“Richard no one supposed to know about us”
Gets me every time lmao
"Maybe he won't see us
Richard!"
Lmfao
Not her best moment but hilarious
1:18 In that moment, Chandler must've thought: "What is it with the Gellers and saying the wrong names (the names of ther exes)?!?!"
Monica: Oh my god. Richard!
Chandler: What? I’m Chandler.
Richard: We use to date.
Chandler: Richard. No one’s supposed to know about us.
LMFAO 😂😂😂
It's these kind of dialogues that are now a bit hard to watch. RIP Chandler. 😔
You can tell that Chandler was uncomfortable
"I'm Chandler...I make jokes when I'm uncomfortable!" lol
Richard! No one was to suppose to know about us 🤣🤣
Chandler was so uncomfortable that his head was spinning and he couldn't think straight.
I absolutely love monica but i kinda had the feeling that she never fully got over richard even after years. At least not until she married Chandler
that would be zo heartbreaking for Chandler if he knew that. that he waz marrying a woman who ztill had feelingz for another.
He knew that. Because she almost went back to Richard.. But he still wanted her.. which is something difficult to approve... But it's believable since Chandler is always portrayed as someone with low self esteem.. 🤔 I guess some people would do that for love..
@@seekzugzwangful did chandler find out monica almozt went back to richard? i forgot...
@@neihomai8 yes, later when monica admitted to joey that if chandler isn't ready to propose, richard is and she will go back to him. Chandler finds that out and goes to confront Richard
She never did. Possibly even after getting married. You could see in many scenes, it seemed she settled. Nightmare. But Chandler had low self-esteem, so he didn't get affected by it.
“May be he won’t see us. Richard” lol here comes chandler’s nightmare.
3:04 I love how much Joey supports Phoebe's logic
How Rachel suddenly changes her facial expression is next level 😅🤩🔥
Just imagine if after Monica and Chandler married that Richard and Janice got together and were genuinely happy as a couple. 😄
🤣🤣🤣
I can’t imagine Richard with Janice
And moved next door to them.
omg that would be super interesting 😂😂😂
Oh. My. GAWD! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fan theory: Richard felt the ring in Chandler's coat, took the table next to postpone the proposal, and then beat Chandler to it by showing up at Monica's kitchen unannounced because he realized it was his last chance... BOOM!!!
YOU’RE A GENIUS
I kinda agree, specially Richard said “that might be fun” when the waiter told them this table is available, he knew there is something about to happen
Great stuff man! I have to remember it.
@@janemyrcristobal6571 my guess is that they had a lot of ideas, but when it came time to shoot and trimm the excess they couldn't go through with all of them and that scene is a remnant of the idea of making it so that Richard knew... But then we got what we got
You dont just ask someone to marry you when you haven't seen them properly in 3 years. And he was even lying to her about smoking.
You didn't even include Richard's overdramatic speech at the table and Chandler's "What??" That was hilarious.
😂😂
"In the sweetness of friendship, let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."
@@fans-ed1tdYep.
@@fans-ed1td Chandler: What?
Yeah I loved that 😂

2:03 “Richard no one's supposed to know about us” 😂😂😂😂😂
Of all the times to run into Monica and Chandler as a couple it had to be the night where Chandler prepares to propose to Monica
“Because the more I drink the less there is for the kids to drink.”
🤣Makes sense in a Phoebe sorta way.
True. Joey agrees 😂
This is just the sweetest Mondler moment. Both Monica and Chandler had rough childhoods, so their love was extremely precious to them, and they worked hard at it.
Monica did not have a rough childhood
if being fat as a child counts as a rough childhood, then ive had the roughest childhood out of EVERYONE
How was THAT the sweetest Mondler moment? Monica literally started flirting with her ex at the very moment when he showed up!
@@michael14561 well her mum was emotionally abusive and everyone else kept making fun of her weight.
@@ryanpatrickisafraud2561 maybe rough isn’t the right word but emotional abuse as a child is still hard to deal with.
“I’m chandler, I make jokes when I’m uncomfortable”
Yet Monica gave Chandler a hard time when he was meeting up with an old friend that he only dated once, so he could get Joey an audition once
IKR? i feel like she’s kinda unreasonable sometimes… like even when chandler told her he wouldn’t marry her just to throw her off about the proposal, but she said she’d marry richard when he asked. she’s in a committed relationship, but instead of talking to him about the issue, she just decides to marry someone else 😭
@@samsmallz she literally broke up with Richard because he didn't want kids she only stays in relationship till things work according to her
@@sanyaidnaniproudofliam6789 exactly my point. so why say that richard would offer her that life and actually consider it knowing that he doesn't want kids? the way i see it, if she is upset that chandler wont marry her, then she should either talk through it or break up with him, not think about marrying richard?? shes honestly my least favorite, even ross isn't that selfish.
@@samsmallz
Look,I get that she wasn’t at her best behavior throughout this episode and that it was shitty of her to call Richard over while being on a date with Chandler, but if you really think that Monica was selfish throughout the series, then I’m sure that you haven’t watched it.
Sure she has had her moments where she wasn’t the best, but overall she was really generous and trustful and a good friend to the rest of them.🤷🏻♀️
@@PetraPecek i never said that she was selfish throughout though, i said that she could be unreasonable sometimes. she expects things to go her way, but is too egotistical to just confront chandler and tell him what's wrong. at the end of the day, if you wanna say something, you just gotta say it. other people aren't mind readers 😑
People really love to praise Mondler and “their love” for the absolute bare minimum. They’ve had many toxic moments, including this one. Monica should have NOT called over her ex boyfriend nor should she have seemed excited about seeing him. Major red flag 🤷🏻♀️
Richard was always Monica's soulmate...Richard was the person she loved dearly... mondler was pure from Chandler's side though
2:54 "I'm just helping the kids" Lol
Yea I never got why Monica called Richard over, it always annoyed me.
It's for comedy, he was right there, would have seen them anyway
Bad writing. Makes her look so bad. The only thing I can think of is that she was trying to show off her new life/how well she's doing.
@@WASTE0802no I genuinely think she was pleased to see Richard. If you think about it Monica and Richard broke up on great terms. There was no falling out of toxicity in their breakup in the slightest. Richard didn’t want kids but Monica did. They didn’t fall out of love with each other. They just wanted different things. Quite tragic if you think about. Imagine breaking up with someone who you’re madly in love with and they’re madly in love with you too. It seems such a waste!
She freaked out. I don't think she meant to do it. I am her. Been there, done that got the t-shirt.
h ya she meant to not tell him about having a bite with richard , about her bacholartate party about whole london senirio saying she loves a man after their marriage ready to marry richard because he was finally ready to provide her marriage and kids is definitely red flag to me if you are committed
I love the love triangle between
Monica Chandler and Richard
Monica Chandler and Janice
Phoebe Mike and David
Rachel Ross and Joey
Rachel Ross and Gunther
😂😂😂
I don't think there was anything for Gunther Joey Janice 😂
Where is Chandler, Monica and Joey?
monica chandler and joey
Joey, Emma & Hugsy
Ross, Rachel and Mark.
Ross, Carol and Susan.
Ross, Rachel (again) and Paolo
Richard killing it with his looks and demeanor!
Yep. Poor Chandler didn't stand a chance and he knew it.
Oh God,maybe he won't see us..
Richarrrd..!
Its so damn infuriating to me how she calls richard over while on a date with Chandler. That disrespect is unforgiveable
bruh Monica got nervous and shouted, give her a break. It happens to the best of us. She loves Chandler so much, theyre literally such a happy and wholesome couple because they respect and adore each other.
@@lawfulhusbands if u think this is a happy couple. I have bridge in Portland to sell you
It signals to me that she still has feelings for him.
so right, that is so toxic. I don't know why so many people are like "Ooh don't think like that, Monica was just nervous, she just wanna show Richard she's happy now and already moved on, or it's just a nice gesture to say hi to an old friend blah blah. That kind of thinking is so stupid and toxic. When you are in a relationship, there're some rules you should know.
This is not about insecurity or something, it's about the RESPECT for your current partner.
"In the sweetness of friendship, let there be laughter and sharing of pleasures. For in the dew of little things, the heart finds its morning and is refreshed."
*_What??_*
💖💖💖
I actually hated Monica in this episode. Her calling Richard over was very out of character and honestly toxic behavior for her new boyfriend.
True... And honestly paints a bad picture of women (cause in reality only the worst of people would do that, not your everyday person like Monica) and men (cause I found it shocking that Chandler didn't give her like a really hard silent treatment afterwards)
But hey, Friends is 2 decades old and also people were not expecting realism in sitcoms.
U r wrong bro
U r wrong bro
What u said.
Noooo
"The reason is you" Surely this line inspired the Hoobastank song of the same name, that came out 4 years later.
She saying to richard that he always wanted her to grow her hair long, Chandler should have cursed her out.
Really can see Chandler using humour as his defence mechanism.
I find Monica seriously irritating here for acting like that. This whole Monica-Richard thing was a BIG mess.
True... And honestly paints a bad picture of women (cause in reality only the worst of people would do that, not your everyday person like Monica) and men (cause I found it shocking that Chandler didn't give her like a really hard silent treatment afterwards. I'd expect a much "darker", of course nonviolent, reaction from him. Instead, he took up the even more challenging task of pretending to not want to get married cause of Monica's bad behaviour. I'm not a sociologist or phycologist, but I can imagine that young people created standards regarding relationships from this show).
@@Gaib_al_lisan You're absolutely right, and I would say especially amongst men, becoming afraid of their partner's reaction. It's like they are scared straight so to speak, cause whenever a woman does this to them, it's totally justifiable and some women, believe it or not go further ans blame men for their stupid actions... That's sick, I hate this scene
@@sofianelaghouati6590 Regarding what you said about men, I think so too. Lately there's just so many culturally-forced blocks/friction towards saying something that some women might not appreciate, to the point that even the obvious stuff might be misinterpreted.
However, I still believe that this kind of behavior (Monica's case in this scnene) is rare. And it becomes more rare the older one grows up (at 18-22 yo it's not that big of a deal). But yeah, definitely *some* women are able to justify even the most ridiculous behaviors.
@@Gaib_al_lisanWITHOUT A DOUBT that's why u see how people act in real life today as thet did in this show regarding relationships. Art imitating life or the reverse.
@mariosgkionis3138 keep in mind that Chandler chose to get into a relationship with her inspite of her past and inspite of the fact that she was never truly over Richard. That's a red flag on his part because he feels that he's not worthy enough to get someone with a clean slate and who has genuine burning desire for him.
The 3 episodes I hated monica, 1 when she had lunch with Richard & was shocked that Chandler got mad about it, 2 this episode Monica calling her ex over when she's on a date with Chandler & 3 Monica got mad at Chandler for going out with a girl he knew from college trying to get Joey an audition that she's directing making Monica a complete hypocrite
Absolutely and fully agree.
And one where she was ready to marry Richard because chandler said he doesn't want to get married instead of talking to him she was trying to change her partner
so right, that is so toxic.
For me, it’s the Christmas episode where Chandler went to Tulsa for work and she assumed that he was cheating on her with Selma Blair’s character. He did act awkward on the phone but come on, he wouldn’t do that to her.
Are u ok ? Are u ok? His face was hillariousss
But.. uh.. other than that are you okay are you okay?
Chandler is the sweetest! T_T
Maybe Joy should 'pledge' the money ..😂😂😂
"Maybe he won't see us...RICHARD!"
"Maybe you won't see me...BYE!"
Yep. If Chandler was Chad he may have done that.
@@russkate88 well he literally got only person who cared for him no matter how toxic she was she was only one who ever loved him
Double standards of Monica🤦
1:56 Very nice rebound!
I love Chandler and Monica, but the chemistry between Monica and Richard was just too good. I loved Monica and Richard, but I also loved Monica and Chandler, lol.
Her chemistry with Richard was more natural.
The worst scene in their love story...
I felt so bad for Mr. Chan Chan Man..
Wow, I was just watching Friends when I got the notification of this. 😆
People are pissed off at Monica for calling Richard over.
I'm more pissed at Joey for buying the boat.
Yeah well atleast Joey gets a boat AND gets to help out a charity. What Monica did is hard to justify.
@Emihle Dlephu I read this with Chandler's voice.
Well, Richard's entrance wasn't too bad. Could've been Janice. Or both
O. My. God
Even if it was... I don't think Chandler would call her or flirt with her. Monica's behavior was seriously disgusting and inappropriate here.
@@shourov4637 True. But chill, it's a comedy.
but if it was Janice, it wouldn't have been the disaster that it actually was for Chandler
It could have been Richard on a date with Kathy. The two that got away.
Very crazy moment 😳 I think monica still had feelings for Richard at this moment. Who calls there ex over to there table . When they're sitting with new boyfriend. Then she also remembered Richard wanting her to grow her hair long .
Tom Selleck said that he really enjoyed wirking with Matthew Perry and thought he was an excellent actor that he learned a lot about comedy from. All of the Friends actors made each other funnier but Selleck said he thought Matthew was the funniest.
Aw that’s sweet ❤
I'm sorry, but if you call out to your ex in a restaurant while I'm about to propose to you?... I'm proposing to his date instead.
She didn't know what he was about to do. From her POV, she was just calling an old friend over. It understandably didn't please Chan though.
The writers destroyed it here... No sense of calling him when you are with the love of your life..
Agree. There is no justifiable reason for it, proposal or not. She wanted his attention.
@@CrazyIshan69an old friend lmao do u hear yourself? They had sexual relations and a close intimate connection. That's her EX after all
Thanks alot!
"I'm Chandler, I make jokes when I'm uncomfortable." Me too, Chandler... me too
He's such a good looking dude Tom Seleck
He was the Chad of the eighties
Great 👍 show
Great thing about best friends getting married is, they already know all your clumsiness, awkwardness, stupidity and all weaknesses.
I would just leave such a bitch
The knife hit the glass when he was about to propose her.. Like raising a toast!
Phoebe was funny in this 😂
"that's gold Joey, gold!"
hated monica in this episode more than i do normally
I know this was comedy, but it really is a good satire and portrays certain things very accurately. For example, the behavior of someone who was never really over their ex and was desperate to get married.
true. also, disrespecting your new partner by being all cutsey with the ex and telling, how he wanted her to grow her hair long. I feel sorry for Chandler, he deserved better.
She was dreaming about her perfect wedding since childhood and you are projecting.
Friends was good at bringing up these issues, which have become more prevalent in modern times.
@@russkate88 These issues were always there. They just weren't pointed out as much.
@@katieb3059perfect wedding isn't a thing till it's not with right person
Am I the only one who thinks rachel really looks like Ross in this scene?(expression, tone, gesture)
When Chandler said I know but just let me say it my heart broke. He was so happy about proposing to Monica, and she, despite supposedly caring about long-term goals, was more focused on the appearance of her ex.
just i wanna ❤ Monica 👸forever
That auction guy is Bania from Seinfeld
Charity is free is hilarious
Ya Monica never got over that oldie grandpa
For comedy it was funny, but realistically that's a crimson red flag to break it up right there
Which episode
I am already missing this man ....i am Chandler,i make jokes when I am uncomfortable
In that moment of Monica gushing all over Richard, Chandler should have realized that he'll never measure up. That discontent will start showing a few years into their marriage in real life.
Exactly. People think in the end getting married is the goal, when in actuality being with the person that makes you happy and not regret your proposal is better
Chandler probably did realise that but because he's a simp he decided to push through that.
@@russkate88 chandelier? 🤣🤣
@@russkate88he wasn't a simp he just had low esteem he got cheated on 3 times what else do you expect from him girls were always mean to him

Richard is such a dream
Poor Chandler couldn't compete
episode?
felt really bad for Chandler in this episode.
That wouldn't have happened if Monica had genuine burning desire for Chandler.
Saying the ex's name really runs in the family eh
rip matthew
Chandler killed in this scen
*Beginning of the season*
Monica to Chandler: "If you don't want me to see Richard anymore, I won't."
*End of the season*
Monica: "RICHARD!"
Imagine if they ran into Janice instead.
This has happened in season 7
Is just me that believes that what Monica is trying to do is showing her ex she's now better and not flirting? Anyways, is a bad thing to do because its showing she still didnt get over him. When you really get over your ex you not care anything at all about him and you don't want to see him again, not even to prove you are better now.
The way Monica reacts, she still have feelings for Richard, and that should have been an issue (yeah I know it's not real)
If Chandler cut to the questions instead the speech before Richard came in maybe Monica would not notice him
Oh ya then she would be offended and that's not first time that she did something this shifty to chandler
Chandler was amazing. Richard was no where near Chandler.
This scene states otherwise.
Love u matthew ❤
As if the 2 tables would be set up like that 😂
Richard just seized the moment like a boss
I adore moncia but she can be so toxic like this, it was pretty obvious chandler was uncomfortable and you would think monica would know that
Tom (Richard) has a home on the beach near me. Ive been on his beach (unknowingly at the time). Near Anna Maria island florida. Private beach north of there
Elaine bennece and rachael Greene meeting up for drink would be a great scene in a fiery confrontation.
Hey that’s Kenny Bania
She did not deserve Chandler
If this was real life, she'd be way too much work. Not worth it
I always wish Monica ended up with Richard. Monica and Chandler had such great chemistry as friends then they both went insane when they officially became a couple.
It would have been interesting if Chandler met Jerry for a coffee at the corfee shop.
good
Gotta love how Richard is all too happy to take the table next to Monica and Chandler, knowing she's his ex who still has burning desire for him and that he's a threat to her current partner.
A great scene in friends would be Ted danson George costanza Chandler tom selec and George Clooney having a drink and conversation in cheers bar.
