescribed. I’m in a nightmare. In fully locked and caged up in avoidance, safety behaviour and no life. I lost my girlfriend recently because she got fed up of waiting for me to “get better”. I’ve lived this way for 3 years and 8 months. What’s my chances of getting better, I feel that I am the worst case of anxiety to have ever existed.
    Extra - I’ve been through all conventional help. I’ve received CBT therapy, I’ve been given loads of stupid techniques and methods, I’ve been prescribed loads of medication which I refuse to take, I’ve spoken to counsellors, therapists, psychiatrists, doctors, cardiologist, mental health nurses, priests, clinical psychologists, I’ve read all the self help information possible. I’ve read thousands of books, I’ve listened to podcasts, I’ve paid for memberships and courses and private therapy sessions. I’ve been told so many different things about anxiety that it’s screwed my head up, some say do this, others say do the opposite. I could cry. My life is misery and I’m broken, what works for others doesn’t work for me, I am the one rare case that doesn’t get better. Because something must be really wrong with me, and anxiety is just the result.

    Hey Man, I just wanted to thank you for the videos you’ve been posting throughout the years. A couple of years ago I experienced anxiety without realizing that’s what it was and I overcame it without really paying attention so it was kind of a freak incident type of thing. I watched your videos back then but I don’t think it really clicked with me. Well, about a year ago after being okay for almost four years a bunch of stressful things happened and it came back ten times worse probably close to the point of how you experienced it and it was probably the scariest thing I’ve ever experienced. But through your videos I’ve been able to fully understand hat anxiety is and how it’s created and I just wanted to thank you for continuing to make these videos. You’re doing a good thing for people man.

    My doctor told me you only need to be checked a couple times and that’s it you need to stop constantly going to get checked it’s a huge waste of money instead use that money to enjoy life keep yourself busy and it will go away constantly giving it attention will only make it worse. I have very intense anxiety for many months but now it’s very low it’s not as bad as it used to be I still get physical symptoms but instead of going to the doctors whenever something pops up I let it be there with me and eventually it goes away. I am 90% recovered all I need now is the symptoms to go away it may take time but it will all be gone some day

    My muscle tension is so intense , I had an MRI done and it showed some hernias and some arthritis of the facet joints. I thought that was the root of my problems. So I read the symptoms (headache, pain, insomnia) , a doctor tricked me into a surgery to replace 3 cervical discs and it cost me $50k and I’m still suffering. Sad but true. I wanted a fast fix like with pills 💊.

    Hi, thank you for sharing this. Did you recover from anxiety with or without meds? I share your initial symptoms and I feel like I’m improving everyday with incorporating health habits. I’m still not 100% myself. My psychiatrist is positive I’ll recover with CBT+ healthy habits and without any medications. I would like to hear your experience.

    I have a doubt .. it's been a year since I m in this mess.. it all started from a nerve pain and i Googled it..also i had a previous episode of panick attack and depression but I didn't know what it was at that time but I overcame it.. bu that feeling of emptiness and feeling of rushing blood from toe to head and then not knowing why it happened, stuck with me.. after 2 year one morning i experienced same rush of blood but a milder version.. since then i m afraid about being depressed and fear of suicide and fear of going crazy and having abnormal thoughts.. googling and youtubing methods made it persist.. I m at a point where I don't know what to do and what to follow.. all the methods stuck with me.. my mind automatically starts to problem solve even when I m absolutely have zero anxiety.. in fact I never visited hospital becos of panic.. pls help me on what to do .. or just a starting point of what should I do? Ur insight on my condition

    • @ImprovementPath
      @ImprovementPath  5 месяцев назад +4

      It was a combination of substances, alcohol, little sleep, stress at work and general aimlessness in life plus low self-esteem and not presenting my true self that probably caused all this. Thats my best guess.. what you think triggered it for you?
