Hey Pete. I’ve got an older ipad with some songs on it. How can I transfer that to my phone?
Hey there! Depends how old. If you can Airdrop that’s the best way. Otherwise iCloud Drive can work well? studiolivetoday.com/garageband
QUESTION: HELP! According to one of your videos, I can set the bit rate for a project to 24 bit, so I can share it as a 24 bit WAV file. I followed your instructions on how to change the bit rate from 16 bit to 24 bit for the audio file of one of my completed songs. I went to the Export window, clicked on SHARE, chose UNCOMPRESSED WAV 24 bit, and saved it to iCloud. When I went to send it to a company for a free mastering session, their website would not accept my file because it was AIFF. When I opened the file myself, it was indeed AIFF. I can't get it to save as a WAV file to save myself. Do I need to assign the bit rate to 24 bit BEFORE I merge all my tracks to a stereo file? I am working on an iPad.
That’s a strange one. If you select WAV it should definitely save as a WAV. AIF is the option above (also 24 bit) as you would see. Make sure you’re using “open in” first and then saving the WAV file and it should be fine. I did exactly this yesterday on a bunch of songs and worked okay.
@@PeteJohnsMusicThanks for your help but I am still unable to get my songs to convert to 44.1/24-bit uncompressed WAV files and if I can't, I have just spent the last month working on 10 songs that I can't send off for mastering. At what point during this process am I supposed to see the "Open In" prompt. I have never seen this prompt. When I follow your instructions, I select the song I want, Tap "Share", the tap "Song" and click on 44.1/24-bit uncompressed WAV file. I then tap "Share," but I do not get the 2nd row of options on my iPad that appear on your video. I only get the top row of options. All I get on my 2nd row of options is "Open In...," "MAC" and "Add Tags." Any other thoughts or do any of the Garage Band veterans out there have a clue what my problem is?
You can be a DJ or RJ
I can? Cool.
Yes I think you have the skills for it! 😁
Do you know that you can rename the regions or when you split you can name them differently to on the same tracks I do that all the times to my regions
That’s a great tip and something that I should definitely start doing. 👍
Pete Johns wow I just watched the link u sent me thank yo so much !
Al _ cool
I’m trying to connect my Focusrite 2i2 Solo to my MacBook Air, will I need an USB adapter?
No, you should be able to plug in directly using the included USB cable.
PLEASE HELP I’ve been needing to add multiple plugins and eq to my guitar tracks on GB but I’m using the built in keyboard version of guitar but it only allows me to add 2 effects. Is there a way I could add more than that to the track?
Hey there. What you can do is use a strategy like this to merge your guitar track down to an audio track and then use more plugins. ruclips.net/video/qGpRtg88nm8/видео.html
Pete Johns so basically make the track, add the plugins I can. Then copy it to another track, add different plug-ins, then merge the two together right ?
could someone let me know best price for ipad ios 10 or 11
Hey there. What are you asking sorry?
@@PeteJohnsMusic Sir, thank you so much for your response. I ordered the Behringer interface that you had suggested.since my iPad 3 has a 30 pin adapter I had to order a converter for that. I also ordered another lightning cable so that I can charge while I'm recording. The cables will be here tomorrow and the interface will be here in a week or so. I just wanted your opinion that these would work on my iOS device which is an iPad 3 and only goes up to nine point something as far is upgrading. also I use jam up pro as it has been giving me a wonderful sound just as a guitar amp itself.also, I have been using the analog PV amp kit. I hope that taking it to digital will give me better results. this will work out please give me any insight or advice you may have. thanks so much for your time and your great channel.
@@PeteJohnsMusic Pete I also wanted to mention that I use my interface and iPad more for just a guitar amplifier then I do a recording studio. I feel like that's something that I should have mentioned earlier. Also if I'm not mistaken I realized today that I need to get the 4 USB port adapter to power the Steinberg interface. Is that correct?
