    Part 2: Symptoms Decoded
Delve into the common symptoms of cardiophobia, including palpitations, chest tightness, and breathlessness. Understand the impact on daily life as these symptoms intensify over time.
    Part 3: The Genesis
Discover how heart anxiety often emerges unexpectedly, triggered by stress or anxiety attacks, activating the fight or flight response. Uncover the cycle that ensnares individuals, perpetuating fear and panic attacks.
    Part 4: The Downward Spiral
Explore the accelerated decline as individuals seek medical reassurance, perpetuating a cycle of tests, clear results, and renewed anxiety. Witness the cycle's impact on mental and physical well-being.
    Part 5: Quest for Control
Follow the journey of seeking control over symptoms, often misunderstood, leading to a continuous loop of anxiety. Understand the pitfalls of fixating on symptoms and the futile pursuit of reassurance.
Part 6: The True Path to Recovery
Challenge misconceptions about acceptance as a quick fix. Embrace a deeper understanding that acceptance is not a tool to eliminate symptoms but a process to allow your body and mind time to calm down and recover.
Discover the transformative approach to recovery by developing curiosity around your body's reactions. Release the need for absolute control and embark on a journey of self-improvement, incorporating small changes for lasting positive impact. Reclaim your life from anxiety and cultivate genuine acceptance for a brighter future.
Realize that conventional methods may have failed, and only by building habits of self-improvement can you break free from anxiety's grip, leaving it behind for good.

One thing I’ve learned that helped me is if it’s anxiety and not an actual heart attack getting up and walking around to feel better is actually not a heart attack because walking around would actually make it feel worse

After 15 years of panic attacks and severe cardiac anxiety, last week I was laying on the floor and saying to myself “f this, just kill me already. I don’t care anymore.” Since then, I’ve managed every single attack without reaching full panic mode. That is the true cure. You must accept it.

I was like you. I did all the tests I even stopped working for 3 months straight.
One day I had a panic attack again and I went to the ER again but this time the blood test gave me false positive, I can’t explain my feelings at that day when I took the ambulance and went to near city ( 120 km)I thought I am dying.
When I arrived they took blood and do ECG and I was shocked that the doctor say IT IS NORMAL. At this time I feel like switch in my life I take action I STOPPED GOOGLING, I become more religion, went to gym, walking everyday and become more social person.
My advice to anyone having the same after taking all the tests and everything, if it’s normal just ignore and make good habits.

I’ve been to the hospital twice just this week alone and Done numerous tests.
Blood tests, ECG, Having the doctors listening to my breathing and heartbeats with a stethoscope. And even an ultrasound of my heart. Every time they keep saying that my heart looks and sounds healthy except for the anxiety induced tacychardia.
Whenever i just go on walks or try to exercise i get dizzy and have chest pains and the full 9 yards.
It’s gotten so bad that i don’t even want to get out of bed in the morning. I fear doing literally anything that requires me to be up on my feet because i think that it’s gonna make my heart stop.
Sometimes it feels like my heart just stops and i get fuzzy and can’t even feel a pulse for a few seconds and my vision almost goes black and sends me into full panic mode.
I’m trying to convince myself that it’s just anxiety but it’s damn near impossible.
Anxiety is horrible and i wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. I sincerely hope that everyone who struggles with it gets better.

I had no idea this was a thing. I was rushed into A&E two years ago and spent 6h there, they did all the tests and found nothing wrong and sent me home. When I go to bed my heart rate is normal, about 60-70, then I wake up between 2-3am with my heart racing at 120 like I'm about to have a heart attack and I don't know why. I often cry myself to sleep because I think my heart is failing. Recently I accepted it might be all mental and not actually physical. I haven't had junk food in three months, I work out 3x week and I'm not overweight, don't drink alcohol or smoke. I was under a lot of stress in the past 2-3 years so that could be manifesting itself, but I did recognise what was bothering me subsconsciously so I'm fixing that at the moment. I was in a denial for years, but in the end I caved and accepted it and now trying to mend things. I am still sensitive to my heart rate, if it's not 60-70 I start to panic because I think something is wrong and that just makes everything worse. This is what is helping me:
    1. I eat two meals at 9am and then 1pm or just one large meal and don't eat or drink for the rest of the day unless I'm thirsty. Goes without saying I say away from eating or drinking anything processed. (that makes sure I digest my food easily and quickly throughout the day so my heart rate drops by the evening when it's most noticeable and that calms me down)
    2. I workout 3x week where I sweat a lot and I do easy/light 20min cardio first thing in the morning and in the evening on days where I don't train sports! I come home and have a hot shower. (that makes my heart less noticeable, before my entire body would vibrate with the heart, now with regular exercise I don't sense it unless I really focus on it and that makes all the difference)
3.I twitch my pointer and middle fingers whenever I sense my heart beat, moving fingers makes the heat rate sensation go away for some reason but I found it helps me if it gets bad
4.I'm trying to not care whether I have a heart attack and die or not. I can't live like this in constant fear so I can't give a F anymore honestly. Whatever happens happens and that makes it a lot easier to cope. I made sure I put all my assets to my parent's name and created a document explaining in case of my death here are all my online accounts with credentials and how to delete them, banks accounts, etc. (that lifts a lot of pressure of what happens if I die)
5.vitamin D (I take it religiously every day throughout winter until it gets warm and sunny again, it makes ALL the difference!)
I'm still not completely over it but getting there.I did come to terms of what's causing all this and I think I can fix it but I need some more time. Until then the above has mostly been helpful to me, I hope someone out there will find it helpful as well.

I need to just let it go and tell myself it’s fine and just crack on , what will be will be but I can’t . Over 5 years now

I was in the same boat but something switched in me that made me stop obsessing over these numbers. Looking back I am almost sure that it was making BIG life changes for me (starting my business, getting in shape and meeting my now wife) all these things became my priority and anxiety slowly moved to the background and eventually disappeared. Hence why I preach that one will need to make life changes for oneself and not for anxiety. Try to improve yourself and become a confident person by working towards your dream life. Once you see some positive effects you will feel that wave of pride that will flush out anxiety

I still struggle with this, but I’ve gotten a lot better about it. If anyone needs some help, I’ll say this:
Your heart isn’t supposed to be at resting rate all day everyday. That’s why there’s something called “training heart rate” which is literally the heart rate at which you exercise. Not to mention, when you’re walking around or just doing every day tasks. Of course it’s gonna beat faster. Doing cardio, also trains your heart, to help make it stronger!
And as for the “correct” BPM, it’s different for everyone. And remember, even A heart that beats too slow, can also be a problem.
My main things I need to remember is to watch my caffeine intake, and to breathe.
If you genuinely think you might have an undiagnosed condition, call your doctor. But definitely make sure it isn’t all in your head, at first. Overthinking, and googling, can convince you of some goofy things. I speak from experience. 😂 hope this helps.

Yes. I thought I was having a heart attack. Even went to the ER. ECG said my heart was fine. Doctor put me on anxiety meds for 2 weeks (Urbanol), and prohibited me from consuming anything that contains caffeine. That really helped. Didn't experience it again for almost 14 months until a day ago....I can pin-point it to stress, high caffeine, intake, wine, not getting enough sleep and fast food - which elevated my heartburn and caused the onset of my panic attack again.

Oh my gosh you nailed every word I’ve been experiencing for the last past year it’s been 8 months literally!!! But I had losted more loved ones over the years and have been thru so much but when I lost my uncle back in may & then someone close to me a month after then after that another month someone I knew then in September my little cousin got murdered I just couldn’t control myself of overthinking then I started panicking all in all out of nowhere like never before !! In the car I would freak out out of nowhere, then at night before bed & one morning I woke up had felt like my heart was racing as I was laying down through my mattress at like 6 am I was freaking out so bad I didn’t know what was going on never had a problem like this before this was back in November I called the ambulance an they said it was heart palpitations knowing I had no clue even what that was and I got my heart rate up to 1:30 but I had told them I’ve been feeling like I’ve been dealing with real bad anxiety lately more than ever before I’ve been so scared smh anyways did a holter monitor for 7 days an my results said something about sinus tachycardia 😮which is guess is normal and my doctor said everything was good no signs of anything bad like of death because I had impending doom so badly and also did two chest X-rays and EKGs and them where normal soo it all fell down to me just having really bad anxiety & it’s just now starting to ease up due to yoga, meditation & focusing on going to the gym to clear my mind & work on a healthy body overall I pray that everyone finds healing ❤️❤️🥰

I’m not quite sure to be honest. I do have an at home blood pressure monitor but I put it away and don’t use it.
My fear is that since I have had this constant “anxiety for no reason” now for so long then maybe my blood pressure has been bad for a long time and the damage is done. That’s just catastrophic thinking.
Instead of trying to take my blood pressure until I see a number I like, I am instead trying to accept my anxiety and focus on lowering stress and continue with healthy lifestyle changes (eating more potassium, more cardio, meditation etc).
