This class sure has the burn factor...you will even see Andrea shaking her legs out in parts. A quick 30 minute class, that will have you sweating in the first 5 minutes. Using the barre for the full 30 minutes, we focus on our small movements and pulses to really strength the muscles of the legs. You can build to a jumping section at the end if you choose, or omit the jumps to modify. We finish off with a short stretch to get you ready and feeling fabulous for the rest of your day.

Hi Andrea! I LOVE your videos! I use them to teach my hot barre classes and they are killer! Just wanted to thank you for all these videos. I'm a yoga, Barre, sculpt and kids yoga instructor I love to incorporate your Barre sequences into my own classes as well as my sculpt classes too! You are an incredible instructor. I've really noticed my legs are so toned, calves are more sculpt and everything is so strong! Thank you for these! Oh and I LOVE your beautiful accent! You have such a sweet disposition and attitude! BTW I only watch your Barre videos no one else comes close to the way you do things!

Just FYI for anyone about to do this workout. The title is misleading. This is not total body...It only works legs and butt.
Thanks for your comment Alex, but the title is actually very accurate. As this workout is based on ballet principals, you will see when you hold your arm correctly in ballet positions, the arm is working the whole time. Likewise, if you listen to my cues to activate your abs correctly while standing, your abs are working the WHOLE time! Just doing one plie on it's own, let alone a whole barre class, works every muscle in the body when done correctly! Andrea :)
killer workout for the legs.. I almost died after only 10 minutes XD
I hope this will help me firm job my legs. I have been exercising for lover 40 years and I never really had firm defined muscles in myth legs. I want to be able to wear dresses and look nice them and shorts.

Not necessarily a problem with the video but I searched for beginner and this came up. I don't know what most of the stuff means and I can't keep up with this anyway. Extremely discouraging. Certainly not for beginners

Great class! Just did my first one today. Very similar to my local barre class which I took for a number of years, with a great instructor. Unfortunately she moved so now glad to have this available at home. I was in great shape when it did barre and plan to get back to it! ( I still have my barre and weights) Thank you!❤

Thank you so much Andrea - I haven’t been able to go to the barre clinic since March . My lovely husband Steve was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and has been undergoing. Chemo and has just had stem cell transplant . He is so immunocompromised that I work from home and can’t attend any classes in case I catch something. Your videos are fantastic - just like being in a class with you! Thanks again - hopefully can return to barre clinic next year xLorraine

I started working out last Monday - did your 15 and 18 min workouts for the first few days, yesterday did two of them - one in the AM and one in the PM, and today I made it up to the 30 min mark :) Was able to do the whole thing w/o having to stop!

Wow, thanks Andrea. Tough on the glutes, they were burning but I really enjoy these low impact, cardio, calorie burning classes. It’s so nice to do something different to the usual HIIT classes

You don't need to book them in, you just go on and select the class you feel like doing in that moment. You can filter on style, length, level and equipment. I will be signing up in the next few days. Question, do you do adult ballet also? I use to do ballet a very long time ago as a kid. I have recently brought myself a pair of pointes just for some fun and exercise. I do know you should have a teacher with you professionally but I though I would be able to just copy you from home which should be fine?

I’m trying this out for the first time today. I have patella femoral syndrome and hope this will help strengthen yet loosen the tightness in my legs so it can get repaired without surgery!
HI Callalexi, Many barre moves are based on ballet moves, and having a 45 degree turnout in your hips/feet is actually really good for strengthening VMO (Vastus Medialus Obliques) one of your quad muscles which is helpful for Patella Femoral Syndrome...so let's hope doing this regularly will help you avoid surgery!
