And now suddenly it's official. The couple in Varus, ok. Rell and Neeko, kinda forced but eh. Cait and Vi, fanservice for Arcane, but meh. But these two? F*ck off RITO.
Edit: Don't get me wrong, is not about their preferences, it's the fact that this kind of move tends to be detrimental for the characters on the long run. Sexuality should never be a defining point of a character cuz if you take it out of the picture they end up bland and boring. As sprinkles on top? Perfect. As a cornerstone or central piece of a character development? Huge mistake.

The whole Ruination arc is about parallelisms.
Lucian and Senna as a parallel couple to Viego and Isolde.
Viego and Gwen as parallel povs about life and death created by Isolde.
Viego, the villain, as a parallel to Akshan, the hero.
For Lucian/Viego they also released a comic you can found in the Universe page. The first issue is pretty clear, there's one narrator talking about love but paneles switch from one couple to the other.
There is a new comic currently released bit by bit that actually outlines the parallells between viego and lucian in great detail
Yeah I think the Veigo story isnt that interesting anymore. I think they wanted the whole ruined king story for his wife but feels like it’s falling flat
Biggest difference is that Lucian succeeded and Senna actually wants to be with him 🤭

Sentinel Graves has an interaction to Olaf where he calls him a "LARGE MUSKY BARBARIAN" which implies that Graves is flirting with Olaf. So the "Northman" in mentioned in the story is most likely Olaf since he's the only guy Graves flirted with who came from Freljord which the North part of Runeterra.
